Blessed

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. — Psalms 32:1 (NKJV) Not a single person on earth is always good and never sins. (Ecclesiastes 7:20 NLT) “But I did find this: God created people to be virtuous, but they have each turned to follow their own downward path.” (Ecclesiastes 7:29) “God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him. (Acts 17:30 NLT) Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away. (Acts 3:19 NLT)  We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. (Romans 3:22-24 NLT)

Hope & Confidence

Image
This is what the LORD says: “Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the LORD.” — Jeremiah 17:5 (NLT) “But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:7-8 NLT) Set your affections on Yahweh. And keep your hope and your confidence in Him. ...our hope is in the living God, who is the Savior of all people and particularly of all believers. (See 1 Timothy 4:10) I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. (Ephesians 3:16:17 NLT)

Taste & See

Image
“O taste and see that Yahweh is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!” — Psalms 34:8 (LSB) Fear the LORD, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need. Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the LORD will lack no good thing. (Psalms 34:9-10 NLT) The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear Him, and rescues them. ...He will command His angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. (Psalms 34:7, 91:11 LSB) “I will bless Yahweh at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul will make its boast in Yahweh; The humble will hear it and rejoice. O magnify Yahweh with me, and let us exalt His name together.” (Psalms 34:1-3 LSB)  For Yahweh is good; His lovingkindness endures forever and His faithfulness, generation unto generation. (Psalms 100:5 LSB)

Blessed & Favored

Image
For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD bestows grace and favor and honor;
No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts,
how blessed and greatly favored is the man who trusts in You [believing in You, relying on You, and committing himself to You with confident hope and expectation]. — Psalms 84:11-12 (AMP) Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing. (Psalms 34:9-10 NKJV) How blessed is the man who has made Yahweh his trust, and has not turned to the proud, nor to those who stray into falsehood. (Psalms 40:4 LSB)  And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, for You, O Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek You. (Psalms 9:10 LSB) For it is You who blesses the righteous man, O LORD, You surround him with favor as with a shield. (Psalms 5:12 NASB1995) And Your favor lasts a lifetime! (See Psalms 30:...

Fear the LORD

Image
Praise the LORD! How joyful are those who fear the LORD and delight in obeying his commands. Their children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of godly people will be blessed. They themselves will be wealthy, and their good deeds will last forever. Light shines in the darkness for the godly. They are generous, compassionate, and righteous. — Psalms 112:1-4 (NLT) Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. (Proverbs 3:7 NKJV) Such people will not be overcome by evil. Those who are righteous will be long remembered. They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the LORD to care for them. They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly. They share freely and give generously to those in need. Their good deeds will be remembered forever. They will have influence and honor. (Psalms 112:6-9 NLT) Who is among you that fears Yahweh, that listens to the voice of His Servant, that walks in darkness and has no light? Let him t...

He is Good

“For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD bestows grace and favor and honor; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.” — Psalms 84:11 (AMP) Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. (Psalms 34:8-9 NKJV) Yahweh is good and generous. His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness. (See 2 Peter 1:3) No matter what set of circumstances are before you today, believe that you will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. (See Psalms 27:13) Give thanks to Yahweh, for He is good; For His lovingkindness endures forever. (Psalms 118:29 LSB) His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations. (See Psalms 100:5 NKJV)  “For the Lord God is brighter than the brilliance of a sunrise! Wrapping himself around me like a shield, he is so generous with his gifts of grace and glory. Those who walk along...

Where is Your Confidence?

Image
Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there. When they breathe their last, they return to the earth, and all their plans die with them. — Psalms 146:3-4 (NLT) “But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit. (Jeremiah 17: 7-8 NLT) It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in people. (Psalms 118:8 NLT) May we place no confidence in the flesh, nor in what we have, nor who we are (the titles we wear). But let us be confident in Yahweh, for His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. He rules throughout all generations. The LORD always keeps his promises; He is gracious in all he does. (See Psalms 145:13 NLT) The LORD is righteous in all His ways and kind in all His deeds. The L...

