Alive & Powerful

Image
For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. — Hebrews 4:12 (NLT) Instead of focusing on the latest news, give your attention to the greatest news of all time, the Word of God. Joshua 1:8 (NKJV) says: This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. His word is a lamp to guide our feet and a light for our path. (See Psalms 119:105 NLT) So commit yourselves wholeheartedly to the commands of the LORD your God. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Teach them to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Write them on the ...

More Than Conquerors

Image
We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. — 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NLT) Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us]. (Romans 8:37 AMP) Little children (believers, dear ones), you are of God and you belong to Him and have [already] overcome them [the agents of the antichrist]; because He who is in you is greater than he (Satan) who is in the world [of sinful mankind]. (1 John 4:4 AMP) “… we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and his demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything! ” — Romans 8:37 (TPT)

Life & Peace

Image
A mind focused on the flesh is doomed to death, but a mind focused on the Spirit will find full life and complete peace. — Romans 8:6 (VOICE) May we be led by the Holy Spirit in our thoughts and actions. …for if you are living according to the [impulses of the] flesh, you are going to die. But if [you are living] by the [power of the Holy] Spirit you are habitually putting to death the sinful deeds of the body, you will [really] live forever. (Romans 8:13 AMP) “For no matter how hard they try, God finds no pleasure with those who are controlled by the flesh. But when the Spirit of Christ empowers your life, you are not dominated by the flesh but by the Spirit. And if you are not joined to the Spirit of the Anointed One, you are not of him.” (Romans 8:8-9 TPT) And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. (Romans 8:2 NLT)

Fear God

Image
And Moses said to him, “As soon as I go out of the city, I will spread out my hands to Yahweh; the thunder will cease, and there will be hail no longer, that you may know that the earth is Yahweh’s. But as for you and your servants, I know that you do not yet fear Yahweh God.” — Exodus 9:29-30 (LSB) The [reverent] fear of the LORD [that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome] is the beginning and the preeminent part of knowledge (See Proverbs 1:7 AMP) “When I had nothing, desperate and defeated, I cried out to the Lord and he heard me, bringing his miracle-deliverance when I needed it most. The angel of Yahweh stooped down to listen as I prayed, encircling me, empowering me, and showing me how to escape. He will do this for everyone who fears God.” (Psalms 34:6-7 TPT)

His Purpose Prevails

Image
Then Job answered Yahweh and said, “I know that You can do all things, And that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted.” — Job 42:1-2 (LSB) In Daniel 5:18—21 (NKJV), Daniel said to king Belshazzar, “O king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father a kingdom and majesty, glory and honor. And because of the majesty that He gave him, all peoples, nations, and languages trembled and feared before him. ...But when his heart was lifted up, and his spirit was hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him. Then he was driven from the sons of men, his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys. They fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till he knew that the Most High God rules in the kingdom of men, and appoints over it whomever He chooses.” (See Daniel 5:18—21 NKJV) Know that our great God rules. Instead of being puffed up with pride, keep a humble heart before Yahweh...

No Partiality

Image
Could God govern if he hated justice? Are you going to condemn the almighty judge? For he says to kings, ‘You are wicked,’ and to nobles, ‘You are unjust.’ He doesn’t care how great a person may be, and he pays no more attention to the rich than to the poor. He made them all. — Job 34:17-19 (NLT) …“I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, but in every nation the man who fears Him and does what is right is welcome to Him.” (See Acts 10:34-35 NASB1995) The Lord is not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. (See 2 Peter 3:9 NASB1995) God shows personal favoritism to no man. (See Galatians 2:6 NKJV) If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9 NASB1995) As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. (Psalms 103:12 NASB1995) He redeems your life from destruction, and crowns you with lovingkindness and tender m...

