Pursue Holiness

“Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:” — Hebrews 12:14 (NKJV) The call of God is a higher and holy calling. In Isaiah 55:9, Yahweh says, His ways are higher than our ways. It is a calling to be set apart from the world and its ways and live a life that is pleasing to Yahweh. Hebrews 12:14 (TPT) instructs us to “ run swiftly toward holiness.” For God has not called us to impurity, but to holiness [to be dedicated, and set apart by behavior that pleases Him, whether in public or in private]. (1 Thessalonians 4:7 AMP) Conforming to a life of holiness is not something we can do on our own. It is the work of the Holy Spirit within us. “WHY?”

Then Gideon said to him, “O my lord, if Yahweh is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His wondrous deeds which our fathers recounted to us, saying, ‘Did not Yahweh bring us up from Egypt?’ But now Yahweh has abandoned us and given us into the hand of Midian.” — Judges 6:13 (LSB) We may sometimes wonder “ why? ” certain things are happening to us, but the more important thing is “ WHO ” is with us in the midst of all the trials and tribulations. As Yahweh told Gideon in Judges 6:16 (AMP), He will certainly be with you. And if God is for us, who can be [successful] against us? Go With The Strength You Have

“Sir,” Gideon replied, “if the LORD is with us, why has all this happened to us? And where are all the miracles our ancestors told us about? Didn’t they say, ‘The LORD brought us up out of Egypt’? But now the LORD has abandoned us and handed us over to the Midianites.” Then the LORD turned to him and said, “Go with the strength you have, and rescue Israel from the Midianites. I am sending you!” — Judges 6:13-14 (NLT) Instead of wondering why all the current events are happening in the world today, let us press on, with the strength we have. Surely, Yahweh will be with us, and equip us for the task He has given us to do. The righteous keep moving forward, and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger. (Job 17:9 NLT)

Live in the Light
