Victory is Ours!

For the LORD your God is going with you! He will fight for you against your enemies, and he will give you victory!’ — Deuteronomy 20:4 (NLT) Two things to remember: First, the battle belongs to the LORD. As David said when he faced the giant, Goliath, “... that this entire assembly may know that the LORD does not save with the sword or with the spear; for the battle is the LORD’s and He will hand you over to us. ” (1 Samuel 17:47 AMP) Second, the LORD has already given us the victory (past tense). Hallelujah! Just as the Israelites followed the cloud in the desert for 40 years. Our way of life is to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, move when He says move, stop when He says stop, speak when He gives us the words and when He says be quiet, stop talking.  Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ ... (2 Corinthians 2:14)!

My Support

They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the LORD was my support. — Psalm 18:18 (AMP) When the enemy confronts you, it is God who arms you with strength, and makes your way perfect. (Psalm 18:32 NKJV). He arms you with strength for the battle; (Psalm 18:39 NKJV). Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). The enemy likes to come at us when we are down or weak, but thanks be to God, He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57)

Proven!

Blessed be God— he heard me praying. He proved he’s on my side; I’ve thrown my lot in with him. Now I’m jumping for joy, and shouting and singing my thanks to him. — Psalm 28:7 (MSG) Always trying to figure things out will lead us to question God and wander away from Him. Instead, go with what you know! His Word is true and it will last forever. Our God is rich in mercy and grace. His faithfulness has been tried and tested. He’s proven His lovingkindness to us over and over again. Know that God is on your side and He will work everything together for good in your life. Seek and deeply long for the LORD and His strength [His power, His might]; Seek and deeply long for His face and His presence continually. ( Psalm 105:4 AMP )

Victory is Ours!

For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries. — 1 Corinthians 16:9 (NKJV) When God opens doors of opportunity, do not be surprised when you encounter adversaries and opposition, as you pursue what God has for you. The fiery darts of the enemy will come. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57 NKJV). Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong (1 Corinthians 16:13 NIV). For you have the victory!

Give Attention to God

“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes. — Matthew 6:34 (MSG) Instead of dreading what may come in the future, put your attention on all the great works which the LORD is doing in your midst today. Do not be anxious about anything, but put your trust in God. The goodness of God endures continually (Psalm 52:1 NKJV). Give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! (Psalm 107:31)  Remain in His peace, the LORD will perfect that which concerns you. Amen!

Always Ready to Help

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. — Psalm 46:1-2 (NLT) No matter what earth shattering news may come, we will not fear because God is our refuge. No matter how huge the mountain that falls into our world, He remains the strength of our lives. He is ever-present and always ready to help in troubling times. He never fails to act on behalf of those who wait for him. (Isaiah 64:4). And thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57)!

Sacrifices in Abundance

The next day they offered sacrifices and burnt offerings to the Lord…and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel. — 1 Chronicles 29:21 (AMP) In today’s culture of convenience and entitlement, most of us rarely entertain the notion of giving sacrificially, giving of our time, our treasures and our talents, until it hurts. Sacrifice is the act of giving up something valued for the sake of something else regarded as more important or worthy. What are you willing to offer to God as a sacrifice today, for the sake of His Kingdom? May we freely sacrifice to the LORD in abundance. Let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name (Hebrews 13:15). Psalm 27:6 tells us to offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle. Psalm 51:17 says God will not despise, the sacrifices of a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart. And then, Romans 12:1 tells us to present our bodies as living sacrifices, holy, acceptable to God. Amen!

What a Generous Giver!

“O our God, we thank you and praise your glorious name! But who am I, and who are my people, that we could give anything to you? Everything we have has come from you, and we give you only what you first gave us!” — 1 Chronicles 29:13-14 (NLT)  Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father (James 1:17). Let us give Him thanks, and praise His glorious name! All that we have, His generous hand has provided. May we be wise stewards of all that God has so graciously entrusted to us: our finances, our children, our spouses, material possessions, etc.

Abundant Mercy & Loving-Kindness

O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever! — Psalm 107:1 (AMP) The Lord is good and He does good. God is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving-kindness and truth (Exodus 34:6, AMP). He loves us with an everlasting love, a love never runs out on us. It is because of the Lord’s mercy and loving-kindness that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions fail not (Lamentations 3:22, AMP). Keep your eyes on the Lord, for He will perfect that which concerns you; (Psalm 138:8, AMP)

Oh, How Good It Is!