Our Mediator

Image
If only there were a mediator between us, someone who could bring us together. — Job 9:33 (NLT) …there is [only] one God, and [only] one Mediator between God and mankind, the Man Christ Jesus, (See 1 Timothy 2:5 AMP). He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. (See Hebrews 8:6 NKJV) We have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. (See 1 John 2:1) The accuser of the brethren, accuses us before our God day and night. (See Revelation 12:10) But we have Yeshua, our Redeemer. He is mighty and He pleads our case. For I know that my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand at last on the earth; — Job 19:25 (NKJV)

Trust in the Lord

Image
“Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make.” — Proverbs 3:5 (TPT) It is prideful to think we can run our lives without Yahweh. And we know that pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. (See Proverbs 16:18) Do not rely on your own ideas and opinions, nor follow the ways of this world. Trying to figure things out on your own can lead to frustration, confusion, and exhaustion. Instead, listen for the voice of Almighty God. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, and He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way]. (Proverbs 3:6 AMP) For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. (Psalms 84:11 NASB1995)

Be Reconciled to God

Image
All of this is a gift from our Creator God, who has pursued us and brought us into a restored and healthy relationship with Him through the Anointed. And He has given us the same mission, the ministry of reconciliation, to bring others back to Him. It is central to our good news that God was in the Anointed making things right between Himself and the world. This means He does not hold their sins against them. But it also means He charges us to proclaim the message that heals and restores our broken relationships with God and each other. — 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 (VOICE) If we want our horizontal relationships with other people (spouse, siblings, extended family members, friends, co-workers, etc) to be healthy and harmonious, we must get the one vertical, foundational relationship with God in alignment first. If someone claims, “I love God,” but hates his brother or sister, then he is a liar. Anyone who does not love a brother or sister, whom he has seen, cannot possibly love God, whom he...

“Come!”

Image
“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.” And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely. — Revelation 22:16-17 (NKJV) The call of Yeshua is for us to come to Him. He gives freely to all who desire. Eternal One: If you are thirsty, come here; come, there’s water for all. Whoever is poor and penniless can still come and buy the food I sell. There’s no cost—here, have some food, hearty and delicious, and beverages, pure and good. I don’t understand why you spend your money for things that don’t nourish or work so hard for what leaves you empty. Attend to Me and eat what is good; enjoy the richest, most delectable of things. Listen closely, and come even closer. My words will give life, for I will make a covenant with you that cannot be broken, a promise of My enduring ...

Stand Firm

Image
So the dragon became enraged at the woman and went off to make war with the rest of her offspring—those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Yeshua. — Revelation 12:17 (TLV) You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. (2 Timothy 2:3-4 NKJV) Put on the full armor of God, so that you are able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the worldly forces of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist when the times are evil, and after you have done everything, to stand firm. (Ephesians 6:11-13 TLV) But thanks be to God, who keeps giving us the victory through our Lord Yeshua the Messiah!  — 1...

Called to Peace

Image
Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always]. — Colossians 3:15 (AMP) What are the controlling factors in your life? Do you let external circumstances steal your peace? Walk daily with the Prince of Peace and maintain that inner calm that comes from knowing that He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He is the answer to every question and the solution to all your problems. No challenge is too difficult for Him. Troubles will come, but in Yeshua you can take courage and have peace, because He has overcome the world. (See John 16:33) Trust God, and let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, no matter what situation arises. For this reason God highly exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Yeshua every knee should bow, ...

Hope in Him

Image
Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!” — Lamentations 3:22-24 (NKJV) It is because of the lovingkindness of Yahweh that we are not consumed. His tender compassions never fail. We receive fresh new mercies every morning. God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our LORD. (1 Corinthians 1:9 NKJV) No one can measure His faithfulness. It endures to all generations; (See Psalms 119:90 NKJV) He stands with you when everyone else has abandoned you. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (See Hebrews 13:5 NKJV) Keep your hope in Him. I will sing of the mercies of the LORD forever; With my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations. — Psalms 89:1 (NKJV)

Prosper & Succeed

Image
“Beloved friend, I pray that you are prospering in every way and that you continually enjoy good health, just as your soul is prospering.” — 3 John 1:2 (TPT)  May you succeed and prosper in all areas of your life, physically, spiritually, in all of your relationships, in your career, ministry, etc. Joshua 1:8 (NKJV) tells us how: This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. (Psalms 1:2-3 NKJV)

