God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”; and He said, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ — Exodus 3:14 (NASB) Our great God is all we need Him to be and more. He is a strong tower and a safe refuge in the storm. The LORD is our Shepherd, who leads and guides us. He watches over His people and takes care of us. The LORD is a friend to those who fear him. He teaches them his covenant. (Psalm 25:14 NLT)  YAHWEH is a faithful Father, and a constant Companion. You have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” (Romans 8:15) His presence is always with us. When all others abandon us, He stands by our side. His Spirit dwells within us, and gives us strength. Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16) May your eyes continually look to the LORD from whom comes your help.

The name of the LORD is above the doctor’s report, that bank statement, the lies and threats of the enemy, etc. His name is greater than any situation you face.  Let us praise the name of God— it’s the only Name worth praising. It takes our attention off of the problem and puts it on the One who can solve it. Prayer draws us deeper into the Presence of Almighty God. In His Presence is our peace, and our protection. When we pray, we enlist the help of our heavenly Father, and it opens the door for the power of His Holy Spirt to work in us and through us. Our prayers help us to persevere and receive the promises of His Word. In Matthew 21:21-22 (NASB), Jesus said, “ Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it will happen. He is above any situation or circumstance that arises. Be willing to run and keep running, to the name of the LORD, until your race is won. He will deliver you from trouble. When you walk, your steps will not be hindered, and when you run, you will not stumble. (Proverbs 4:12 NKJV)

“I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith…” — Revelation 2:13 (NKJV) Hold fast to the name of Jesus. His name is above every name. His name is above all disease and sickness. His name is above poverty and lack. His name holds the power to destroy bondages and set captives free. His name has power to heal broken hearts and restore hope. At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, (Philippians 2:10). The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe. ( Proverbs 18:10 ). Hold fast to His name.

Keep your trust in Him and you will not be disappointed. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him (Psalm 2:12). Abide in Him, at all times, whether good or bad. The LORD is a strong tower and a mighty fortress. He will not abandon those who seek Him.
