Walk Carefully

Image
Therefore see that you walk carefully [living life with honor, purpose, and courage; shunning those who tolerate and enable evil], not as the unwise, but as wise [sensible, intelligent, discerning people], making the very most of your time [on earth, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence], because the days are [filled with] evil. — Ephesians 5:15-16 (AMP) Listen to the Word of God and align your life to it. The Bible is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. He who gives attention to the word will find good, and blessed is he who trusts in the LORD. (Proverbs 16:20 NASB) Truth’s shining light guides me in my choices and decisions; the revelation of your word makes my pathway clear. (Psalm 119:105 TPT)

Keep Pressing On!

Image
Look, the winter is past, and the rains are over and gone. The flowers are springing up, the season of singing birds has come, and the cooing of turtledoves fills the air. — Song of Solomon 2:11-12 (NLT) We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. (2 Corinthians 4:8-9 NLT) No matter what you may be going through, remember: this too shall pass. Keep pressing on with the Lord! He is faithful to fulfill all His wonderful promises. There is a season (a time appointed) for everything and a time for every delight and event or purpose under heave n— Ecclesiastes 3:1 (AMP)

Wait for His Help

Image
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever— John 14:16 (AMP) Our heavenly Father chooses to dwell with us. How awesome is that! With the Spirit of the LORD dwelling in us, we have an infinite source of strength and wisdom. The Holy Spirit leads us into all truth. Zechariah 4:6  says, ’Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts. His Spirit working in us empowers us and enables us to do all that He has called us to do. Let us wait for His help and His guidance. So the LORD must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion. For the LORD is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for his help. (Isaiah 30:18 NLT)

Return & Rest

Image
God, the Master, The Holy of Israel, has this solemn counsel:  “Your salvation requires you to turn back to me and stop your silly efforts to save yourselves. Your strength will come from settling down in complete dependence on me— The very thing you’ve been unwilling to do.” — Isaiah 30:15 (MSG) “Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength…” (Isaiah 30:15 NLT). May we return to the LORD with our whole hearts and rest in His loving arms. Rest in His goodness and grace. Rest in His will and in His ways. Rest in His compassion and kindness. When we quietly and confidently trust in the LORD we find strength to overcome every challenge. Those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; (Isaiah 40:31a)

Thankful

Image
Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live. — 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (MSG) Prayer (talking to God) is much more powerful and produces better results than worrying (talking to self). It is definitely more beneficial than complaining or gossiping (talking to others). No matter how complicated or difficult the situation there is always something to be thankful for. Thank God that He can restore the years that the locust has eaten. Praise the LORD that He is able to give you double for all your trouble. Amen and Hallelujah! ‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ Isaiah 41:10 (NASB)

“I Will Help You”

Image
For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. — Isaiah 41:13 (NIV) Are you giving more attention to your circumstances than your mighty God? Look up, to the source of your help. I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth (Psalm 121:1-2 NIV). The righteous person faces many troubles, but the LORD comes to the rescue each time (Psalm 34:19 NLT).

Let’s Go!

Image
I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD.” — Psalm 122:1 (NLT) So let’s do it—full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out. Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching (Hebrews 10:22-25 MSG). Come and worship the King of kings and the Lord of glory!

Know This!

My enemies will retreat when I call to you for help. This I know: God is on my side!  — Psalm 56:9 (NLT) If you don't know anything else, know this: our mighty God is on your side. He is for you, not against. He wants you to trade your bitterness and sorrow for joy, and your desperation, for His peace. He will turn your mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them (Romans 8:28, NLT). Great is God's goodness and it abounds toward you!

Joy Comes in the Morning!

Sing praise to the LORD, you saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.  — Psalm 30:4-5 (NKJV) Even though we go through times of darkness, we can rejoice because morning always comes. God's mercies never cease. They begin afresh each morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). His favor lasts a lifetime! When is anxiety is great within us, the consolation of the LORD brings us joy (Psalm 94:19). His very Presence makes our joy complete (Psalm :16:11). Sing praise to the LORD all you saints!

Great is our God!

Praise the LORD, my soul! O LORD my God, you are very great. You are clothed with splendor and majesty. You cover yourself with light as though it were a robe. You stretch out the heavens as though they were curtains. You lay the beams of your home in the water. You use the clouds for your chariot. You move on the wings of the wind. Psalm 104:1-3 (GW) Bless the LORD, O my soul! Let all that I am praise the LORD. Great is our God. He is clothed in glory, honor and majesty. Covered in a brilliant light, He is absolutely radiant. Every good gift and every perfect gift comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning (James 1:17). Many are His works. Give God all the praise and honor. Worship the LORD with all your heart.

Live Wisely

So be very careful how you live. Do not live like those who are not wise, but live wisely. Use every chance you have for doing good, because these are evil times. So do not be foolish but learn what the Lord wants you to do. Ephesians 5:15-17 (NCV ) Live wisely by choosing to do good whenever you have a chance. Exercise love, forgiveness, grace, mercy and compassion with every opportunity.

From the Hand of God

A man can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in his work. This too, I see, is from the hand of God, for without him, who can eat or find enjoyment? Ecclesiastes 2:24-25 (NIV) Let us thank God for all His hand provides for us. His hand gives us shelter and puts food on our tables. He gives us strength to perform the work of our hands. May our hearts be content and our souls satisfied in the presence of Almighty God.  Love, Jackie
