More than Conquerors

Image
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us]. — Romans 8:37 (AMP) When evil people come to devour me, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident. (Psalms 27:2-3 NLT) Yahweh is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him. (See Psalms 28:7) Proverbs 24:16 (NLT) says, the godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. No matter how many times you stumble and fall, get up again. Keep pressing on and don't draw back. “For with God nothing will be impossible.” (Luke 1:37 NKJV)

True Worship

Image
But a time is coming and is already here when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit [from the heart, the inner self] and in truth; for the Father seeks such people to be His worshipers. God is spirit [the Source of life, yet invisible to mankind], and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” — John 4:23-24 (AMP) True worship is more than a song we sing, and it is not confined to a Sunday, or a specific location. For those who believe in Christ and receive Him as Savior and Lord, worship is to be a lifestyle. We are to walk in a manner worthy of the God who calls us into His own kingdom and glory. (See 1 Thessalonians 2:12) Worship happens as we recognize and acknowledge that Yahweh is the only true and living God, that He is the great “I AM,” full of power and glory. In worship, we humble ourselves and surrender our will for Yahweh’s purpose and plans. True worship comes from the heart, not any external religious demands or requirements.  Our heavenl...

Thirst for More of Him

Image
O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. Thus I have seen You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory. Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips will praise You. — Psalm 63:1-3 (NASB1995) As the deer pants for the water brooks, may your soul pant for Yahweh. (See Psalm 42:1) This world will wring you out, and leave you empty and weary. Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face evermore! (Psalm 105:4 NKJV) The LORD will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring. (Isaiah 58:11 NLT) In Isaiah 55:2 (NASB1995), the LORD says: “Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and delight yourself in abundance.” Those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good th...

What's On Your Mind?

Image
But when He had turned around and looked at His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, “Get behind Me, Satan! For you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.” — Mark 8:33 (NKJV) Let the light of God’s Word permeate the crevices of your mind, so you can be mindful of the things of God. And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes]… (See Romans 12:2 AMP) Colossians 3:2 (NASB1995) instructs us to set our minds on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, (Romans 8:6 NASB1995). …let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. — Ephesians 4:23 (NLT)

Hope in His Word

Image
I wait for the LORD, my soul does wait, and in His word do I hope. — Psalm 130:5 (NASB 1995) Keep your hope in the LORD and in His Word. For the word of God will never fail.” (Luke 1:37 NLT) He fulfills every promise. So also will be the word that He speaks. It does not return to Him unfulfilled. His word performs His purpose and fulfills the mission He sends it out to accomplish. (See Isaiah 55:11 TPT) O Israel, keep hoping, keep trusting, and keep waiting on the Lord, for he is tenderhearted, kind, and forgiving. He has a thousand ways to set you free! — Psalm 130:7 (TPT)

Seek the LORD

Image
Seek and deeply long for the LORD and His strength [His power, His might]; Seek and deeply long for His face and His presence continually. — Psalm 105:4 (AMP) The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness. (Psalm 103:8 NASB) How blessed is the man whose strength is in the LORD. They go from strength to strength. (See Psalm 84:5-7) …the lovingkindness of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who [reverently] fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children, (Psalm 103:17 AMP) Now set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God. They who seek the LORD shall not be in want of any good thing. (See Psalm 34:10)

Patiently Endure

Image
In everything we do, we show that we are true ministers of God. We patiently endure troubles and hardships and calamities of every kind. We have been beaten, been put in prison, faced angry mobs, worked to exhaustion, endured sleepless nights, and gone without food. — 2 Corinthians 6:4-5 (NLT) Like the Apostle Paul, we will endure troubles, hardships and calamities, however we can take comfort in the fact that God is with us, and nothing is too difficult for Him. The Holy Spirit who dwells within us empowers us to walk in the victory Jesus has already obtained for us. And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. (Romans 8:28 AMP)

Follow Fully

Image
But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it. — Numbers 14:24 (NKJV)      May we faithfully follow the Lord Jesus, not just on Sunday, but Monday through Saturday also. Passionately follow Him with your whole heart and in everything you do. Let your mind be fixed upon HIm. Let us be loyally committed to our Savior, who gave His life to save us.      As we continually follow Jesus, we experience fullness of joy and abiding peace. In Jesus, we are more than conquerors, for He has overcome the world. In Him we have gained the victory! Fully follow Christ and you shall inherit your promise land.

