Armed with Strength

Image
“ I love you, LORD; you are my strength. The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. ” — Psalms 18:1-2 (NLT) “…in my distress I cried out to the LORD; yes, I prayed to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry to him reached his ears.” (Psalms 18:6 NLT) “He reached down from heaven and rescued me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemies, from those who hated me and were too strong for me. They attacked me at a moment when I was in distress, but the LORD supported me.” (Psalms 18:16-18 NLT) “God’s way is perfect. All the LORD’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. For who is God except the LORD? Who but our God is a solid rock? God arms me with strength, and he makes my way perfect. He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights.” (Psalms 18:30-33 NLT) Let us ...

Our Only Hope

Image
“You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds, O God our savior. You are the hope of everyone on earth, even those who sail on distant seas. You formed the mountains by your power and armed yourself with mighty strength. You quieted the raging oceans with their pounding waves and silenced the shouting of the nations. Those who live at the ends of the earth stand in awe of your wonders. From where the sun rises to where it sets, you inspire shouts of joy.” — Psalms 65:5-8 (NLT) The nations are in chaos, and their kingdoms crumble! God’s voice thunders, and the earth melts! The LORD of Heaven’s Armies is here among us; the God of Israel is our fortress. Interlude (Psalms 46:6-7)   It is God alone who judges; he decides who will rise and who will fall. (Psalms 75:7 NLT) He causes wars to end throughout the earth... (See Psalms 46:9 NLT) And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you. (Psalms 39:7 NLT)  ...live in the fear of the LORD always. Surely there is ...

Push Through

Image
“You are my God, my King! It’s now time to decree majesties for Jacob! Through your glorious name and your awesome power, we can push through to any victory and defeat every enemy. For I will not trust in the weapons of the world; I know they will never save me. Only you will be our Savior from all our enemies. All those who hate us you have brought to shame.” — Psalms 44:4-7 (TPT) The LORD is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid? The LORD is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? When evil people come to devour me, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident. (Psalms 27:1-3 NLT) “No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.” (Romans 8:37 NLT) In God we have boasted all day long, and we will give thanks to Your name forever. Selah. — Psalms 44:8 (NASB1995)

Don't Be Surprised

Image
Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. — 1 Peter 4:12 (NLT) In Isaiah 43:2-3 (NASB1995) Yahweh says: “ When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior...” Notice that the Scripture says “ when ” and not “if.” Know that we will have some flood waters, stormy seas, and fiery furnace experiences. Here on earth we will have many trials and sorrows. (See John 16:33 NLT) However, Yahweh promised to be with you and He is faithful to bring you through it all. The Scripture says you will pass through the water and walk through the fire. These trials and troubles are temporary but our great God is eternal. And nothing, absolutely nothing is too difficult for Him. “ No man will be able to stand before you...

Remember God

Image
Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God! Now I am deeply discouraged, but I will remember you…  — Psalms 42:5-6a (NLT) We get anxious, fearful and discouraged when we forget about God, His greatness and His goodness. We do not have to be afraid or discouraged. Remember Yahweh. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. (See Joshua 1:9 NLT) He is on your side and nothing is too difficult for Him. He is a shield about you, your glory, and the One who lifts your head. (See Psalms 3:3 NASB1995) Put your hope in God and continue to praise Him. …the LORD’s delight is in those who fear him, those who put their hope in his unfailing love. (Psalms 147:11 NLT) My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me. O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge.  Interlude — Psalms 62:7-8 (NLT)

Our Rock and Fortress

Image
He sang: “The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. He is my refuge, my savior, the one who saves me from violence.” — 2 Samuel 22:2-3 (NLT) In my distress I called upon Yahweh, and I called to my God; And out of His temple He heard my voice, and my cry for help came into His ears. (2 Samuel 22:7 LSB) “Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy! I look to you for protection. I will hide beneath the shadow of your wings until the danger passes by. I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me.” (Psalms 57:1-2 NLT) He reached down from heaven and rescued me; he drew me out of deep waters. (2 Samuel 22:17 (NLT) When overwhelmed and in distress, call upon Yahweh. He is faithful to hear and come to the rescue. He will give you His shield of victory; His help will make you great. (See 2 Samuel 22:36 NLT) “The LORD lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let God be exal...

