Perhaps you will be hidden [and pardoned and rescued] in the day of the LORD’s anger. (Zephaniah 2:3 AMP) ...you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. ...

Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head, and he fell to the ground and worshiped. And he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I shall return there. Yahweh gave, and Yahweh has taken away. Blessed be the name of Yahweh.” — Job 1:20-21 (LSB) Job received one bad report after another. First, he was notified that all of his oxen and donkeys were taken and his servants with them killed. Then he was told, all of his sheep and his servants with them were burned up in a fire. Thirdly, he found out his camels were taken and his servants with them killed. In addition to all of that, he received the bad news that all ten of his children were dead. (See Job 1:14-19) Faced with all this devastation, Job 1:22 says: Through all this Job did not sin, nor did he give offense to God. Instead of getting an attitude and blaming God, He fell to the ground in submission and humility and worshiped Yahweh. How can we continue to worship God in the midst of tragedy and loss? First,...

Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes. — Romans 12:2 (TPT) In order to seek God’s will we need to spend time with Him in prayer and regularly read the Holy Scriptures. We will be progressively transformed as we renew our minds, and bring our thoughts into alignment with the Word of God. This will empower us to discern what the will of God is, instead of imitating the world around us. As we submit ourselves to Him, His Holy Spirit will lead us and guide us to do the right thing at the right time. 

Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, the God who is our salvation. Selah — Psalm 68:19 (NASB) Are you worried and troubled about so many things? …Yeshua said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) The burdens we face are too heavy for us to carry. That is why the Lord tells us to cast all our cares on Him. He cares for us. “In fact, God wants to help you out of your troubles. He wants to take away your burdens that are crushing you. He wants to load your table with plenty of food.” (Job 36:16 ERV) He will prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies (Psalm 23:5) In Matthew 11:28-30 (MSG), Yeshua says: “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company...

Yahweh is my best friend and my shepherd. I always have more than enough. He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace near the quiet brook of bliss. That’s where he restores and revives my life. (Matthew 6:33 NLT) For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows grace and favor and honor; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. (Psalm 84:11 AMP) Strive for His way of doing and being right. When we reflect the character and nature of our heavenly Father, we bring honor to His name.

Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face continually. — Psalm 105:4 NASB Oh give thanks to the LORD, call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples. Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; Speak of all His wonders. Glory in His holy name; Let the heart of those who seek the LORD be glad. (Psalm 105:1-3 NASB)  May we daily seek the LORD, and His will. “ You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. ” — Jeremiah 29:13 (NASB)

And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba, Father.” — Galatians 4:6 (NLT) May we set our affections on our heavenly Father, as His affections are upon us. His faithful love endures forever (1 Chronicles 16:34 NLT). He did not create us and leave us to our own devices. Instead, He is with us, as our constant Companion, to lead us and guide us along on the path that leads to abundant life. He is continually attentive to every detail of our lives, right down to the number of hairs on your head. Our mighty God is our protection and our Provider. He watches over us, and is always ready to rescue. He delivers us from all our troubles. At each and every sunrise we will be thanking you for your kindness and your love. As the sun sets and all through the night, we will keep proclaiming, “ You are so faithful! ” (Psalm 92:2 TPT) …I’ll keep coming closer and closer to you, Lord Yahweh, for your name is good to me. ...

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. — Romans 15:13 (NLT) “ Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance. ” (Isaiah 55:2 NKJV) Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! (Psalm 34:8) Seek the LORD while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. (Isaiah 55:6) The Lord always keeps his promises; he is gracious in all he does (Psalm 145:13b NLT). He satisfies the desire of every living thing. (Psalm 145:16 NKJV) May you go out with everlasting joy and be led forth with perfect peace, as you trust in our great and mighty God.

Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture… — Romans 8:35 (MSG) When challenges come don’t draw back or drift away from our heavenly Father. And make sure you avoid taking any of the devil’s detours. Instead, draw closer to God, knowing that no trial, tribulation or trouble can separate you from the love of Christ. None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us. (Romans 8:37-39 MSG)

But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted. — 1 Peter 2:9-10 (MSG) We are loved, chosen and accepted by the Creator of the universe. Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love (Ephesians 1:4 MSG). God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure (Ephesians 1:5 NLT). Our enemy wants us to feel rejected, belittled, small and insignificant, etc. to keep us from speaking out about our great God and Father. But we are sons and daughters of Almighty God, and we have been chosen for a high calling. Just as Jesus said in Luke 2:49,...

In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created. — Genesis 5:1b-2 (NKJV) Guess what? If you belong to the human race, you are blessed by God! When God created human beings, He blessed the whole human race. Psalm 144:3 says, LORD, what is man, that You take knowledge of him? Or the son of man, that You are mindful of him? He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4). No matter what lies the enemy tells you, remember that God loves you and He is working everything together for good! (Romans 8:28) Let us count our blessings, starting with the fact that we woke up this morning. Amen!

For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.  — Psalm 30:5 (NKJV) God changes our sorrow into dancing. He takes away our clothes of sadness, and clothes us in happiness (Psalm 30:11, NCV). When we go through our dark nights, we can be sure that  the bright light of morning will soon appear. The sun will rise again and break through the clouds of gloom. Just as sunshine comes after the rain, there will be joy after the pain!

“When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.” - Matthew 12:43-45 (NIV) When the devil comes knocking at your door of your house, let him find it full of the Holy Spirit of the living God. May your house be in order and full of light, love, unity and peace. Make sure it is a place of prayer and praise!

It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God. 2 Corinthians 3:5 (NLT) Let us be like the Apostle Paul and acknowledge that our qualifications, abilities and strength come from God, our awesome Creator. Why burn yourself out trying to accomplish things with your limited human capabilities? Draw wisdom, power and strength from the unlimited source of God's Holy Spirit within you. Make the best use of the talents He has given you and then remember to give God all the glory in your success.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. Revelation 3:20 (NKJ) Let's not think our Christian duty is done when we leave church on Sunday morning. That warm, cozy feeling we get when come together and worship often dissipates before we make it out of the parking lot. There are 10,080 minutes in a week. What can be said in a 60-minute service that will sustain you for the rest of the 10,020 minutes? We must dine daily with the King of kings to get the strength we need to stand victorious in the trials and temptations we face. Sit at His feet, like Mary, and feast on His Word everyday. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God. Genesis 6:9 (NIV) God warned Noah to build an ark because He was going to flood the earth. Due to Noah's obedience, him and his family was saved from the calamity that came upon the earth. Likewise, God is able to protect you from the situations of this world. When we walk with God and trust Him to guide us along on the path He has for us everything will be okay. Love, Jackie