Take His Yoke

“Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” -Matthew 11:28-30 NLT When Jesus tells us to put His yoke on, it's a proposition to work together, side-by-side.  He doesn’t want us to report to work for Him everyday like He's a hard task master with a whip.  He invites us to walk with Him and work with Him as He helps us and shows us how to fulfill the Father's great plan for our lives. When we stop trying to force our way and walk in rhythm with Jesus, His yoke will feel easy and light and not cumbersome.

Keep Stepping

Image
The LORD will accomplish that which concerns me; Your [unwavering] lovingkindness, O LORD, endures forever— Do not abandon the works of Your own hands. — Psalm 138:8 (AMP) God never abandons us. Even when you walk through the darkest valley, do not be afraid, for He is close beside you. (Psalm 23:4). No weapon formed against you shall prosper. In spite of the concerns you have today, keep making progress step-by-step, each step in faith, knowing that you can do all things [which He has called you to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers you to fulfill His purpose… (Philippians 4:13).

Be Liberated!

Image
Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” — John 8:31-32 (NLT) Know the truth and be liberated from the traditions of man. Know the truth, and it will set you free from worrying about what other people think. Liberate yourself from self-defeating thoughts, by learning the truth of God's Word. When you know the truth of how much God loves you, how His grace enables you to live victoriously in this life and that the name of Jesus is above every other name, sickness, disease or any other condition, then you will be free indeed.

He's Ready to Rescue!

Image
The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all; — Psalm 34:19 (NIV) Is anyone crying for help? God is listening, ready to rescue you (Psalm 34:17 MSG). None of those who trust in Him shall be condemned (Psalm 34:22 NKJV). The Message Bible says, no one who runs to him loses out (Psalm 34:22). As long as we run to Him and rely on Him, we WIN! We cannot lose because our great God ensures our victory. Hallelujah!

Forsake All & Follow

For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish which they had taken; and so also were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.” So when they had brought their boats to land, they forsook all and followed Him. — Luke 5:9-11 (NKJV) One characteristic of a disciple of Jesus Christ is that they forsake all. In Philippians 3:8 (GW), the Apostle Paul says, “I consider everything else worthless because I’m much better off knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. It’s because of him that I think of everything as worthless. I threw it all away in order to gain Christ” Another trait of the early disciples is that they followed Jesus. They did not make any excuses. Jesus said,  “Follow Me” and they simply followed Him. When we forsake all and follow Him, astonishing things happen in our midst!

How Precious is His Lovingkindness!

How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, and You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures. — Psalm 36:7-8 (NKJV) God crowns us with His precious lovingkindness and tender mercies (Psalm 102:4). Praise the LORD for His lovingkindness which He pours upon us in abundance, each and every day. It is better than life! (Psalm 63:3) He loves us with an everlasting love that never fails. While others may run out on you, His love remains, unshakeable and unchanging.

A Private Audience!

A hostile world! I call to God, I cry to God to help me. From his palace he hears my call; my cry brings me right into his presence— a private audience! Psalm 18:6 (The Message) We have a private audience with the LORD, our God. Your Creator has His eye on you. Our heavenly Father watches over you for good, not harm. His ear is attuned to our voices. He hears your call from His throne room. Your cry brings you right into His glorious Presence. Approach His throne of grace with confidence, in order to receive mercy and find grace to help you in your time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

Hand of Blessing

LORD, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, LORD. You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Psalm 139:1-5 (NLT) The LORD goes before you and smoothes out the rough places. He is also behind you, covering you in the back. His hand of blessing rests upon your head. “The LORD bless you and watch over you. The LORD will smile on you and show you His kindness. The LORD will look on you with favor and give you peace,” (Numbers 6:24-26). It pleases God to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, you will have all that you need. You were called so that you may inherit a blessing. Receive your blessing from our heavenly Father.

Stay on His Path

"For I have stayed on God’s paths; I have followed his ways and not turned aside. I have not departed from his commands, but have treasured his words more than daily food." Job 23:11-12 (NLT) Job 1:1 describes Job as blameless and upright. In the midst of his suffering Job worshiped God. Job went through severe trials, to include physical infirmity, the loss of his children and his possessions, but the LORD blessed the latter part of Job's life more than the first (Job 42:12). The LORD made him prosperous again and gave him twice as much as he had before (Job 42:10). Let us be like Job and stay on God's path, closely following His steps. May we treasure His Words more than the food we eat. Amen.
