Hold onto Hope

Image
...constantly rejoicing in hope [because of our confidence in Christ], steadfast and patient in distress, devoted to prayer [continually seeking wisdom, guidance, and strength], — Romans 12:12 (AMP) So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. (Hebrews 6:18-19 NLT) Continually rejoice in the hope we have in Jesus. We who have run for our very lives to God have every reason to grab the promised hope with both hands and never let go. It’s an unbreakable spiritual lifeline, reaching past all appearances right to the very presence of God … — Hebrews 6:18a (MSG)

by His Spirit

Image
Then he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel saying, ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts. — Zechariah 4:6 (NASB) As it was in the days of Zerubbabel , so it is today. His Spirit is still at work in and through His people. We fulfill the purpose and plan God has for us, by His Spirit. It is not in our own power or might. As we rely on and draw our strength from the Spirit of God who dwells within us, the mountains before us will become molehills, and the stormy waves will become calm. God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us. (Ephesians 3:20 MSG) Be filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18), and be led by His Spirit, in all that you do. “ Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the LORD your God is the one who goes with you. He will not...

Well & Whole

Image
“I’m leaving you well and whole. That’s my parting gift to you. Peace. I don’t leave you the way you’re used to being left—feeling abandoned, bereft. So don’t be upset. Don’t be distraught.” — John 14:27 (MSG) As we live our lives in relationship with Jesus, He makes us well & whole. He gives sight to the blind and makes the lame walk again. The woman that had the issue of blood for 12 years, spent all she had on physicians and could not be healed by any. But one contact with Jesus and she was healed immediately. (Luke 8:43,47) No matter how many years, you have been dealing with your issue, Jesus can make you well and whole too. Abide in the peace Jesus gives. He will never abandon you. “I call to God; GOD will help me. At dusk, dawn, and noon I sigh deep sighs—he hears, he rescues. My life is well and whole, secure in the middle of danger Even while thousands are lined up against me. God hears it all, and from his judge’s bench puts them in their place…”  (Psalm 55:16-1...

Wonders without Number

Image
He does great things past finding out, yes, wonders without number. — Job 9:10 (NKJV) God is wise in heart and mighty in strength. Who has hardened himself against Him and prospered? (Job 9:4 NKJV) He alone spreads out the heavens, and treads on the waves of the sea; (Job 9:8 NKJV) Many, O LORD my God, are the wonderful works which You have done, and Your thoughts toward us; there is none to compare with You. If I would declare and speak of your wonders, they would be too many to count. (Psalm 40:5 AMP) You are the God of great wonders! You demonstrate your awesome power among the nations. (Psalm 77:14 NLT) The Message Bible says, He’s the God who makes things happen; (Psalm 77:14) If you need a miracle today, look to our great God. Nothing is too difficult for Him!

Sharp & Powerful

Image
God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey. — Hebrews 4:12 (MSG) God’s Word is sharp enough to cut through any doubt, defensive attitudes or walls of offense. We are to lay on His altar and present ourselves to Him as living sacrifices. As a skilled surgeon, our heavenly Father uses His Word to cut away anything that is not of Him. As we expose ourselves to the Word, it will cleanse us and wash away the flaws and imperfections. In all your ways submit to Him and let His Word have utmost authority in your life. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9 NKJV)

Fight the Good Fight

Image
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. — Genesis 50:20 (NIV) Our adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). However, no weapon formed against us shall prosper. What the enemy intends for our harm, God will cause all things to work together for good (Romans 8:28). So fight the good fight of faith (1 Timothy 6:12) and God will use your testimony to touch the lives of others.

He Goes With You

Image
“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” — Deuteronomy 31:6 (NKJV) Whatever we go through today, all we really need to remember is that God is with us and He has already gone before us and made a way. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). Praise the LORD!

Strength in Time of Trouble

But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength in the time of trouble.  And the LORD shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him.  — Psalm 37:39-40 (NKJV) Lift up your eyes to the mountains— where does your help come from? Your help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth (Psalm 121:1-2). With the LORD on your side, you will raise up the banner of victory! The righteous person has many troubles, but the LORD delivers him out of them all (Psalm 34:19). Hallelujah!

Draw Near

For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. — Hebrews 4:15-16 (NASB) Jesus can sympathize with our weaknesses. He has been tempted in every way, just as we are, yet He did not sin. He overcame all obstacles and gained the victory! So let us draw near to the throne of God's grace to receive His mercy (unmerited favor), and find grace to help us when we need it most.

God Loves Me!

And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16 (NKJ) God's love is like living water that floods my soul. At times, God's love flows like a calm stream and fills every crevice of my heart with His peace. At other times, God's love rushes in with power and strength and breaks up the fallow ground. In the light, God's love is transparent, clear for all to see. God's love is ever-flowing and true. Give God some praise because He loves you too!

Seek Him

The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble. And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You. Psalm 9:9-10 (NKJ) Seek the LORD. In times of trouble, He is your refuge. Put your trust in Him. People may come and go, but the LORD does not abandon those who seek Him.

You Will Have Success

Then you will have success if you are careful to observe the decrees and laws that the LORD gave Moses for Israel. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged. 1 Chronicles 22:13 (NIV) King David spoke these words of wisdom to his son Solomon. True success hinges on obeying the LORD. God knows all and He will show you the way if you keep your eyes on Him. Be strong and courageous as you complete the tasks assigned to you by God. No weapon formed against you shall prosper for your righteousness is of the LORD (Isaiah 54:17). Love, Jackie
