Be Transformed

The LORD has given me a strong warning not to think like everyone else does. He said, “Don’t call everything a conspiracy, like they do, and don’t live in dread of what frightens them. Make the LORD of Heaven’s Armies holy in your life. He is the one you should fear. He is the one who should make you tremble.” — Isaiah 8:11-13 (NLT) And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]. (Romans 12:2 AMP) Let us renew our minds with the Word of God, so we can be transformed instead of conforming to the ways of the world.

Instead, let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes. (See Romans 12:2 NLT & TPT) As followers of Christ and children of light let us become imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father]; (See Ephesians 5:1 AMP)

Once armed with truth… “We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One.” (2 Corinthians 10:5 TPT) We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy f...

Don't Conform

And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]. — Romans 12:2 (AMP) Instead of conforming to this world, present your bodies to God as a living sacrifice, holy, and acceptable to Him. (See Romans 12:1) Renew your mind with the Holy Scriptures, and your thoughts will come into alignment with His Word and His ways. Instead of following the world, be led by the Spirit of God.

Instead of copying the ways of this world, draw near to Yahweh and become more and more like Him. Let His Word renew your mind and change the way you think. …anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! (See 2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT)

Vessels of His Light

Image
Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. — Romans 12:1-2 (NASB) Let us not conform to the ways of the world around us, just going along with the flow, being carried by the currents of popular culture. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people ... (1 Peter 2:9a KJV). We are to be in this world, but not of this world. Let us allow the Spirit of God to transform us from the inside out, first our hearts, and thought life, then our actions will follow. Be a vessel of light through which His love can be poured out. May we walk in love and show kindness, and compassion to everyone He brings our way, whether or not, they look like us, talk ...

Great Good

Image
“ Now yield and submit yourself to Him [agree with God and be conformed to His will] and be at peace; In this way [you will prosper and great] good will come to you. ”  — Job 22:21 (AMP) The Lord of peace, continually pours out His peace. Let us be open and uncluttered vessels to receive His peace, at all times and in every situation. Great good comes when we conform to God’s will and His ways. Our minds and hearts abide in His everlasting peace and we prosper in every area of life. May you experience God’s peace, which transcends all understanding. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Renew Your Mind

Image
And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind… — Romans 12:2a (AMP) First Timothy 6:12 encourages followers of Christ to fight the good fight of faith. Realize that we are in a war, but always remember that Jesus has already given us the victory. So let us actively use the weapons we have been given. Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; (Ephesians 6:17). The helmet protects our heads from the lies of the enemy and the Word is full of power and very effective. In order to fight the good fight of faith, we must continually renew our minds with the Word of God AND speak it out of our mouths. As we do, it exposes the darkness around us, to His marvelous light. The sword of the Spirit, destroys bondages and strongholds of the enemy. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than...

From the Inside Out

Image
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. — Romans 12:2 (NKJV) We often focus on changing our behavior, but real transformation starts on the inside. What we allow our minds to dwell on and what we let seep into our hearts determines our behavior. It's when we renew our mind by meditating on the Word of God and spend time with our heavenly Father, allowing His love to penetrate our hearts, that our thoughts, attitudes and behavior will change. Throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy. (Ephesians 4:22-24 NLT)

Be Transformed!

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.  — Romans 12:2 (NKJV) Now that we have been informed about who God is and what His Word says, it is time to be transformed into children of light. Let us be doers of the Word, not only hearers. Then we will be able to determine the good, acceptable and perfect will of God.