Day and Night

Image
How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers. — Psalms 1:1-3 (NASB1995) To be firmly planted and able to bear fruit, we need to meditate in the Holy Scriptures day and night.  Joshua 1:8  (NKJV) says: “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

Trust Confidently

Image
But as for me, I trust [confidently] in You and Your greatness, O LORD; I said, “You are my God.” My times are in Your hands; Rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from those who pursue and persecute me. — Psalms 31:14 (AMP) May we confidently trust in our heavenly Father, at all times, without wavering. For Yahweh is a great God and a great King above all gods, in whose hand are the depths of the earth, the peaks of the mountains are His also. The sea is His, for it was He who made it, and His hands formed the dry land. (Psalms 95:3-5 LSB) Nothing is too difficult for Him. …great is the LORD and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods. (Psalms 96:4 NASB1995) He is great and does wondrous works! He alone is God (see Psalms 86:10 AMP), the only true and living God.  O LORD of hosts, how blessed and greatly favored is the man who trusts in You [believing in You, relying on You, and committing himself to You with confident hope and expectation]. — Psalms 84:12 (...

Favored by God

Image
Praise the LORD! (Hallelujah!) Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who fears the LORD [with awe-inspired reverence and worships Him with obedience], who delights greatly in His commandments. — Psalms 112:1 (AMP) They themselves will be wealthy, and their good deeds will last forever (Psalms 112:3 NLT). But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also. (Matthew 6:33 AMP) for the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking [what one likes], but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (Romans 14:17 AMP) You know the generous grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that by his poverty he could make you rich. (2 Corinthians 8:9 NLT) Matthew 27:51 says: …the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. This is significant i...

Blessed!

Image
Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. — James 1:17 (NLT) We are so blessed! God has freely given us every good thing and every perfect gift. The heavens are the heavens of the LORD, but the earth He has given to the sons of men. (Psalms 115:16 NASB1995) Blessed and happy and favored are those whose lawless acts have been forgiven, and whose sins have been covered up by the blood of Yeshua and completely buried. (See Romans 4:7 & Matthew 26:28) Yahweh remembered us; He will bless! He will bless the house of Israel. He will bless the house of Aaron. He will bless those who fear Yahweh, the small together with the great. (Psalms 115:12-13 LSB) Proverbs 3:33 (NASB1995) says, He blesses the dwelling of the righteous. The blessing of the LORD brings [true] riches, and He adds no sorrow to it [for it comes as a blessing from God]. (Proverbs 10:22 AMP) Yahweh ble...

Be Blessed!

Image
Thus says Yahweh, “Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind and makes flesh his strength, and whose heart turns away from Yahweh. Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh and whose trust is Yahweh. — Jeremiah 7:5, 7 (LSB) How blessed is the man who has made Yahweh his trust, and has not turned to the proud, nor to those who stray into falsehood. (Psalms 40:4 LSB) Let us put no confidence in the flesh. Believe in and trust in Yahweh, the only true and living God. Rely on Him in all situations and circumstances. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” (Romans 10:11 NKJV) Lovingkindness shall surround those who trust in Yahweh. (See Psalms 32:10 LSB) He pardons all your iniquities, heals all your diseases, redeems your life from the pit, and crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion. Yahweh satisfies your years with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle. (See Psalms 103:3-5 LSB) Commit your way to Yahweh, trust in Him, and He will...

Bless You

Image
Yahweh bless you, and keep you; Yahweh make His face shine on you, and be gracious to you; Yahweh lift up His face on you, and give you peace.’ — Numbers 6:24-26 (LSB) In Luke 1:28 (NKJV), the angel Gabriel said to Mary: “ Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women! ” Today, we are abundantly blessed because the LORD is with us and promises never to leave us nor forsake us. Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! (Psalms 34:8 NKJV) Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. (1 Timothy 6:17 NASB1995) How blessed is everyone who fears Yahweh, who walks in His ways. (Psalms 128:1 LSB) He daily loads us with benefits. (See Psalms 68:19 NKJV) He will bless those who fear the LORD, both small and great. May the LORD give you increase more and more, you and your children. May you be...

