Never Lose Hope

Image
“ I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living. ” — Psalms 27:13 (LSB) “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD. (Jeremiah 17:7 NKJV) In the day of despair, gloom, and doom, keep your hope in Yahweh alive and active. As for me, I will hope continually, and will praise Him yet more and more. (See Psalms 71:14 NKJV) “Here’s what I’ve learned through it all: Don’t give up; don’t be impatient; be entwined as one with the Lord. Be brave and courageous, and never lose hope. Yes, keep on waiting—for he will never disappoint you!” (Psalms 27:14 TPT)  The LORD God of Heaven’s Armies is entirely faithful. And His faithfulness extends to every generation... (See Psalms 89:8 & 119:90 NLT) He watches over His Word to perform it. What He has spoken shall be done. Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the LORD. (Psalms 31:24 NKJV)

No Favoritism

Image
Opening his mouth, Peter said: “Most certainly I understand now that God is not one to show partiality [to people as though Gentiles were excluded from God’s blessing],” — Acts 10:34 (AMP) Yahweh shows no favoritism. The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9 NASB1995) For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16 NKJV) Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, (Acts 3:19 NKJV) “O LORD, the God of Israel, there is no god like You in heaven or on earth, keeping covenant and showing lovingkindness to Your servants who walk before You with all their heart; You alone know the hearts of the sons of men. May all the peoples of the earth know Your name, and fear You as do Y...

Be Wholly Devoted

Image
“so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God; there is no one else. Let your heart therefore be wholly devoted to the LORD our God, to walk in His statutes and to keep His commandments, as at this day.” — 1 Kings 8:60-61 (NASB1995) Jesus answered and said to them, “See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. (Matthew 24:4-5, 11 NASB1995) Do not be deceived. Look away from all the distractions and keep your eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. (See Hebrews 12:2) Let us incline our hearts to Yahweh and be wholly devoted to Him. Proverbs 4:23 (NLT) says to guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. “What I say to you I say to everyone, ‘Be on the alert [stay awake and be continually cautious]!’” (Mark 13:37 AMP) For you do not know the day, nor the hour of our Lord's return.

He Guides

Image
He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me . — Psalm 23:3-4 (NLT) No matter how dark the valley we go through, the LORD, our Shepherd, is with us. He is close to us, and will never abandons us. Don’t be like Peter and follow at a distance. (See Matthew 26:58) Stay close to Him and follow His lead. His marvelous light will reveal what you need to know, as you take each step in faith. Our ever-present God will guide you on the true and right paths. Submit to Abba Father and be filled with His perfect peace, strength, and comfort as He leads you through each and every situation you encounter. “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you...

Follow His Way

Image
“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” — Isaiah 55:8-9 (NLT) In our limited human perspective, our way often seems easier, faster, or better, but God’s way is always BEST. Seek His way, at all times, and daily renew your mind with the Word of God to elevate your thoughts. Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. (Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT) “He makes my feet like the doe’s feet [firm and swift]; He sets me [secure and confident] on my high places.” — 2 Samuel 22:34 (AMP)

Set Your Hope

Image
As for the rich in this present world, instruct them not to be conceited and arrogant, nor to set their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly and ceaselessly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. — 1 Timothy 6:17 (AMP) Set your hope on God. The things of this world are temporary, but our great and awesome God is eternal and His Word stands forever. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. (Romans 5:5 NLT) The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9 NASB)  …so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, — Philippians 2:10 (NASB)

He will Make a Way

Image
“ Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. ” — Isaiah 43:18-19 (NKJV) When there seems to be no way out of a challenging situation, you can be certain the LORD will make a way. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His ways higher than our ways, and His thoughts than our thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9) God is my strength and power, and He makes my way perfect. (Samuel 22:33 NKJV) Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. — Psalm 25:4-5 (NLT)

Wait & Worship

Image
For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him! — Isaiah 64:4  (NLT) When you have done all you can do, wait patiently for God to act on your behalf. Wait with great expectation of the mighty work He will do in your midst. Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD! (Psalm 27:14 NKJV) Instead of worrying about “when” and “how” while you wait, worship Him. The LORD favors those who fear and worship Him [with awe-inspired reverence and obedience], those who wait for His mercy and lovingkindness. (Psalm 147:11 AMP) Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. (Psalm 62:5 NLT)

A Good Word

Image
Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, but a good word makes it glad. — Proverbs 12:25 (NKJV) Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down (Proverbs 12:25a AMP), and the good word that makes it glad is God’s Word. Philippians 4:6-7 (AMP) says, do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].

Opportunity Abounds

Image
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. — James 1:2-3 (NLT) When troubles of any kind come your way, there exists a opportunity for advancement and success. Your perseverance leads to your perfection. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything (James 1:4 NIV). The challenges we face, are opportunities for God to show Himself strong and mighty on our behalf. Any obstacle we face gives us a chance to strengthen our faith. They remind us that we walk by faith and not by what we see. What appears to be a drawback is really a set-up for your success.

Have a Heart

Image
And I will give them one heart [a new heart] and I will put a new spirit within them; and I will take the stony [unnaturally hardened] heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh [sensitive and responsive to the touch of their God], — Ezekiel 11:19 (AMP) It’s unnatural for children of God to have a hard heart because our heavenly Father is love (1 John 4:16). As members of God’s family, we are to have soft, healthy hearts, that are sensitive and responsive to the touch of God. Instead of cold, hard hearts infested with jealousy, envy and bitterness, our hearts of flesh are to be full of love, compassion and empathy, more concerned about the needs of those around us than your own. Have a tender heart that loves God and loves people. Amen!

Choose Joy!

Image
“Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the LORD is your strength!” — Nehemiah 8:10 (NLT) Don’t let the enemy steal your joy. It is your strength to go the distance with God. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy is supposed to come in the morning. The joy of knowing that God is with you and He has brought you to another day. This is the day which the Lord has brought about; we will rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118:24 AMP). Amen!

Better than Life

Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.  — Psalm 63:3-4 (NIV) The LORD crowns us with love and compassion (Psalm 103:4). He pours His unfailing love upon us each and every day. If we didn't have His love, our lives would not be worth living. Praise God for His everlasting love and compassion!

Fruitful in Affliction

And the name of the second (son) he called Ephraim: “For God has caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.” — Genesis 41:52 (NKJV) In spite of being sold into slavery by his brothers and falsely accused by His master's wife, God caused Joseph to be fruitful in the land of his affliction. The situations that cause you the greatest distress or suffering can also cause you to be more productive and fruitful. The land of your affliction can be the place of your greatest blessing and victory. We can grow stronger and stronger in the midst of adversity and opposition. Amen!

Give Thanks!

You are my God, and I will praise you! You are my God, and I will exalt you! Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. Psalm 118:28-29 (NLT) Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, all the time! Each and every day God faithfully pours His love and compassion upon us. What great love the Father lavishes on us, that we are called children of God! (1 John 3:1) Thank our heavenly Father for bringing us into His family and always taking care of us as His dearly beloved children.

To the Rescue

The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time. Psalm 34:19 (NLT) When the storms of life hit and the floodwaters threaten to swallow you up, remember, the Lord is faithful. He comes to the rescue each and every time. Call upon the Lord. He is our life preserver. Amen.

His Consolation Brings Joy

When I said, "My foot is slipping," your love, O LORD, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul. Psalm 94:18-19 (NIV) An anxious heart weighs a man down (Proverbs 12:25). Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, cast all your anxiety on the LORD, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). After you give all your cares to the LORD, His consolation will bring joy to your soul. Love, Jackie