No Condemnation

Image
Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior]. — Romans 8:1 (AMP) “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.” (Luke 6:37 NKJV) For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. But— When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. (Titus 3:3-5 NLT) Therefore if anyone is in Messiah, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17 TLV) Let go of the old, dead things and press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (See Phi...

Just Passing Through

Image
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you. For I am Yahweh your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior…” — Isaiah 43:2-3 (LSB) Remember that whatever challenges, troubles, or trials you encounter on life’s journey, they shall also come to pass. Yahweh is faithful to be with you and to bring you through it all. He will lift you out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He will set your feet on solid ground and steady you as you walk along. (See Psalms 40:2 NLT) Even when you walk through the darkest valley, do not be afraid, for He is close beside you. His rod and His staff will protect and comfort you. (See Psalms 23:4 NLT) Yahweh will help you over the hurdles and give you the strength to press on, in any and every situation.

He Will Come Back Again

Image
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever. So encourage each other with these words.   — 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 (NLT) I encourage you with these words. No matter what you go through today, remember our future is very bright and will last for all eternity. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18 NKJV) Our Savior said to His disciples: “Do not let your heart be troubled (afraid, cowardly). Believe [confidently] in God and trust in Him, [have faith, hold on to it, rely on it, keep going and] believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many dwelling pl...

Our Strength & Shield

Image
I love you, LORD; you are my strength. The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. — Psalm 18:1-2 (NLT) Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face continually. (Psalm 105:4 NASB1995)
He arms us with strength for the battle. In His strength we can crush an army; with our God we can scale any wall. (See Psalm 18:29,39 NLT) The nearness of God is for our good. Apart from Jesus we can do nothing. God’s way is perfect. All the LORD’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? He has given us His shield of victory. His right hand is our support. (See Psalm 30-31,18:35 NLT)  The LORD lives! Praise to my Rock! May the God of my salvation be exalted! — Psalm 18:46 (NLT)

The Expected One

Image
So the men came to Jesus and said, “John the Baptist sent us to You to ask, ‘Are You the Expected One (the Messiah), or should we look for someone else?’” — Luke 7:20 (AMP) John the Baptist was the voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Prepare the way of the LORD…” (See Matthew 3:1-3) In Matthew 3:13-14, Jesus came to John to be baptized by him and John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?” However, as John sat in prison, he sent men to ask Jesus if He was the Expected One. In the midst of adverse circumstances, never doubt or wonder if Jesus is the One. James 1:6 says, the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. Believers stand strong in faith, trusting God in all situations. In Luke 7:22 (NASB1995), Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and report to John what you have seen and heard: the blind receive sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, the poo...

He Never Changes

Image
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. — Hebrews 13:8 (NASB1995) Unlike the constantly shifting things of this world, Jesus never changes. In Jesus, we have all that we need. And He is with us always, even to the end of the age. (See Matthew 28:20) He is our Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. (See 1 John 2:1-2 NKJV) For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 3:11 NLT) For this is contained in Scripture: “Behold, I lay in Zion a choice stone, a precious corner stone, and he who believes in Him will not be disappointed.” (1 Peter 2:6 NASB1995) He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the One who is, who was and who is to come, the Almighty; the First and the Last (See Revelation 1:8, 22:13 NKJV) Jesus came that we may have life, and have it abundantly. (See John 10:10) He is our r...

Blessed be the Lord

Image
Blessed be the Lord— day after day he carries us along. He’s our Savior, our God, oh yes! He’s God-for-us, he’s God-who-saves-us. Lord God knows all death’s ins and outs. — Psalm 68:19-20 (MSG) Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden. He is God-for-us. Our God is a mighty God who saves us over and over! For the Lord, Yahweh, rescues us from the ways of death many times. (Psalm 68:20 TPT) …praise the name of God with song and magnify Him with thanksgiving. (Psalm 69:30 NASB) “ All the earth will worship You, and will sing praises to You; They will sing praises to Your name. ” Selah. — Psalm 66:4 (NASB)

