We count those blessed who endured. You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord’s dealings, that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful. — James 5:11 (NASB) The LORD blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning… (Job 42:12a NASB) Whatever you may be going through right now, know that your future in God is brighter and brighter. For the joy that was set before Him, Jesus endured the cross... (Hebrews 12:2). For I consider [from the standpoint of faith] that the sufferings of the present life are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us! (Romans 8:18 AMP) Amen!

Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind… — Job 38:1 (NKJV) Do not fear the storms of life. The storm won't outlast our mighty God. And Nahum 1:3 says, the LORD has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm. His ways our higher than ours. Let what needs to be blown out of your life be carried away. When the whirlwind passes by, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation. (Proverbs 10:25 NKJV) Stand firm on our strong foundation and watch for God to answer you out of the whirlwind. Out of the raging storm, the Eternal One answered Job. — Job 38:1 (VOICE)

  As an example, brethren, of suffering and patience, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. We count those blessed who endured. ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts. — Zechariah 4:6 (NKJV) It’s by His Spirit that our battles are won. By His Spirit we overcome obstacles and triumph through trials and tribulation. We can experience joy on the job with the Holy Spirit as our constant companion. With the comfort of the Holy Spirit we can have peace in the midst of problems. He will strengthen you in times of sorrow and sadness. Instead of resisting the Holy Spirit, receive Him, with an open and humble heart. ‘ And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams. ’ (Acts 2:17 NKJV)

‘Look! He has placed the land in front of you. Go and occupy it as the LORD, the God of your ancestors, has promised you. Don’t be afraid! Don’t be discouraged!’ — Deuteronomy 1:21 (NLT) Wherever God sends you out today, whether it be the marketplace, your job, business, home or school, it is the land He has placed in front of you. Let us go and occupy it. We are to invade the land with His light, His love, His joy and His peace. Let us infiltrate the earth with His mercy and grace, kindness and compassion. As good soldiers of Jesus the Christ, let us continually advance and occupy the land He has given to us. Be strong and very courageous, for the LORD is with you, and He will give you the land.

The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, than the mighty waves of the sea. — Psalm 93:4 (NKJV)  The enemy may be making lots of noise regarding your spouse, your children, your finances or your job/business, but remember that the LORD our God is mightier than the noise of the enemy. Drown out the noise of the enemy with praises to Almighty God. Lift up your voice and call upon our awesome God. The minute I said, “I’m slipping, I’m falling,” your love, God, took hold and held me fast (Psalm 94:18 MSG). Unless the LORD had helped me, I would soon have settled in the silence of the grave (Psalm 94:17 NLT).

Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped. — Job 1:20 (NKJV) After being told that all his livestock were gone, his servants killed, and his ten children were dead Job fell to the ground and worshiped God. Job 1:22 says, in all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong. After being struck with painful boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head (Job 2:7), Job’s wife told him to curse God and die. But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips. (Job 2:10) When faced with trials and adversity may we continue to draw near to God and worship Him. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. (Psalm 95:6) Never let the schemes of the enemy draw you away from our heavenly Father. He is our strength and refuge in time of trouble. May we worship Almighty G...

Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind… —J ob 38:1 (NKJV) When disaster comes in like a whirlwind, and calamity overtakes you like a storm, know that God is in the whirlwind with you. Let His Presence be your perfect peace, the calm in the eye of the storm. The whirlwind will scatter those things that need to be removed out of your life, and God will carry you through it all. I've heard a song on the radio that says, when your life seems to be falling apart, it is actually coming together. Amen to that!

Thank you! Everything in me says “Thank you!” Angels listen as I sing my thanks. I kneel in worship facing your holy temple and say it again: “Thank you!” Thank you for your love, thank you for your faithfulness; Most holy is your name, most holy is your Word. The moment I called out, you stepped in; you made my life large with strength. — Psalm 138:1-3 (MSG) Let us thank and praise the LORD with all of our hearts, minds and strength. No matter what you are going through today, troubled relationships, strife on the job, health issues, our God is greater and He is faithful. He is exalted above all. Thank God that He causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them (Romans 8:28 NLT).

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. — James 1:2-4 (NIV) We count those blessed who endured. You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord’s dealings, that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful (James 5:11, NAS). Job suffered for a little while, then, God richly blessed him in the end, and gave him double for his trouble. Let perseverance do a thorough work in you, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Friends, when life gets really difficult, don’t jump to the conclusion that God isn’t on the job. Instead, be glad that you are in the very thick of what Christ experienced. This is a spiritual refining process, with glory just around the corner. — 1 Peter 4:12-13 (The Message) Do not let your faith draw back when you encounter various trials. James 1:2-3 tells us to consider it pure joy whenever we face trials of many kinds, because the testing of our faith produces perseverance.  Patiently endure until your testing is over. Then you will be mature and complete, not lacking anything (James 1:4)!

The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride. — Ecclesiastes 7:8 (NIV) It is not how you start, but how you finish that really counts. Where you’re going is much better than where you have been and what you have gone through. Be patient and persevere through the trials. What a gift life is to those who stay the course! You’ve heard, of course, of Job’s staying power, and you know how God brought it all together for him at the end. That’s because God cares, cares right down to the last detail (James 5:11, The Message).

And the LORD restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the  LORD  gave Job twice as much as he had before. — Job 42:10 (NKJV) Job lost everything and greatly suffered with painful boils, all over his body. But Job persevered through the adversity and prayed for his friends, who had made many accusations against him. Then, God restored him. The LORD blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part (Job 42:12). After his troubles, Job lived one hundred and forty years, and saw his children and grandchildren for four generations (Job 42:16). In the midst of whatever circumstances come our way, may we remember to take our eyes off of ourselves and pray for our friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, etc.

Oh, that you would be silent, and it would be your wisdom!  — Job 13:5 (NKJV) Ecclesiastes 3:7 reminds us that there is a time to be silent and a time to speak. Sometimes silence is golden. When Job's friends learned of his troubles, they sat down with him on the ground seven days and seven nights, and no one spoke a word to him, for they saw that his grief was very great (Job 2:13). Wisdom is not only speaking the right word, but also speaking at the right time. A word spoken in due season, how good it is! (Proverbs 15:23)