It is good to give thanks to the LORD, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, and Your faithfulness every night, — Psalm 92:1-2 (NKJV) The Amplified versions says, it is a good and delightful thing to give thanks to the Lord! Let us always give thanks and May we proclaim His unfailing love at daybreak. Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; (Lamentations 3:22-22). Declare His faithfulness each and every night. His faithful Presence is with us throughout the day and all through the night. Sing His praises!

Joy in the Morning!

Sing praise to the LORD, you saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. — Psalm 30:4-5 (NKJV) Let us praise the LORD all of our days. Even in our darkest hour, we know that He is with us and His favor lasts a lifetime! He turns our mourning into dancing; He removes our clothes of mourning and clothes us with gladness (Psalm 30:11). Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes in the morning. Hallelujah!

I will Look Up!

My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; In the morning I will direct it to You, and I will look up. — Psalm 5:3 (NKJV) Daily enter the throne room of God, with your heart as the living sacrifice. Let it be your voice the LORD hears every morning, giving thanks for another day and laying your requests and concerns before Him. When you don’t know what to do, look up, look to our mighty God and listen for His still small voice. He knows the solution to every problem. He has the answer to every question. And He will provide the direction and guidance that is needed for every situation you face. Amen!

God is for Us!

What then shall we say to [all] this? If God is for us, who [can be] against us? [Who can be our foe, if God is on our side?] — Romans 8:31 (AMP) With God on our side, we cannot lose. No weapon that is formed against us will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The Spirit Himself makes intercession for us (Romans 8:26). Our Advocate, Christ is at the right hand of God, He also makes intercession for us (Romans 8:34). We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37). Let us give thanks to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57). Amen!

Always Give Thanks!

My daughter sent me this powerful question that she was asked at a church service this weekend: What if you awoke this morning and all you had were the things you thanked God for yesterday? It is good to give thanks to the LORD, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; (Psalm 92:1). And forget not all His benefits (Psalm 103:2)! . . .giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, — Ephesians 5:20 (NKJV)

Don't Worry!

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. — Philippians 5:6 (NLT) In every situation and circumstance, pray and petition God. Continue to give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:18, NIV). And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19, NKJV).

Give Thanks for His Goodness!

Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness.  — Psalm 107:8-9 (NKJV) Let us thank the LORD for His great goodness and for all the wonderful works He has done in our lives. The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought. When things seem really dry, drink from the rivers of His living water. When your soul is empty and hungers for more, be filled with His Presence. In His presence is fullness of joy; at His right hand are pleasures forevermore (Psalm 16:11).

Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, thanked God for them, and broke them into pieces. He gave them to the disciples, who distributed the food to the crowd. — Matthew 15:36 (NLT) After Jesus gave thanks for the seven loaves of bread and a few fish, four thousand men, besides women and children all ate and were satisfied. Then, the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. (Matthew 15:37-38). May we always give thanks to God for all that He has provided. If we remain faithful with the little, in the face of apparent lack, we will be satisfied. We serve a God of more than enough. Amen!

Release the Weight

Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you; He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip, fall, or fail). — Psalm 55:22 (AMP) Give your burdens to the Lord, releasing the full weight of them all. Blessed be the Lord, Who bears our burdens and carries us day by day, even the God Who is our salvation! Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! (Psalm 68:19, AMP). Thank God for His faithfulness, for He will sustain you. He will not allow you to slip, fall or fail.

Findy Joy

I will give you thanks, O LORD, with all my heart. I will tell about all the miracles you have done. I will find joy and be glad about you. I will make music to praise your name, O Most High.  — Psalm 9:2 (GW) Sometimes joy evades us, we have to seek it out. Let us find joy in the simple blessings of life: roof over our heads, food on the table, clothes on our backs. Find joy in the love of family and friends. We take all these things for granted, yet there are many who lack these needful things. Most of all, we can take joy in God, our Savior. Rejoice that our God loves you and that His Son, Jesus Christ died for us that we may have eternal fellowship with our heavenly Father. Find joy and be glad for all the wonderful works the LORD has done in your midst!

Like a Sweet Smelling Perfume

But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ’s victory] and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere, — 2 Corinthians 2:14 (AMP) We are to release the pleasing aroma of Christ, a life-giving fragrance. Do you smell of His sacrificial, undying love and tender kindness? Do those around you get a whiff of the sweet smell of joy when you are around? May we fill the air with the pleasant aroma of Christ, His peace, His obedience, His goodness and His faithfulness.
