Faithful to Forgive

Image
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.  — 1 John 1:9-10 (NKJV) Yahweh is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, and He has not rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. (Psalms 103:8, 10-12 LSB) Therefore repent and return to Yahweh, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord; (See Acts 3:19)

In The Shadow of His Wings

Image
Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious and merciful to me, for my soul finds shelter and safety in You, and in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge and be confidently secure until destruction passes by. — Psalms 57:1 (AMP) “O God, how extravagant is your cherishing love! All mankind can find a hiding place under the shadow of your wings.” (Psalms 36:7 TPT) Because you are my helper, I sing for joy in the shadow of your wings. I cling to you; your strong right hand holds me securely. (Psalms 63:7-8 NLT) Guard me as you would guard your own eyes. Hide me in the shadow of your wings. (Psalms 17:8 NLT) Let me live forever in your sanctuary, safe beneath the shelter of your wings! Interlude (Psalms 61:4 NLT)

He is Merciful

Image
“The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.” — Psalms 103:8 (NKJV) All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth, to such as keep His covenant and His testimonies. (Psalms 25:10 NKJV) He forgives all our iniquities, heals all our diseases, redeems our lives from destruction, and crowns us with lovingkindness and tender mercies. (See Psalms 103:3-4) May we draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (See Hebrews 4:16 NASB1995) Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; Yes, our God is merciful. The LORD preserves the simple; I was brought low, and He saved me. (Psalms 116:5-6 NKJV) Let us be merciful, just as our Heavenly Father is merciful. (See Luke 6:36)

He is Good to All

The LORD is good to all, and His mercies are over all His works. — Psalms 145:8-9 (NASB1995) Yahweh generously gives us what is good, His grace and glory. No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. (See Psalms 84:11 NASB1995) He is everything we need. He is El Shaddai, the all-sufficient, all-bountiful, Almighty God. He is the very source of ALL our blessings. He is Elohim, the all-powerful Creator of the universe and all it contains. He formed our innermost parts and knit us together in the womb of our mother. (See Psalms 139:13) He is Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. He foresees all of our needs. Matthew 6:8 says, our Father knows what we need before we ask Him. “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (Matthew 7:11 NKJV)  Yahweh is Jehovah Shalom, our peace. He will...

Return to Him

Image
Lord Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, says: “Come back to me! By returning and resting in me you will be saved. In quietness and trust you will be made strong. But you refused.” — Isaiah 30:15 (TPT) The LORD is a faithful God. He longs to be gracious to you, and therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; How blessed are all those who long for Him. (See Isaiah 30:18 NASB1995) Yahweh desires for us to come to Him so He can show us His love and compassion. Isaiah 30:19 (NLT) says: “He will be gracious if you ask for help. He will surely respond to the sound of your cries.” Even though the Lord may allow you to go through a season of hardship and difficulty, he himself will be there with you. He will not hide himself from you, for your eyes will constantly see him as your Teacher. When you turn to the right or turn to the left, you will hear his voice behind you to guide you, saying, “This is the right path; follow it.” (Isaiah 30:20-21 TPT)

Be Cleansed

Image
Be gracious to me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; According to the abundance of Your compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. — Psalms 51:1-2 (LSB) Psalms 51:10 (TPT) says: “Keep creating in me a clean heart. Fill me with pure thoughts and holy desires, ready to please you.” Our sanctification is a continual process. Let us confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. (See 1 John 1:9-10 NKJV) May we renew our minds with the Holy Scriptures and stand ready to please Him, above all others, including ourselves. …“The [appointed period of] time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, regret past sins, live your life in a way that proves repentance; seek God’s purpose for your life] and believe [with a deep, ab...

Yahweh Bless You

Image
Then Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, ‘Thus you shall bless the sons of Israel. And our greatest blessing is His Presence with us. Blessed [happy and sheltered by God’s favor] is everyone who fears the LORD [and worships Him with obedience], who walks in His ways and lives according to His commandments. (Psalms 128:1 AMP) May Yahweh give you increase, ...

