For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved … — Joel 2:32a (NKJV) Call on the name of the LORD and be saved, for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ (Acts 17:28) When you call, He will hear you. He is not far from each one of us; (Acts 17:27). “ And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. ” (Joel 2:28) God pours out His Spirit on all who believe in Christ and accepts Him as their Savior. He fills us and empowers us to fulfill the dreams and visions He has placed in our hearts. Call on His name today.

Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” — John 8:12 (NASB) You’re sons of Light, daughters of Day. We live under wide open skies and know where we stand. So let’s not sleepwalk through life like those others. Let’s keep our eyes open and be smart. People sleep at night and get drunk at night. But not us! Since we’re creatures of Day, let’s act like it. Walk out into the daylight sober, dressed up in faith, love, and the hope of salvation. (1 Thessalonians 5:5-8 MSG) If we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. (1 John 1:7) Come. Let us walk, live and play in the light of the LORD!

“I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the LORD Almighty.” — 2 Corinthians 6:18 (NKJV) No matter what kind of relationship you have or had with your biological father, don’t let the nature of that relationship distort your view of our heavenly Father. He is a good Father and He loves every single one of His children. He is a compassionate and kind Father, rich in grace and mercy. He is a faithful Father, who is always there when you need Him. He is a wise Father. His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts much higher than our thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9) He shows us the path of life. (Psalm 16:11). God is Jehovah Jireh, our provider. No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. (Psalm 84:11) Chase after Him as the first love of your life. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. —Isaiah 9:6b (NKJV)

For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. — Galatians 3:26 (NLT) To all who receive Christ, to those who believe in his name, He gave the right to become children of God. (John 1:12). We are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of God’s family. (Ephesians 2:19). Being a child of God is not about religion, rules or rituals. It's all about relationship, a healthy, thriving relationship with our Maker. The Message Bible says, by faith in Christ you are in direct relationship with God. (Galatians 3:26 MSG). We are sons and daughters of the Most High God, and He is our Heavenly Father. Being a child of God is our highest calling, and the richest, most privileged relationship we can engage in. Our relationship is based on the unconditional love Abba, Father, has for us. But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. — Galatians 4:4-5 (NKJV) Just as God had a set time for Jesus to be born to Mary and Joseph, He has a set time for you to walk in the fullness of what He has prepared for you, as His child. He is a faithful promise keeper. He fulfills every promise. In Isaiah 55:11 (NLT), He says, “It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.” The good plans the LORD has purposed for you will come to pass, in due time. Until then, keep fighting the good fight of faith, fixing your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. (Hebrews 12:2a)

I look behind me and you’re there, then up ahead and you’re there, too— your reassuring presence, coming and going. This is too much, too wonderful— I can’t take it all in! — Psalm 139:5-6 (MSG) Psalm 139:7 (NKJV) asks: “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?” Even the darkness is not dark to Him and conceals nothing from Him. May we never try to hide from God. He knows everything about us and He still loves us and wants the best for us. As a loving Father, He enjoys being close to His sons and daughters. His Presence is with us to reassure us that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. (Philippians 4:13 NKJV). His Presence goes with us to help, to lead, to guide, and to protect. His Spirit comforts and refreshes our souls. Enjoy His Presence today.

But friends, you’re not in the dark, so how could you be taken off guard by any of this? You’re sons of Light, daughters of Day. We live under wide open skies and know where we stand. Be awake, and alert to the schemes of the enemy. Take your stand on the strong foundation and walk in love and faith. When we submit to God and His Word, we are able to resist the devil and he will flee.

“I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the LORD Almighty.” — 2 Corinthians 6:18 (NKJV) God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure (Ephesians 1:5 NLT). God takes great delight in His children. He is a good Father and as any good father, He takes care of His children. He wants nothing but the best for us. If you then, evil (sinful by nature) as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven [perfect as He is] give what is good and advantageous to those who keep on asking Him  (Matthew 7:11 AMP). Our heavenly Father is loving and faithful. Cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7).

I am filled with comfort. I am exceedingly joyful in all our tribulation. — 2 Corinthians 7:4b (NKJV) The Apostle Paul was beaten with rods three times, stoned, shipwrecked, in perils (serious and immediate danger) of waters, in perils of robbers, his own countrymen, and the Gentiles, in perils in the city, the wilderness, and the sea, in perils among false brethren; in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness (2 Corinthians 11:24-27). Yet, in all these things, the Apostle Paul says he was exceedingly joyful. This shows, that our joy is not a matter of having the right circumstances in our lives. Our joy comes from knowing Who our God is and that He is able. Nothing is too difficult for Him. Our joy comes from knowing who we are. We are sons and daughters of the Most High God. He chose us and accepted us into His family. We can hold onto our joy, knowing that no matter what trials come, they will also pass, and God ...

And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” — 2 Corinthians 6:16 (NKJV) Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16) As we continually hold in the forefront of our minds that God dwells in us and our bodies are His temple, I think we will be less likely to abuse our bodies with unhealthy or unholy habits. Therefore “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.” “I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the LORD Almighty.” (2 Corinthians 6:17-18) As offspring of Almighty God, our speech and behavior should resemble His and not the world. The LORD then said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation. And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood. — Genesis 7:1,7 (NIV) Because of Noah's faithfulness to the LORD, God provided a place of protection for him and his family while the floodwaters destroyed every living creature on the earth. Let us be found righteous in this generation. Second Chronicles 16:9 says, the eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.
