O LORD, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth! Your glory is higher than the heavens. When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers— the moon and the stars you set in place— what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them? — Psalms 8:1, 3-4 (NLT) O LORD, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, LORD. You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand! (Psalms 139:1-6) How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me! (Psalms 139:17-18 NLT)  Yahweh has not forgotten ...

“Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:” — Hebrews 12:14 (NKJV) The call of God is a higher and holy calling. In Isaiah 55:9, Yahweh says, His ways are higher than our ways. It is a calling to be set apart from the world and its ways and live a life that is pleasing to Yahweh. Hebrews 12:14 (TPT) instructs us to “ run swiftly toward holiness.” For God has not called us to impurity, but to holiness [to be dedicated, and set apart by behavior that pleases Him, whether in public or in private]. (1 Thessalonians 4:7 AMP) Conforming to a life of holiness is not something we can do on our own. It is the work of the Holy Spirit within us. Jesus turned to Peter and said, “Get away from me, Satan! You are a dangerous trap to me. You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God’s.” — Matthew 16:23 (NLT) May we see situations with eyes of faith, from Yahweh’s point of view. His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. (See Isaiah 55:9) Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. (Colossians 3:1-2 NASB1995) A mind set on the things of man is a tool for Satan to use. Let us have our mind set on the things of Yahweh and His Kingdom. 

Praise the LORD! Yes, give praise, O servants of the LORD. Praise the name of the LORD! Blessed be the name of the LORD now and forever. Everywhere—from east to west— praise the name of the LORD. For the LORD is high above the nations; his glory is higher than the heavens. — Psalms 113:1-4 (NLT) Our God is good and everything He does is good. (See Psalms 119:68) Everything he does reveals his glory and majesty. His righteousness never fails. He causes us to remember his wonderful works. How gracious and merciful is our LORD! (Psalms 111:3-4 NLT) Not to us, O L ORD , not to us, but to your name goes all the glory for your unfailing love and faithfulness. (Psalms 115:1) The dead cannot sing praises to the LORD, for they have gone into the silence of the grave. But we can praise the LORD both now and forever! Praise the LORD! (Psalms 115:17-18)

You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. — Psalm 139:16 (NLT) Knowing that YAHWEH has our whole journey written in His book, have you ever wanted to peak ahead and see what’s coming? Hardships and difficulties may give us the desire to skip some chapters all together. However, Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT) says: Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. His thoughts are nothing like our thoughts. And His ways are far beyond anything we can imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so His ways are higher than our ways and His  thoughts higher than our thoughts. Let me dwell in Your tent forever; Let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings. Selah. — Psalm 61:2-4 (NASB) When we are overwhelmed by life’s challenges, let us be led to the Rock. His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9) No one is holy like the LORD! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God. (1 Samuel 2:2 NLT) For the Lord our God, in our midst, is a great and awesome God. If God is for us, who can ever be against us? And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” — Luke 22:41-42 (NKJV) Trust in and rely confidently on the LORD with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. (Proverbs 3:5 AMP) “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His ways higher than our ways, and His thoughts than our thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9) When we do things God’s way, we have no regrets. If we are tempted to do things our way, let us pray. In Luke 22:40, Jesus said, “ Pray that you may not enter into temptation .” Behold, for so shall the man be blessed and divinely favored who fears the LORD [and worships Him with obedience]. (Psalm 128:4 AMP)

We humans keep brainstorming options and plans, but God’s purpose prevails. — Proverbs 19:21 (MSG) Instead of getting upset and frustrated when things don’t work out as you had planned, keep a positive perspective. God’s ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:9). What appears to be a setback, may actually be a set-up for God to show Himself mighty on your behalf. Just as Joseph went into a pit and in prison, before he made his way to the palace, the plans the LORD has for us are good. Be assured God will do abundantly more than you could ever ask or imagine.

Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. — Matthew 6:9-10 (NKJV) When we submit and surrender to the Lord’s will, we can be confident that He will show us the way over every mountain and the way out of any storm. He will lead us and guide us along the best pathway, to the abundant life. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His ways higher than our ways, and His thoughts than our thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9) “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”   (Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV)

Immediately they left their nets and followed Him [becoming His disciples, believing and trusting in Him and following His example]. — Mark 1:18 (AMP) Believe that Jesus is the Savior of the world. Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.   (Acts 2:21) Put your trust in His name. The name of Jesus is higher than any other name. Higher than any sickness or disease. His name is greater and carries more power than any mountain that stands before you. May we follow Jesus. His disciples trusted Him enough to leave their old ways behind. They chose to follow Jesus and pursue a more abundant life. What old ways are you willing to leave behind to follow Jesus? In John 12:36, Jesus said: “While you have the Light, believe and trust in the Light [have faith in it, hold on to it, rely on it], so that you may become sons of Light [being filled with Light as followers of God].”