Watch Your Words

Image
Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone. — Colossians 4:6 (NLT) Let us speak good and encouraging words to others and in our self-talk. For the Scriptures say, “If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies.” (1 Peter 3:10 NLT) Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, but a good word makes it glad. (Proverbs 12:25 NASB1995) Proverbs 12:14a, says: A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his words. And Proverbs 12:18b says, the tongue of the wise brings healing. To speak good, true, and encouraging words, speak the Word of God, for He has magnified His word above all His name. (See Psalms 138:2 NKJV) And the word of the LORD endures forever. (See 1 Peter 1:25) Amen. Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit—you choose. — Proverbs 18:21 (MSG)

May the LORD show you his favor and give you his peace.’ — Numbers 6:24-27 (NLT) The LORD will give strength to His people; The LORD will bless His people with peace. (Psalm 29:11 NASB1995) Sing praise to the LORD, you His godly ones, and give thanks to His holy name. For You have been a shelter for me, a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Selah — Psalm 61:4-5 (NKJV)

Call on His Name

Image
The LORD descended in the cloud and stood there with him as he called upon the name of the LORD. Then the LORD passed by in front of him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth; who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; — Exodus 34:5-7a (NASB1995) Call on the name of the LORD, the Everlasting God. His ear is always open to hear the cry of His people. (See Psalm 18:6 & 34:17) Moses and Aaron were among His priests, and Samuel was among those who called on His name; They called upon the LORD and He answered them. (Psalm 99:6 NASB1995) His name alone is exalted. You must not misuse the name of the LORD your God… (See Exodus 20:7) Oh give thanks to the LORD, call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples. Glory in His holy name; Let the heart of those who seek the LORD be glad. (Psalm 105:1, 3 NASB1995) And in that day you will say, “Give thanks...

For those who are broken down, God is near. He raises them up in hope. All eyes have turned toward Him, waiting in expectation; when they are hungry, He feeds them right on time. The desires of every living thing are met by His open hand. The Eternal is right in all His ways, and He is kind in all His acts. (See Psalm 145:14-17 VOICE) The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. (Psalm 145:18 NASB1995) The Eternal is gracious. He shows mercy to His people. For Him anger does not come easily, but faithful love does—and it is rich and abundant. — Psalm 145:8 (VOICE)

Be Gracious & Compassionate

Image
He prayed to the LORD and said, “Please LORD, was not this what I said while I was still in my own country? Therefore in order to forestall this I fled to Tarshish, for I knew that You are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, and one who relents concerning calamity. — Jonah 4:2 (NASB1995) The LORD instructed Jonah to go and preach to Nineveh, instead, he went in the opposite direction to get away from the LORD. (See Jonah 1:3 NLT) What a futile pursuit to try to escape His Presence. The ship he boarded encountered a storm, and Jonah had the men throw him into the sea. The LORD had a great fish swallow Jonah. (See Jonah 1:4,12,17) Jonah prayed to the LORD his God from inside the fish. Then the LORD commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah up onto the dry land. (See Jonah 2:1,10) This series of events, came about because of Jonah’s disobedience, and hard heart toward his enemies. In Jonah 3:1-2 (NLT), the LORD spoke to Jonah a second time: “Get...

May we desire His Presence more than anything this world has to offer. Long for His will and His good plans. See what great love the Father has lavished on us! He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding. (Ephesians 1:7-8 NLT) For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, Who works and acts in behalf of the one who gladly waits for Him. (Isaiah 64:4 NLT/AMP) The LORD’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is His faithfulness. “ The LORD is my portion ,” says my soul, “ Therefore I have hop...

Acknowledge Him

Image
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. — Proverbs 3:6 (NASB) May we acknowledge God in all we do and say. In the use of our time, talents, gifts, finances, etc., let us recognize and appreciate the Source. By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. (2 Peter 1:3 NLT) God is a very gracious Giver. Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down to us from God our Father. (See James 1:17)  As we continually seek God's will in all we do, He will show us which path to take. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. — Proverbs 3:6 (MSG)

(Psalm 103:10-12 NLT) Let us be like our heavenly Father, and give grace to others.
