Don't Fret

Image
Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. — Philippians 4:6-7 (MSG) Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in every circumstance and situation, present your requests to God, with thanksgiving. And the perfect peace of God which transcends all human understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus, the Anointed One. As long as we are in Christ Jesus that peace is ours. The LORD will keep the peace, a perfect peace, for all who trust in Him, for those who dedicate their hearts and minds to Him. (See Isaiah 26:3 VOICE) The mountains may disappear, and the hills may come to an end, but my love will never disappear; my promise of peace will not come to an end,” says the ...

HE will Do It

Image
Be still before the LORD; wait patiently for Him and entrust yourself to Him; Do not fret (whine, agonize) because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who carries out wicked schemes. — Psalm 34:7 (AMP) Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He will do it. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light and your judgment as the noonday. (Psalm 34:5-6 NASB) Evildoers will be cut off. The arms of the wicked will be broken, but the LORD sustains the righteous. (Psalm 34:17) Day by day the LORD takes care of the innocent, and they will receive an inheritance that lasts forever. (Psalm 34:18 NLT) God's got you!

Wait on the Lord

Image
For from days of old no one has heard, nor has ear perceived, nor has the eye seen a God besides You, Who works and acts in behalf of the one who [gladly] waits for Him. — Isaiah 64:4 (AMP) Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. (Psalm 37:7) Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord! (Psalm 27:14) Our walk with the Lord is not a do-it-yourself project. Let us wait patiently, with gladness of heart and full of confidence that our God will work everything together for good. My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him. — Psalm 62:5 (NKJV)

Be Still & Wait

Image
Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes. — Psalm 37:7 (NLT) For evildoers will be cut off, but those who wait for the LORD, they will inherit the land. — Psalm 37:9 (NASB) Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.  (Psalm 37:1-6 NKJV)

Live in the Present

Image
“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.” — Matthew 6:34 (MSG) Each day is a gift. If we rewind to past disappointments or fast forward and fret about tomorrow, we are allowing the enemy to steal the joy of living this moment, in the Presence of the LORD. When we live in the past or jump into the future, we are distracted and disconnected from what God is doing right now. Instead press play and live! Give attention to what God is doing right now, and experience fullness of joy. Focus on His Presence and your heart and mind will be full of peace. He gives us our daily bread, strength for today. We have the promise of His Presence and with God on our side, nothing can stand against us.

Feed on His Faithfulness

Image
Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. — Psalm 37:3 (NKJV) No need to fret, because our God is able and He is faithful. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. (Lamentations 3:23 NLT) Feast on His faithfulness. Take it in and let it soak into every fiber of your being. For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. (Psalm 84:11 NASB) Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. (Matthew 6:8 NASB) If He has not given it to you, it may not be a good thing for you, at this time. I will sing of the LORD’s unfailing love forever! Young and old will hear of your faithfulness. (Psalm 89:1 NLT) Make His faithfulness known to all generations.

Praise Him for the Help of His Presence

Image
Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him for the help of His presence. — Psalm 42:5 (NASB) Sometimes we tend to focus on the things that are not right, which often leads to feelings of frustration and anger. But Psalm 37:1 says, “Do not fret because of evildoers, be not envious toward wrongdoers.” Instead of trying to figure out the wrongs, let us be students of the Word and truth. Let’s look at what is right and fix our eyes upon Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. May we thank God for all He has done and continually praise Him for all He is doing right now. Trust Him to right the wrongs, and work it all together for good. I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where shall my help come? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 121:1-2 NASB)

I will Rejoice!

Image
Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the LORD! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! — Habakkuk 3:17-18 (NLT) Habakkuk is saying that no matter how bad his outer circumstances appeared, he was not going to allow them to stop him from praising God. When your situation looks hopeless, do not fret, and have no worries, continue to rejoice in the God of our salvation. Surely, no situation is too difficult for the LORD to handle. With our great God all things our possible.

Stand Still

Image
And Moses said to them, “Stand still, that I may hear what the LORD will command concerning you.” — Numbers 9:8 (NKJV) Instead of rushing into something God has not called you to, stand still and wait to hear His instruction and guidance. Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for Him to act. (Psalm 37:7a NLT). Do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. (Psalm 37:7b NIV). The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the LORD, and He delights in his way [and blesses his path]. (Psalm 37:23 AMP)

Why Worry?

Image
“And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest?” — Luke 12:25-26 (NASB) When tempted to worry here are three things to remember. 1) God is with you. In the fiery furnace or in the flood, in stormy times and in times of trouble, His Presence is with you and He will bring you through. 2) The battle belongs to the LORD. Do not fret or be anxious. Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He will do it (Psalm 37:5). Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him (Psalm 37:7). 3) He has already won the victory. In John 19:30 when Jesus declared, “It is finished!” the victory was accomplished. In Him we are more than conquerors. Just as He overcame, we overcome!

Mind, Be Still!

Image
“And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind.” — Luke 12:29 (NKJV) The Prince of Peace instructs, not to have an anxious mind. Psalm 37:8b says, do not fret—it only causes harm. If your thoughts are troubling, unsettling and constantly searching for answers, peace will be far from you. Where the mind goes, the man or woman follows. Just as a teabag is seeped in hot water, soak your mind in the Word of God and your heart will remain in the perfect peace of God. Instead of trying to figure everything out on your own, look to the One who has already written the Book.

Do Not Fret

Image
Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. — Philippians 4:6 (AMP) Anxiety comes when we allow our thoughts to jump into the future and play out worse case scenarios. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own (Matthew 6:34 NIV). We enter God’s peace when we dwell in His Presence and stay focused on Him in the moment.

You will See His Goodness

— Philippians 4:6-7 (MSG) We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them (Romans 8:26-28 NLT). He already has every detail worked out, and placed into His master plan. So remain confident of this: you will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13 NIV).

Trust & Hope in the LORD!

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD.” — Jeremiah 17:7 (NKJV) The person who trusts in the LORD, shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit (Jeremiah 17:8). Seasons come and seasons go, but the LORD remains faithful through them all! Do not fret, fear or be anxious. No matter how hopeless things appear, be confident that our great God will provide everything you need, in every area of life.

REJOICE!

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! — Philippians 4:4 (NIV) How can we be full of joy at all times? By casting ALL our cares on the Lord. Be anxious for nothing. Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life (Philippians 4:6-7, The Message). And remember to thank God for all He has done!

Don't Fret

Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. Philippians 4:6-7 (The Message) Do you fret? Instead of allowing circumstances to agitate or irritate, the Apostle Paul encourages us to turn our worries into prayers. As we make our requests known to God and thank Him for all He has done, His peace will settle us down. With Christ as the central focal point of our lives, we can be confident in God's ability to work everything together for good. Love, Jackie

Wait Patiently

Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Psalm 37:7 (NIV) When we have done all we can do in any given situation, it is time to be still and wait patiently on the LORD. God says, "do not fret, be afraid or worry." Be anxious for nothing. We are not to whine, complain or grumble. Be still and rest in the goodness of the LORD. He is faithful, trust Him to work everything out in His perfect timing. Love, Jackie
