The footsteps of a man are established by Yahweh, and He delights in his way. When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong, because Yahweh is the One who sustains his hand. — Psalm 37:23-24 (LSB) Notice that the Word says “WHEN” he falls, not if. We are all subject to fall, in some way. However, we do not have to stay down. Proverbs 24:16 says: …a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again. He will lift you out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He will set your feet on solid ground. (See Psalms 40:2 NLT) No matter how dark and deep the pit, Yahweh is able to lift you out. Proverbs 16:18 (AMP) says: Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God (See 1 Peter 5:6), and follow His direction for your life. The LORD is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works. All Your works shall praise You, O LORD, and Your saints shall bless You. They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, and talk of Your power, — Psalm 145:9-11 (NKJV) Yahweh is good and He does good. The Eternal sustains all who stumble on their way. For those who are broken down, God is near. He raises them up in hope. All eyes have turned toward Him, waiting in expectation; when they are hungry, He feeds them right on time. The desires of every living thing are met by His open hand. The Eternal is right in all His ways, and He is kind in all His acts. (See Psalm 145:14-17 VOICE) The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. (Psalm 145:18 NASB1995) The Eternal is gracious. He shows mercy to His people. With your hand of love upon my life, you impart a blessing to me. This is just too wonderful, deep, and incomprehensible! Your understanding of me brings me wonder and strength. (Psalm 139:5-6 TPT) Find strength in the One Who holds your hand and sustains you. He has placed His hand of blessing on your head. ‘May the LORD bless you and protect you. Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”  — John 6:32-33 (NKJV) And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”  (John 6:35) Jesus is the bread of life, who gives life to the world. He is the only One who can satisfy our hunger. That emptiness inside our hearts, hungers for His presence, and nothing else will do. In Matthew 6:11, Jesus taught His disciples to pray: “Give us this day our daily bread” because He is the One who sustains our lives, day by day. In order to live full and satisfying lives, we must partake of Him everyday. So let us respond to Jesus, the same way His disciples did: They said to Him, “ Lord, give us this bread always .” (John 6:34)

The wicked man earns deceptive wages, but he who sows righteousness and lives his life with integrity will have a true reward [that is both permanent and satisfying]. — Proverbs 11:18 (AMP) Seek what is good (God is good) and sow righteousness. The LORD upholds and sustains the righteous [who seek Him]. (Psalm 37:23 AMP) He who earnestly seeks good finds favor, (Proverbs 11:27a).  Just as God has freely given to us, let us freely give. Sow love, joy, peace, patience, and kindness. Forgive those who hurt you. Comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. (2 Corinthians 1:4) We will truly be satisfied, as we allow ourselves to be channels for God's goodness to flow through us and into the lives of others. Trust in the LORD and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart’s desires. (Psalm 37:3-4 NLT)

A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.  — Psalm 68:5 (NIV) Some people don't know their biological fathers. Others have fathers who are absent from their lives for a number of reasons. And some earthly fathers were not healthy enough to be "good" fathers. However, The LORD sustains the fatherless (Psalm 146:9 NIV). Our Heavenly Father is perfect! He was there watching over us as children and He is always with us now. God is the helper of the fatherless (Psalm 10:14 NIV). He is the ultimate Provider and Protector. And He gives us wise guidance. Thank Abba Father for being the best Dad anyone could ever have.  “HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!”  to all the Dads. Know that your family needs you!

Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.  — Psalm 54:4 (NIV) God is on your side. And if God is for you, who can stand against you? He is an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Since God has assured us, “I’ll never let you down, never walk off and leave you,” we can say with confidence, “The LORD is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?”

The High and Lofty One lives forever, and his name is holy. This is what he says: I live in a high and holy place.  But I am with those who are crushed and humble. I will renew the spirit of those who are humble  and the courage of those who are crushed. Isaiah 57:15 (GW) If you are crushed and humble, know that the Lord is with you. James instructs us to humble ourselves before the Lord, and He will lift us up (James 4:10). Humility comes before honor. The Lord guides the humble in what is right and teaches them His way (Psalm 25:9). He sustains the humble and crowns them with victory. Be completely humble (Ephesians 4:2) and the Lord will show you His favor (Proverbs 3:34). He will renew your spirit and strengthen the courage of those who are crushed. Amen.

Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit. The LORD sustains the humble but casts the wicked to the ground. Psalm 147:5-6 (NIV) How pleasant and fitting it is to praise our great God. There is no limit to His knowledge and understanding. His love never fails. He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds. The LORD sustains the humble but brings the wicked down. Humble yourself under God's mighty hand and He will be your support.
