We can get caught up in the confusion, chaos and turmoil or we can keep our eyes on Jesus. He is the Prince of Peace and He has already overcome the world. (See Isaiah 9:6 & John 16:33) Let us look away from all that will distract us and fix our eyes on our Lord and Savior. Jesus Christ is always the same yesterday and today and forever. (See Hebrews 13:8) In Christ, we have a firm foundation, and Christ Jesus Himself is the chief Cornerstone. When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation . — Proverbs 10:25 (NASB) The storms of life may come, but the righteous will never be shaken. (See Proverbs 10:30) The LORD will be the security and stability of our times. (See Isaiah 33:6 AMP) After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. (1 Peter 5:10 NASB) So, brothers and sisters, be strong in the Lord. Draw your strength and might from God. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.  — Ephesians 6:11 (NASB)

Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind… — Job 38:1 (NKJV) Do not fear the storms of life. The storm won't outlast our mighty God. And Nahum 1:3 says, the LORD has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm. His ways our higher than ours. Let what needs to be blown out of your life be carried away. When the whirlwind passes by, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation. Build your life on the Rock, and who is a rock, except our God. (Psalm 18:31) In Proverbs 10:25, The Message Bible says “ When the storm is over, there’s nothing left of the wicked; good people, firm on their rock foundation, aren’t even fazed .” Don’t be fazed by the storms of life. Trust God and stand on His Word. When all the dust settles, you will still be standing. Proverbs 10:6a (NASB) says, “ Blessings are on the head of the righteous …” Proverbs 10:9a (NASB) goes on to say: He who walks in integrity walks securely … Our God is great and awesome, more powerful than any storm. He is also a loving Father and He always takes care of His children. Amen!

We don’t have to fear when the storms come because the godly have an everlasting foundation. Jesus is our firm foundation, and we will not be moved. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 3:11) In Luke 6:47-48 (NKJV), Jesus said: “ Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. ” Build on the Rock!

(1 Peter 4:12) The storms of life, come to us all. The Word says "when" the whirlwind passes, not "if". Not only is it going to come. It is also going to pass. The good news for Believers is that we have a strong, immovable foundation, to hold us steady when the winds of adversity blow. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 3:11 NLT) Therefore, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: “Look! I am placing a foundation stone in Jerusalem, a firm and tested stone. It is a precious cornerstone that is safe to build on. Whoever believes need never be shaken. — Isaiah 28:16 (NLT)

Therefore, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: “Look! I am placing a foundation stone in Jerusalem, a firm and tested stone. It is a precious cornerstone that is safe to build on. Whoever believes need never be shaken.  — Isaiah 28:16 (NLT)

Our mighty God is an everlasting foundation. In Him, you are immovable and can stand firm. You will not be fazed by the momentary troubles, and light affliction.  The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. (Psalm 18;2) He is a sure foundation. (Isaiah 28:16) O LORD, my strength and my fortress, My refuge in the day of affliction … (Jeremiah 16:19)

It takes wisdom to build a house, and understanding to set it on a firm foundation; — Proverbs 24:3 (MSG) Exercise wisdom by seeking the face of God and keeping your ear open to hear His voice. For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding; (Proverbs 2:6 NKJV). By understanding and following the living Word of God, your life will be set on a firm foundation that will not be moved by heavy winds or floodwaters.  When the whirlwind passes by, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation.  (Proverbs 10:25 NKJV) …knowledge, and wisdom for your soul— Get that and your future’s secured, your hope is on solid rock. (Proverbs 24:14 MSG) …and in all your getting, get understanding. (Proverbs 4:7 NKJV).

When the storm has passed, the wicked person has vanished, but the righteous person has an everlasting foundation. Proverbs 10:25 (GW) Build your life on the sure foundation. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 3:11). Then, you will be able to withstand the storms of life. The fire and floods may come but you will stand firm. When you stand on the everlasting foundation, nothing will move you.