He Sent His Son

Image
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. — 1 John 4:10 (NKJV) And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. (1 John 4:14 NKJV) For God did not send the Son into the world to judge and condemn the world [that is, to initiate the final judgment of the world], but that the world might be saved through Him. (John 3:17 AMP) The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. (See John 10:10a) However, 1 John 3:8 (NKJV) says: The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. Yeshua came that we may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. (See John 10:10b AMP) For everyone born of God is victorious and overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has conquered and overcome the world—our [continuing, persistent] faith [in Jesus the Son of God]. (1 John 5:4 AMP) He is our only hope. (See John 6:68 ...

Rise & Walk

Image
All this will flow from the kind and compassionate mercy of our God. A new day is dawning: the Sunrise from the heavens will break through in our darkness, and those who huddle in night, those who sit in the shadow of death, will be able to rise and walk in the light, guided in the pathway of peace. — Luke 1:78-79 (VOICE) Yeshua came as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Him should no longer abide in darkness. (See John 12:46) Rise and walk for the light of Yeshua illuminates the path that leads to peace and truth. He is the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. (See John 1:9) In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. (John 1:4-5 NASB1995) And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. (John 3:19 NKJV) The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, ...

Don't be Surprised

Image
Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you; — 1 Peter 4:12 (NASB1995) Second Timothy 3:12-13 (NASB1995) says: Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But we are not to get discouraged, nor be afraid. The Lord is faithful to stand with us and strengthen us. (See 1 Timothy 3:17)  The apostle Paul received thirty-nine lashes from the Jews, five times. Three times he was beaten with rods, once he was stoned, three times he was shipwrecked. On frequent journeys, he was in dangers from rivers, robbers, from his own countrymen and from the Gentiles, in dangers in the city, in the wilderness, and on the sea, and in dangers among false brethren. (See 2 Corinthians 11:24-26) In spite of all these things, the apostle Paul reminds us that God is faithful to rescue us. ...

Just Passing Through

Image
By faith they passed through the Red Sea as though they were passing through dry land; and the Egyptians, when they attempted it, were drowned. — Hebrews 11:29 (NASB1995) In rescuing His people from slavery, God led the people around by way of the wilderness of the Red Sea. (See Exodus 13:18) What looked like defeat to them, God had already planned for victory. Whatever you may be going through today, just keep putting one foot in front of the other, making each step, a step of faith. In your darkest moments, know that Yahweh is with you and He is able to bring you through to the other side. For with Yahweh is the fountain of life and in His light we see light. (See Psalms 36:9) Stay on the path Yahweh has laid before you. On that path is His protection and His provision. “Even when your path takes me through the valley of deepest darkness, fear will never conquer me, for you already have! Your authority is my strength and my peace. The comfort of your love takes away my fear. I’ll nev...

Draw Near

Image
and since we have a great and wonderful Priest [Who rules] over the house of God, let us approach [God] with a true and sincere heart in unqualified assurance of faith, having had our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. — Hebrews 10:21-22 (AMP) Let us seize and hold tightly the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is reliable and trustworthy and faithful [to His word]; (Hebrews 10:23 AMP) Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of patient endurance [to bear up under difficult circumstances without compromising], so that when you have carried out the will of God, you may receive and enjoy to the full what is promised. For yet in a very little while, He who is coming will come, and will not delay. (See Hebrews 10:35-37 NKJV/AMP) Instead of being like those who turn away from God to their own destruction, draw near to Him with a faithful and sincere heart. But as for me...

Our Hiding Place

Image
You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah. — Psalms 32:7 (NASB1995) He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust!” (Psalm 91:1-2 NASB1995) Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious and merciful to me, for my soul finds shelter and safety in You, and in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge and be confidently secure until destruction passes by. (Psalms 57:1 AMP) How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! And the sons of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings. (Psalms 36:7 LSB) Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice. (Psalms 63:7 NKJV)
