Manna for Your Morning

“One day we will each be swept away into the sleep of death. We glide along through the tides of time— so quickly gone, like a dream that fades at dawn, like glistening grass that springs up one day and is dry and withered the next, ready to be cut down!” — Psalms‬ ‭90‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭(TPT‬‬) The number of our days have already been determined. All of the days ordained for each person were written in His book before we drew our first breath. (See Psalms 139:16) I have five full decades behind me, and have embarked into the sixth. Sounds like a long time, but oh, how brief it seems. James 4:14 says: Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while , then it’s gone. What we do in that “little while” matters. May Yahweh teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom. (See Psalms 90:12 NLT) He will guide us with His counsel, and lead us to a glorious destiny. We humans keep brainstorming options and plans, but God’s purpose prevails. — Proverbs 19:21 (MSG) God has a perfect plan for each and every person. And Jesus gave His life to save us and empower us to fulfill it. The LORD has a good plan for each one of us. He created us with purpose and a glorious destiny. As we follow His Word and are led by His Holy Spirit, He will take us from one glory to another level of glory. When we let the devil or our flesh, lure us off the path that leads to everlasting life and a more abundant life here on earth,  we are making detours away from His good and perfect plan. But no matter where we are today and no matter what poor decisions we have made in the past, God will work everything together for good. Choose today, to follow God and serve Him only.

You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. — Psalm 139:16 (NLT) Every moment of our lives matter because God took the time to record each day and lay our lives out moment by moment. He intentionally made all the delicate, inner parts of our bodies and knit us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). He did this with purpose and His plan for our lives is good. Though our journey will take us through all kinds of seasons, we have a glorious destiny awaiting us. May we seek His will, as we plan our days and our lives. The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of His heart from generation to generation.  (Psalm 33:11 NASB) Let us submit to the authority of God’s Word and be led by His Holy Spirit, in word and action, because every moment of life He gives us matter.

You guide me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny. — Psalm 73:23-24 (NLT) When we feel inadequate to perform our God-given assignments, it’s because we are looking at ourselves, instead of our awesome God. One of the greatest pitfalls is for us to be preoccupied with self. Whatever God has called you to, realize, it’s not about you. It’s much bigger than you, and it has eternal consequences. Keep your eyes on the LORD and let Him be your guide. In Him, we live, move and have our being (Acts 17:28). When we focus on God, His faithfulness, and His mighty power, we will rise above the daily circumstances and live in peace and joy, knowing that nothing is too difficult for our great God!

Each day has a destiny, a desired end result and as we continually follow Him, He will get us there. May the words we speak today and whatever we do, touch the lives of others with the love of God. Make each stroke of the paintbrush you put on the canvas of today a reflection of the beauty and grace of our heavenly Father. Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass (Psalm 37:5 NKJV).

We belong to the LORD, our Creator and heavenly Father. We are continually with Him. He takes us by the hand and leads us in all wisdom, power and truth. God knows what each and every day holds for us and He has given us exactly what we need. We are to take every step in faith, with purpose, and according to His plan. The LORD's plans for you are for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11 NLT). The LORD will work out his plans for your life—(Psalm 138:8 NLT). His plans stand firm forever; his intentions can never be shaken (Psalm 33:11 NLT). The LORD's purpose will prevail (Proverbs 19:21). Glory hallelujah!