He Restores

Image
“Don’t call me Naomi,” she responded. “Instead, call me Mara, for the Almighty has made life very bitter for me. I went away full, but the LORD has brought me home empty. Why call me Naomi when the LORD has caused me to suffer and the Almighty has sent such tragedy upon me?” — Ruth 1:20-21 (NLT) In the land of Moab, Naomi’s husband and two sons died. (See Ruth 1:3-5) She returned home to Bethlehem, with her loyal daughter-in-law, Ruth, feeling quite empty. However, Yahweh was not finished with her. In the midst of horrific circumstances, know that God is still at work. He provided a kinsman redeemer named Boaz. Ruth became his wife. The LORD enabled her to become pregnant, and she gave birth to a son. Then the women of the town said to Naomi, “Praise the LORD, who has now provided a redeemer for your family! May this child be famous in Israel. (See Ruth 4:13-14) And indeed, their son, Obed became the grandfather of King David. (See Ruth 4:22) Loss, pain and suffering are part of our li...

God is Good

Image
O taste and see that the LORD [our God] is good; How blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who takes refuge in Him. — Psalm 34:8 (AMP) YAHWEH is good and His plans for us are good. Anyone who puts trust in Him will be blessed and comforted. (See Psalm 34:8 VOICE) So we have no reason to despair. Despite the fact that our outer humanity is falling apart and decaying, our inner humanity is breathing in new life every day. You see, the short-lived pains of this life are creating for us an eternal glory that does not compare to anything we know here. (2 Corinthians 4:16-17 VOICE) It is because of the LORD’s lovingkindnesses that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great and beyond measure is Your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23 AMP)

Blessed or Cursed?

Image
Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD and whose trust is the LORD. For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream and will not fear when the heat comes; But its leaves will be green, and it will not be anxious in a year of drought nor cease to yield fruit. — Jeremiah 17:7-8 (NASB1995) Thus says the LORD, “ Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind and makes flesh his strength, and whose heart turns away from the LORD .” (Jeremiah 17:5 NASB1995) We can position ourselves on the path of blessing or curses. When we trust in people and the power of our own strength, we are planting ourselves on shifting sand. We will eventually be disappointed, weak and hopeless. However, the person who believes and trusts in, and relies on YAHWEH, is planted on the firm foundation of God. They will be blessed, strengthened and full of peace and hope. Now that you have welcomed the Anointed One, Jesus the Lord, into your lives, continue to journey with Him and allow H...

Restoration

Image
When Job prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes. In fact, the LORD gave him twice as much as before! So the LORD blessed Job in the second half of his life even more than in the beginning. For now he had 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 teams of oxen, and 1,000 female donkeys. — Job 42:10, 12 (NASB1995) When Job took his eyes off of himself, and prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes. May we bless those who curse us, and pray for those who mistreat us. (See Luke 6:28 NASB1995) “And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you for your offenses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your offenses.”] (Mark 11:25-26 NASB)  In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm...

Be Deeply Rooted

Image
“ But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.”  — Jeremiah 17:7-8 (NLT) Never be worried or bothered by dismal circumstances, but keep trusting in YAHWEH, our Maker and Creator of the heavens and the earth. And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. (Colossians 2:6-7 NLT) Remain in Christ and He will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in Him. (See John 15:4 NLT)

Blessed!

Image
If you are insulted because you bear the name of Christ, you will be blessed, for the glorious Spirit of God rests upon you. — 1 Peter 4:14 (NLT) But it is no shame to suffer for being a Christian. Praise God for the privilege of being called by his name! (1 Peter 4:16 NLT) God gave Him the name above all other names. so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:10-11 NASB1995) So if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for he will never fail you. (1 Peter 4:19 NLT) ...let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. (Galatians 6:9 NLT) “ God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. ” — Matthew 5:10 (NLT)

God is Good

Image
For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You. — Psalm 86:5 (NASB) For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. (Psalm 84:11 NASB) O LORD of hosts, How blessed and greatly favored is the man who trusts in You [believing in You, relying on You, and committing himself to You with confident hope and expectation]. (Psalm 84:12 AMP) Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. The one who does good is of God; the one who does evil has not seen God. — 3 John 1:11 (NASB)
