He Teaches Us

Image
This is what the LORD says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow. Oh, that you had listened to my commands! Then you would have had peace flowing like a gentle river and righteousness rolling over you like waves in the sea.” — Isaiah 48:17-18 (NLT) May we turn a deaf ear to the voices of this world and listen to the still small voice of Yahweh. He teaches us what is good for us. For the LORD is God, and he created the heavens and earth and put everything in place. He made the world to be lived in, not to be a place of empty chaos. “I am the LORD,” he says, “and there is no other.” (Isaiah 45:18 NLT) He speaks only what is true and declares only what is right. He will never go back on His word. (See Isaiah 45:19 & 23) “ Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me. Only I can tell you the future before it even happen...

Why has all this happened to us?

Image
The angel of the LORD appeared to him and said to him, “The LORD is with you, O valiant warrior.” Then Gideon said to him, “O my lord, if the LORD is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about…” — Judges 6:12-13a (NASB) God never said His people would not go through things. In John 16:33, Jesus warned that in the world we would have many trials and sorrows. The promise is that He is with us always. He is our constant Companion and Comforter. The Lord makes a way for us, through the storms of life. He gives us strength to persevere to the end. Take courage, Jesus has overcome the world. Continue in prayer and praise to our heavenly Father. Keep your trust and hope in the Lord. The  “ why? ”  of our circumstances is not as important as the  “ WHO ” In God, we have all we need to overcome.

Covered with His Feathers

He is the one who will rescue you from hunters’ traps and from deadly plagues. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge. His truth is your shield and armor.  — Psalm 91:3-4 (GW) When we continually abide under the shadow of the Almighty, we don't need to fear terrors of the night, the arrows that fly during the day, the plagues that roam the dark, or epidemics that strike at noon (Psalm 91:5-6). Our heavenly Father covers us with the feathers of His love. If we get ensnared by a trap of the enemy, He rescues us. His truth shields us from the lies of the evil one. Thank God for His faithfulness!

An Undivided Heart

Teach me your way, LORD, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name. I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever. For great is your love toward me; you have delivered me from the depths, from the realm of the dead. Psalm 86:11-13 (NIV) May our hearts be undivided, singly sold out for the LORD. Let us love Him with all our hearts. Learn His ways and honor Him in everything you do and say. Great is His love toward us. He is our deliverer. Glorify His name forever!

The Best Pathway

The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. Psalm 32:8 (NLT) We all want the best for ourselves, our spouse, children, family and friends. Our Father, God says, the path He puts us on, is the best one for us. Let us follow, as He instructs us and teaches us the way to go. The good plans the LORD has for you are to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Do not lean on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do.

The LORD Knows

I will rejoice and be glad because of your mercy. You have seen my misery. You have known the troubles in my soul. Psalm 31:7 (GW) The LORD knows the troubles of your soul. And He says, “In the world you’ll have trouble. But cheer up! I have overcome the world.” In Psalm 91:15, our heavenly Father says, “I will be with you in trouble, and I will deliver and honor you.” Let your soul be in peace and call on the LORD who is full of lovingkindness and rich in mercy.

Live in Peace

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Colossians 3:15 (NIV) Followers of Jesus Christ are called to live in peace with everyone. Let His peace rule in your hearts and minds. As God's children, we have an unlimited source of peace. Refuse to worry about anything. Don't stir up strife. Instead, cast all your cares on Him. Extend grace to others as God has been very gracious to you. Live in the continuous flow of God's peace!

His Presence in Us!

Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the LORD! Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face evermore! 1 Chronicles 16:10-11 (KJV) The Old Testament believers had to travel to a certain place to meet with God. For today's believers, seeking the LORD, is a matter of the heart. It's a matter of what or Whom we allow to consume our thoughts. Those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior, have His Holy Spirit dwelling on the inside. As we seek the LORD, we strive to live a life that pleases our heavenly Father and gives glory to His kingdom. As we submit to His Holy Spirit, we continually abide in His Presence. In His Presence is abundant joy and peace forever. Set your heart and mind on the LORD and you will find that He is always there!

Good All the Time!

I say to the LORD, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.” I say of the holy people who are in the land, “They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.” Psalm 16:2-3 (NIV) Apart from God we have no good thing. Every perfect, desirable and beneficial gift we have comes from our Father, who made the sun, moon, and stars. He doesn’t change like the shifting shadows (James 1:17). He is good all the time! May we delight ourselves in the Presence of the LORD and revel in His great goodness.

Blessed with Every Spiritual Blessing!

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, Ephesians 1:3 (NKJ) Because of His amazing love, God adopted us into His family through Jesus Christ and blessed us with every spiritual blessing. God sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” (Galatians 4:6). We are blessed beyond measure to be children of God and to have His Spirit living in our hearts. It's not about religion, but relationship. Our Daddy loves us with an unfailing love and He is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us (Ephesians 3:20). May we always engage in consistent fellowship with our Father, our greatest blessing!

