Manna for Your Morning

Be gracious to me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; According to the abundance of Your compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. — Psalms 51:1-2 (LSB) Psalms 51:10 (TPT) says: “Keep creating in me a clean heart. Fill me with pure thoughts and holy desires, ready to please you.” Our sanctification is a continual process. Let us confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. “ You will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast [that is, committed and focused on You—in both inclination and character], because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation]. ” — Isaiah 26:3 (AMP) What or who has captured your attention? Don’t fall for the distractions of our enemy or this world. Being distracted away from the LORD, His will and His Word, will cause us to drift in the wrong direction, away from our heavenly Father. With distance, doubt tends to arise and the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the constantly changing conditions and circumstances of this life. However, when we fix our thoughts on Yahweh, and commit to following Him, He will guard our minds and keep us in perfect and constant peace. Those who trust and take refuge in our mighty God will not be shaken by adverse circumstances, because we know the One Who is above it all.

I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.] — Philippians 4:13 (AMP)   God arms us with strength, and he makes our way perfect. (See Psalm 18:32 NLT) We grow tired and weary trying to do things in our own strength or trying to work our own plan. We can be confident, that Yahweh will equip us to do all that He has called us to do. We are strengthened and empowered to fulfill His purpose and plan, and it's the LORD’s purpose that will prevail (See Proverbs 19:21) And I find that the strength of Christ’s explosive power infuses me to conquer every difficulty (See Philippians 4:13 TPT)  Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and...

And to Him (the Messiah) was given dominion (supreme authority), glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations, and speakers of every language should serve and worship Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which will not pass away; and His kingdom is one which will not be destroyed. — Daniel 7:14 (AMP) Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. (Psalm 37:1-2 NKJV) The kingdoms of this world are temporary, but as believers, we are citizens of the Kingdom of God and His Kingdom has everlasting dominion and supreme authority, over all. “...when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit upon his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered in his presence, and he will separate the people as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. — Ephesians 6:10 (NASB) How can we stand strong throughout the storms of life? Only by abiding in the Lord. In Matthew 11:29 (NIV), Jesus invites us to take His yoke upon ourselves and learn from Him. This is an invitation to work together with Him as one. Accept His invitation to work in you and through you. For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building (1 Corinthians 3:9 NASB) I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. — Galatians 2:20 (NASB)

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. — Psalm 23:1-4 (NASB) No matter how dark the valley you may walk through, remember the Shepherd is with you. The Amplified Bible says: The LORD is my Shepherd to feed, to guide and to shield me… (Psalm 23:1a). I will say to the LORD, “ My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust! ” For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper and from the deadly pestilence. (Psalm 91:2-3 NASB)

“I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Choose life so that you and your descendants may live, love the LORD your God, obey him, and remain faithful to him. For he is your life, and he will prolong your days…” — Deuteronomy 30:19-20 (CSB)  Each and every day we are presented with choices that either bring life or bring death. When we speak words of life, we transmit hope, peace and love. When we speak negative, critical words or engage in gossip, we kill joy, hope, love, peace, etc., not only in ourselves but in those who hear our words. It’s not just the words we speak, but our thoughts and actions either give life and blessing or lead to cursing and death. Choose life each moment of the day. Our heavenly Father instructs us to choose life and live under His cloud of blessing. As children of God, that is where we not only survive, but thrive. Examine yourself and see if your choices lead to life ...

In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul. — Psalm 138:3 (NKJV) Our heavenly Father responds to His people. His ear is always open to our cry. When we call to Him, He answers. (Psalm 86:7) When we ask for wisdom, He gives it to us (James 1:5) He fills in the gaps of our weaknesses, with His power and strength. When we fall, He is there to lift us up again. He responds to our sickness with healing in His wings. (Malachi 4:2) In times of trouble, He delivers us. When we are lost, He shows us the way. Thank you! Everything in me says “Thank you!” Angels listen as I sing my thanks. I kneel in worship facing your holy temple and say it again: “Thank you!” Thank you for your love, thank you for your faithfulness; Most holy is your name, most holy is your Word. (Psalm 138:1-2 MSG)

But he did not doubt or waver in unbelief concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and empowered by faith, giving glory to God, being fully convinced that God had the power to do what He had promised. — Romans 4:20-21 (AMP) Abraham took God at His Word, when He said he would have a son. He did not consider the past infertility of his wife. He faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead, but He didn’t allow the facts to weaken his faith. (Romans 4:19) When current conditions appear hopeless, don't waver in unbelief, and have no doubt. Live fully persuaded that God is able to make good on all His wonderful promises. Just as Abraham grew, let us grow strong and empowered by our faith, as we progress from one glory to another. Faith looks through the shortcomings of yesterday. It sees beyond the realities of today and actively pursues the promises and possibilities available in God.

Hear, my son, and be wise; and guide your heart in the way. — Proverbs 23:19 (NKJV) Let us not blindly follow our hearts, emotions and feelings. Instead, may we exercise self-control and set our hearts to follow God’s way. Let's meditate on His Word, so it can trickle down from our heads and into our hearts. Then, when we encounter trials of any kind, our hearts will not fail or grow faint because they are strengthened with the Word of God. Be wise and continually steer your heart in the right direction, and your actions will take the proper course. As a result, you will reach the desired destination.

Lord, make me to know my end and [to appreciate] the measure of my days—what it is; let me know and realize how frail I am [how transient is my stay here]. Behold, You have made my days as [short as] handbreadths, and my lifetime is as nothing in Your sight. Truly every man at his best is merely a breath!  Selah [pause, and think calmly of that]! — Psalm 39:4-5 (AMP) Our life on this earth is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone (James 4:14). May we appreciate each and every moment and make the most of every opportunity God gives us. He woke you up today, that means God has something more for you to do. Amen!

The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.”  — Jeremiah 31:3 (NKJV) The Message Bible says it this way: “I’ve never quit loving you and never will. Expect love, love, and more love!” With an everlasting love, our heavenly Father draws us to Himself. Be captivated with His love!  And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:17-19).

The one who enters through the gate is the shepherd. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep respond to his voice. He calls his sheep by name and leads them out of the pen.  — John 10:2-3 (GW) Jesus calls you by name. He is intimately acquainted with you. He knows the number of hairs on your head. You have not been forgotten. Jesus is the good Shepherd. He knows His sheep and His sheep know Him (John 10:14). Jesus knows everything about us, the best and the absolute worst. Yet, He still loves us. What an amazing love we have in Jesus!

The Lord is my Strength and my [impenetrable] Shield; my heart trusts in, relies on, and confidently leans on Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song will I praise Him. Psalm 28:7 (AMP) As we put all of our confidence in the LORD and lean on Him, He helps us. Our hearts are filled with joy because we know that God is working for our good. May we continually lift up to the LORD songs of praise and thanksgiving.