  “And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”  — Luke 1:31-33 (NKJV) Let us call upon the name of Jesus. His name is higher than any other, and it stands forever. His name carries more weight and has more authority than any other name. At the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, (Philippians 2:10 NASB) When we call upon His name, King Jesus is there to help. There is wonder-working power in the name of Jesus! Oh, give thanks to the LORD! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! (Psalm 105:1) For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

I am counting on the LORD; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word. — Psalm 130:5 (NLT) “ For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. ” (Isaiah 55:8-9 NKJV) In Isaiah 55:11 (AMP), the LORD goes on to say, “So will My word be which goes out of My mouth; It will not return to Me void (useless, without result), without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.” He may not do it the way we think it needs to be done. He may not do it when we think it should be done. But rest assured you can count on Him and put your hope in His Word. His word will be fulfilled in your life at the appointed time and it will be great and glorious.

From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. — Psalm 61:2 (NKJV) When your heart is overwhelmed, cry out to the LORD for help. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. (Psalm 18:2) He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. (Psalm 62:6) Always remember that God is your rock, and the Most High God your Redeemer. (Psalm 78:35) He will make your feet like the feet of deer, and set you on your high places (Psalm 18:33). He will place you above any earthly circumstances. Lead me to the Rock that is higher than I!

My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 121:1-2) For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His ways higher than our ways, and His thoughts than our thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9) Our help comes from the LORD, the rock who is higher than I. He is higher than the circumstances we face today. He is higher than the doctor’s report. He is above any schemes of the enemy. Look up and call upon the LORD, our helper. My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; In the morning I will direct it to You, and I will look up. (Psalm 5:3 NKJV)

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.” — Isaiah 55:9 (NKJV) Matthew 6:10 reads: Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Before Jesus endured the cross, He prayed, saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done .” (Luke 22:42) That Friday before the resurrection, the situation did not look too good, but resurrection day came and Jesus sat down at the right hand of the throne of God, full of glory and majesty. God has a master plan and everything He does, is glorious, spectacular, and awe-inspiring. Instead of trying to force our own way, may we trust in the LORD with all our hearts, and lean not on our own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5) When things do not appear the way we think they should, let us know in our minds (be confident) and believe in our hearts (be joyful) that God’s plan is good and what He has purp...

His ways higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. He is higher than any mountain that stands before us. When we take refuge in the shelter of His wings, we rise above the circumstances of this world. Dwell in the secret place of the Most High. He is our shelter from the enemy. It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on my high places. ( Psalm 18:32-33 NKJV )

But the LORD watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his unfailing love. — Psalm 33:18 (NLT) It’s hard for many to understand the magnitude of God’s love because somebody we knew once told us they loved us, then turned around and hurt us with betrayal, lies, etc. The LORD doesn’t love the way flawed humanity loves. His ways are higher and His love is perfect. He forms a covenant that He is faithful to uphold. His love is always and forever. When our heavenly Father says He will never leave us, He means it. Even though we may stray away from Him, like the father of the prodigal son, He is always on the look out for us to come home. When we turn to Him, He runs to us with arms wide open, to embrace us and hold us close to Him. God gives His all for love. He gave His Son because He loved us and desired to fellowship with us now and forever. He only wants the best for us. We can rely on God’s unfailing love.

For God is the King of all the earth; Sing praises with understanding. God reigns over the nations; God sits on His holy throne. — Psalm 47:7-8 (NKJV) When we truly understand that our God reigns, we can genuinely sing His praises. Understand, that God is higher than any trial that comes our way. God’s Word carries more weight, that your doctor’s report or what your checkbook is saying. Let us comprehend that nothing, absolutely nothing, can separate us from the love God has for us. With our heavenly Father on our side, who can stand against us?

He must increase, but I must decrease.  — John 3:30 (NKJV) Need more of God in your life? What about in your heart? This is the assigned moment for him to move into the center, while we slip off to the sidelines (John 3:30 MSG). Today is the day, now is the time, give God complete access to all of you: your heart, your thoughts, your mouth, etc. May we be led by His Spirit, in all that we do and say, then we can experience His fullness in our lives. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:9 NKJV).
