Seek First

Image
But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.  — Matthew 6:33 (AMP) The most profitable and advantageous thing we can invest our time, talents and resources in is the Kingdom of God. “And don’t be concerned about what to eat and what to drink. Don’t worry about such things. These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers all over the world, but your Father already knows your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need. (Luke 12:29-31 NLT)  “Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.” (Matthew 6:19-21 NLT) “Yes, a ...

He Remembers You

Then they arose early in the morning and worshiped before the LORD, and returned again to their house in Ramah. And Elkanah had relations with Hannah his wife, and the LORD remembered her.  — 1 Samuel 1:19 (NASB1995) In 1 Samuel 1:10 (NLT), Hannah was in deep anguish, crying bitterly as she prayed to the LORD. Eli, the priest, saw her lips moving but heard no sound, so he thought she had been drinking. (See 1 Samuel 1:12-13 NLT) “Oh no, sir!” she replied. “I haven’t been drinking wine or anything stronger. But I am very discouraged, and I was pouring out my heart to the LORD. Don’t think I am a wicked woman! For I have been praying out of great anguish and sorrow.” (1 Samuel 15-16 NLT) When they returned home, Elkanah slept with Hannah, and the LORD remembered her plea, and in due time she gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, for she said, “I asked the LORD for him.” (See 1 Samuel 1:19-20 NLT) If you are discouraged and in deep anguish, pour your heart out to Yahweh. He reme...

He Supplies

God made the wild animals according to their species, the livestock according to their species, and everything that crawls on the ground, each according to its species. And God saw that it was good. — Genesis 1:25 (TLV) As I learned about the elephants yesterday, I was once again, amazed at how great our God is. He created such a wide variety of animals and gave each one exactly what they needed to survive the environment He placed them in. He also made every nation of mankind to live on the face of the earth, and determined our appointed times and the boundaries of our habitation. (See Acts 17:26) Just as He provides for the animals, He continually provides for all of our needs and equips us to live on the earth for such a time as this. He will supply all we need for the environment and current conditions we deal with in the world today. He is a good, faithful and loving Father, Who always takes care of His children. Amen. The eyes of all look expectantly to You, and You give them th...

He Embraces Us

“ So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him. ” — Luke 15:20 (NLT) In Luke 11-32, Jesus tells a parable about a prodigal son who journeyed to a distant land and wasted all his money in wild living. After his money ran out, a great famine swept over the land, and he began to starve. In Luke 15:17-18, the son finally came to his senses and decided to go home to his father. His father, like our Abba Father is filled with love and compassion. If you have strayed away, return home to Abba Father. His arms are open wide to receive you. The everlasting arms of Yahweh will envelope you in a warm embrace. Let His amazing love seep into every pore of your being. You will receive more of Him, because God is love (See 1 John 4:8). His perfect love casts out all fear. (See 1 John 4:18) His marvelous light illuminates dark corners and crevices. Be filled with His...

In Due Time

Hannah was in deep anguish, crying bitterly as she prayed to the LORD. (1 Samuel 1:10 NLT) First  Samuel 15-16 NLT says, Hannah was very discouraged, and was pouring out heart heart to the LORD. She prayed out of great anguish and sorrow. …When Elkanah slept with Hannah, the LORD remembered her plea, and in due time she gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, for she said, “I asked the LORD for him.” — 1 Samuel 1:19-20 (NLT) Hannah’s son went on to faithfully serve the LORD, in the house of God. Samuel was a prophet and key leader to the Israelites. We should always pray and never give up. (See Luke 18:1) The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. (See James 5:16 NLT)  Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers and the LORD will answer, in due time.

Seek the LORD

Image
Seek the LORD while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near. Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the LORD that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously. — Isaiah 55:6-7 (NLT) Zechariah prophesied about John the Baptist that he would prepare the way for the Lord. …that the Lord’s people will receive knowledge of their freedom through the forgiveness of their sins. All this will flow from the kind and compassionate mercy of our God. A new day is dawning: the Sunrise from the heavens will break through in our darkness, (See Luke 1:77-78 VOICE) Today, is a new day. Seek the Lord. Receive His mercy. Know the truth. We are forgiven and free. Fulfill His purpose and live a rich and satisfying life. (See John 10:10 NLT)