He is Trustworthy!

The LORD is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does. The LORD upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. Psalm 145:13-16 (NIV) The LORD is faithful and always keeps His promises. He gives a helping hand to the fallen and lifts up those whose backs are bent over from carrying heavy loads. Look to our heavenly Father, fully expecting Him to meet your every need. He is Jehovah Jireh, your provider and God of abundance. Your hope will not be disappointed. God does not play favorites (Romans 2:11). With His open Hand, He satisfies the desires of every living thing.

An Ever-Present God

If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. Psalm 139:8-10 (NIV) When bad things happen people often ask, "Where is God?" He is by your side when you receive that bad report, holding your hand, and being your strength. He is your comfort and your support. His arms embrace you and His hand guides you through the dark times. He is the lifter of your head. Our heavenly Father is Jehovah Shammah, an ever-present God! He is always with us, today, tomorrow and forever. Praise the LORD!

Count on the LORD

I am counting on the LORD; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word. I long for the Lord more than sentries long for the dawn, yes, more than sentries long for the dawn. Psalm 130:5-6 (NLT) When we count on the LORD, we put more faith in His Word than in any other report we receive. We don't dwell on any thoughts, ideas or suggestions the devil sends our way. Instead we meditate on the perfect Word of God. Long for the LORD, more than the worker looks for the end of his shift. We can count on Him, to be there for us at all times.

Sweeter than Honey

How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path. Psalm 119:103-104 (NIV) How sweet are the words of the LORD! His words for us: beloved, friend, a chosen people, and a royal priesthood. He speaks of brand new compassions every morning, amazing grace, tender mercies, everlasting love, and eternal life. Get understanding from His Word. Blessed are those who gain understanding. Whoever has understanding keeps a straight course (Proverbs 15:21).

This is the Day!

This is the day which the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24 (NAS) God woke you up this morning and gave you the strength to get out of bed. That gives you something to rejoice about. Be glad and rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! The joy of the LORD is your strength. Celebrate God all day, every day (Philippians 4:4, The Message). Amen.

Blessed, Happy & Fortunate

Hallelujah! Blessed is the person who fears the LORD and is happy to obey his commands. His descendants will grow strong on the earth. The family of a decent person will be blessed. Wealth and riches will be in his home. His righteousness continues forever. Psalm 112:1-3 (GW) Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who fears (reveres and worships) the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments (Psalm 112:1, Amp). Let us not only obey God's commands, let us do it with a good attitude, greatly delighting in obeying the LORD. The person who does this is blessed, happy and fortunate. This blessing flows onto their family members and the following generations. Talk about GOOD NEWS. Can it get any better? Worship the LORD, for He is good!

Got Peace?

With perfect peace you will protect those whose minds cannot be changed, because they trust you. Trust the Lord always, because the Lord, the Lord alone, is an everlasting rock. Isaiah 26:3-4 (God's Word) The LORD keeps everyone who trusts Him, in perfect peace. Instead of letting circumstances and those temporary things that can be seen change your mind, keep your thoughts are fixed on Him. As you trust in the LORD, His perfect peace will reign in your heart, mind, spirit and soul. He is the everlasting Rock. You can depend on Him. Amen.

What's in Your Heart?

God does not see as humans see. Humans look at outward appearances, but the Lord looks into the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7 (GW) People judge by outward appearance, but God looks into our hearts. First Chronicles 28:9 says, the LORD searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought. Does our heavenly Father and His loving nature dwell in your heart? Do you love your enemies and forgive those who wrong you? Let us be men and women after God's own heart.

Who Can Compare?

I will sing of the Lord’s unfailing love forever! Young and old will hear of your faithfulness. Your unfailing love will last forever. Your faithfulness is as enduring as the heavens. Psalm 89:1-2 (NLT) Sing about the LORD's unfailing love. For who in the skies above can compare with the LORD? Who is like the LORD among the heavenly beings? (Psalm 89:6) There is no one who compares to the LORD. He is an awesome God! He is a mighty God! He is forever faithful and the love He has for us never fails. The LORD is always there, to comfort, to guide, to protect and to provide. Enjoy His presence today, tomorrow and forever!

Grace & Glory

For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right. Psalm 84:11 (NLT) The LORD gives us grace and glory. What more do we need? With God's grace we have unmerited favor and forgiveness. In 2 Corinthians 12:9, God says, "My grace is sufficient for you." He shows us the incomparable riches of His grace. The LORD has crowned us with glory and honor (Hebrews 2:7). In Psalm 3:3, He is a shield around us, our glory, and the One who lifts our heads up high. Thank God for His grace and glory!
