Visible Faith

Image
And some men were carrying on a bed a man who was paralyzed; and they were trying to bring him in and to set him down in front of Him. But not finding any way to bring him in because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and let him down through the tiles with his stretcher, into the middle of the crowd, in front of Jesus. Seeing their faith, He said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven you.” — Luke 5:18-20 (NASB) These men had the kind of faith, Jesus could see. And because of their faith, the paralytic received his healing, and went home glorifying God (Luke 5:25). Do you have the visible kind of faith that finds a way to get others in front of Jesus? Let us have the type of faith that displays compassion and kindness, the quality of faith that demonstrates care and concern for those in need. May we have the kind of faith that brings those in need, to Jesus, the Savior of the world. He is the answer to every problem, mountain, giant and storm. In Luke 18:8, Jesus asked the question,...

Come & Eat

Image
Jesus said to them, “Come and eat breakfast.” Yet none of the disciples dared ask Him, “Who are You?”—knowing that it was the Lord. Jesus then came and took the bread and gave it to them, and likewise the fish. — John 21:12-13 (NKJV) This is now the third time Jesus showed Himself to His disciples after He was raised from the dead (John 21:14 NKJV). Jesus cares about you and He wants to spend time with you. Revelation 3:20 says, He stands at the door and continually knocks. If you hear His voice and open the door, He will come in to you and dine with you and you with Him. Open the door of your heart and dwell among those who know Him. Jesus is the bread of life (John 6:48). If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever (John 6:51). Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Bl...

Complete Unity, How Pleasant!

“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. — John 17:20-21 (NKJV) Jesus prayed that all who believe in Him would be completely united. Then the world will know that God sent Jesus and that God loved us even as He have loved Jesus (John 1:23). My beloved brothers and sister, let there be no division in the body of Christ. May we have equal concern for each other (1 Corinthians 12:25) and seek peace and unity. Psalm 133:1 says, how good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!