He Stands with You

Image
The first time I was brought before the judge, no one came with me. Everyone abandoned me. May it not be counted against them. But the Lord stood with me and gave me strength so that I might preach the Good News in its entirety for all the Gentiles to hear. And he rescued me from certain death. — 2 Timothy 4:16-17 (NLT) All others may desert you but remember, the Lord stands with you and gives you strength. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” “I will always be by your side.” (See Hebrews 13:5 NLT/VOICE) In the Amplified Bible, he says: “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you.” When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior…  (Isaiah 43:2-3a NLT)

Armed with Strength

Image
For who is God except the LORD? Who but our God is a solid rock? God arms me with strength, and he makes my way perfect. He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights. — Psalm 18:31-33 (NLT) The LORD trains my hands for battle; He strengthens my arm to draw a bronze bow. He has given me His shield of victory. His right hand supports me; His help has made me great. (Psalm 18:34-35) I’m singing joyful praise to God. I’m turning cartwheels of joy to my Savior God. Counting on God’s Rule to prevail, I take heart and gain strength. I run like a deer. I feel like I’m king of the mountain! (Habakkuk 3:18-19 MSG) Hallelujah and Amen!

This is the Day

Image
This is the day which the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it. — Psalm 118:24 (NASB) So then, my soul, why would you be depressed? Why would you sink into despair? Just keep hoping and waiting on God, your Savior. For no matter what, I will still sing with praise, for living before his face is my saving grace! (Psalm 42:5 TPT) Look around you: Winter is over;  the winter rains are over, gone! Spring flowers are in blossom all over. The whole world’s a choir—and singing! (Song of Solomon 2:11-12 MSG) Sing out with songs of thanksgiving to the Lord! Let’s sing our praises with melodies overflowing! (Psalm 147:7 TPT)

A Very Present Help

Image
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. — Psalm 46:1 (NASB) The LORD is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him. (Nahum 1:7 NLT) Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Jesus. (John 14:1) He is our Savior, Redeemer and the Solid Rock. Jesus is the Prince of Peace and our Good Shepherd. He is King of kings and Lord of lords, the Alpha and the Omega. And He says: “ I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age. ” (Matthew 28:20 AMP) Amen. I have set the LORD continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. — Psalm 16:8 (NASB)

Stand Still & Silent

Image
I am standing in absolute stillness, silent before the one I love, waiting as long as it takes for him to rescue me. Only God is my Savior, and he will not fail me. — Psalm 62:5 (TPT) I stand silently to listen for the one I love, waiting as long as it takes for the Lord to rescue me. For God alone has become my Savior. He alone is my safe place; his wrap-around presence always protects me. For he is my champion defender; there’s no risk of failure with God. So why would I let worry paralyze me, even when troubles multiply around me? (Psalm 62:1-2 TPT) For God alone my soul waits in silence and quietly submits to Him, for my hope is from Him. (Psalm 62:5 AMP) Stand strong and still in full expectation that our heavenly Father will fulfill every promise He has made.

Trust Him at ALL Times

Image
O LORD of hosts, How blessed and greatly favored is the man who trusts in You [believing in You, relying on You, and committing himself to You with confident hope and expectation]. — Psalm 84:12 (AMP) Commit yourself to God. For the LORD God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The LORD will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right. (Psalm 84:11 NLT) God’s glory is all around me! His wrap-around presence is all I need, for the Lord is my Savior, my hero, and my life-giving strength. (Psalm 62:7 TPT) Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah. (Psalm 62:8 NASB)

The Perfect Gift

Image
Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. — James 1:17 (NLT) Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above. And JESUS is the most perfect gift of all. Receive Him. Father God has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. (1 John 4:14 TPT) God sent His only Son into the world so that we could find true life through Him (1 John 4:9 VOICE). Jesus is everything we need. He is the bread of life; he who comes to Him will not hunger, and he who believes in Him will never thirst (John 6:35). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). He is Wonderful Counselor. You can talk to Him 24 hours a day, every day. He is Mighty God. There is no problem too difficult for Him. He is an Everlasting Father. His love for us never fails. He always watches over and takes care of His children. Let us celebrate King Jesus, Savior of the world!
