Manna for Your Morning

Then they arose early in the morning and worshiped before the LORD, and returned again to their house in Ramah. And Elkanah had relations with Hannah his wife, and the LORD remembered her.  — 1 Samuel 1:19 (NASB1995) In 1 Samuel 1:10 (NLT), Hannah was in deep anguish, crying bitterly as she prayed to the LORD. Eli, the priest, saw her lips moving but heard no sound, so he thought she had been drinking. (See 1 Samuel 1:12-13 NLT) “Oh no, sir!” she replied. “I haven’t been drinking wine or anything stronger. Be confident that whatever difficulties come your way today, He is well able to handle them. He is higher than any mountain, and more powerful than the waves of adversity. “ When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the LORD; and my prayer went up to You, into Your holy temple. ”  — Jonah 2:7 (NKJV) Always remember the LORD, our mighty God. When you are in distress, seek Him first. He is our source and strength. God is our helper and healer. He is our only hope. His name is above all other names. There is more power in His name than in the doctors report or the financial statement. When faced with troubles of any kind, let your prayers go up to the LORD Most High. Jonah said: “ I cried out to the LORD because of my affliction, and He answered me. “Out of the belly of Sheol I cried, and You heard my voice. ” (Jonah 2:2) No matter where you are, when you call upon the LORD, He will hear your voice and answer.

Remember me, my God, for good, according to all that I have done for this people. — Nehemiah 5:19 (NKJV) Like Nehemiah, may we be remembered for the good we have done for people. “ Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults—unless, of course, you want the same treatment. Don’t condemn those who are down; that hardness can boomerang. Be easy on people; you’ll find life a lot easier. Give away your life; you’ll find life given back, but not merely given back—given back with bonus and blessing. Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity. ” (Luke 6:37-38 MSG) Jesus gave His life. Follow in His footsteps. Let us generously give what has so freely been given to us: the light, life, and love of God.

And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the LORD and wept in anguish. — 1 Samuel 1:10 (NKJV) Hannah was sorrowful because she was not able to bear children. In her great distress, she poured out her soul before the LORD (1 Samuel 1:15). When we are in distress it’s best to go to the LORD, and cast our cares upon Him. First Samuel 1:19 says the LORD remembered her. So it came to pass in the process of time that Hannah conceived and bore a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, “Because I have asked for him from the LORD.” (1 Samuel 1:20) Whatever you have asked of the LORD, whatever you have poured your soul out to Him about, know that He has not forgotten you. In the the process of time, the desires of your heart will come forth. Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD! (Psalm 27:14) I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in His word I do hope. (Psalm 130:5)

God remembered us when we were down, His love never quits.  Rescued us from the trampling boot, His love never quits.  Takes care of everyone in time of need. His love never quits.  Thank God, who did it all! His love never quits! — Psalm 136:23-26 (MSG) The LORD has done great things for us, and we are glad (Psalm 126:3). No matter how low the circumstances of this life may bring us, God remembers us. He delivers us from all our troubles. He brings up out of the pit. He saves us. Oh, give thanks to the God of heaven! For His mercy endures forever (Psalm 136:26 NKJV).

Therefore say to the children of Israel: ‘I am the LORD; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. — Exodus 6:6 (NKJV) In Exodus 6:5, the LORD says, “I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel whom the Egyptians keep in bondage, and I have remembered My covenant.” Our heavenly Father, always hears the groans of His children. He knows the anguish of our souls. You have not been forgotten. The LORD will bring you out from under your burdens and rescue you with an outstretched arm.
