With God’s Help

Image
“Oh, please help us against our enemies, for all human help is useless. With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes.” — Psalms 60:11-12 (NLT) God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! Interlude (Psalms 46:1-3 NLT) Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us]. (See Romans 8:37 AMP) …thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us spreads and makes evident everywhere the sweet fragrance of the knowledge of Him. (2 Corinthians 2:14 AMP) Where he leads, let us be sure to follow.

He has Spoken

Image
The LORD, the Mighty One, is God, and he has spoken; he has summoned all humanity from where the sun rises to where it sets. — Psalms 50:1 (NLT) Yahweh is always speaking. Today if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as the Israelites did when they rebelled, when they tested Yahweh in the wilderness. (See Hebrews 3:7-8) May our ears be tuned in to hear His still small voice and our hearts be soft and pliable in His hands.  I will hear what the True God—the Eternal—will say, for He will speak peace over His people, peace over those who faithfully follow Him, [but do not let them abuse His gift and return to foolish ways]. Surely His salvation is near to those who [reverently] fear Him [and obey Him with submissive wonder], that glory [the manifest presence of God] may dwell in our land. (Psalms 85:8-9 VOICE/AMP)

Trust in His Name

Image
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we will remember and trust in the name of the LORD our God. — Psalms 20:7 (AMP) Instead of relying on the systems of this world, remember and trust in the name of Yahweh, our God. He is El Roi, The God Who Sees me. (See Genesis 16:13) Just as He saw Hagar wandering in the wilderness, He sees you and is aware of your struggles. Call upon Yahweh. Our help is in the name of the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. (Psalms 124:8 NASB1995)  For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13 NKJV) He is also Jehovah-Jireh, The-LORD-Will-Provide. (See Genesis 22:14) And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19 NASB1995) Amen. O Yahweh, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth! (Psalms 8:9 LSB) I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify Your name forevermore. (Psalms 86:12 NKJV) And those who know Your name will put their tr...

Don't Grow Weary

Image
Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give in. — Galatians 6:9 (AMP) God says, “At the time I have planned, I will bring justice against the wicked. When the earth quakes and its people live in turmoil, I am the one who keeps its foundations firm.” (Psalm 75:2-3 NLT) Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good! (Psalm 53:1 NLT) Yahweh has a set time for judgement and justice to be executed. The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. (2 Peter 3:9) God looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God. (Psalm 53:2) For God says, “I will break the strength of the wicked, but I will increase the power of the godly.” (Psalm 75:10) Keep fighting ...

Fully Commit

Image
God has looked down from heaven upon the children of men to see if there is anyone who understands, who seeks after God [who requires Him, who longs for Him as essential to life]. — Psalm 53:2 (AMP) People can be so concerned with their outer appearance, “ But I, the LORD, search all hearts and examine secret motives .” (See Jeremiah 17:10 NLT) We can fool people, but never God, our Creator. He knows us better than we know ourselves. In Matthew 23:28, Jesus said: “ Outwardly you look like righteous people, but inwardly your hearts are filled with hypocrisy and lawlessness .” Our heavenly Father is more concerned about our inner condition, than our superficial, external image. Today and every day, make a dedicated decision to be wholeheartedly devoted to the LORD. He is absolutely essential. The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. — 2 Chronicles 16:9a (NLT)

Wait Patiently

Image
Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD. — Psalm 27:14 (NLT) The Word of God says wait, not worry. Don't wonder " why ?" or " when ?" Don't wander away from our Heavenly Father and His will. Instead, wait patiently and with great expectation upon the LORD. …those who wait for Yahweh’s grace will experience divine strength. They will rise up on soaring wings and fly like eagles, run their race without growing weary, and walk through life without giving up. (Isaiah 40:31 TPT)

Love the LORD

Image
You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and mind and with all your soul and with all your strength [your entire being] . — Deuteronomy 6:5 (AMP) As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall I come and appear before God? (Psalm 42:1-2 NASB)  O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; my soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. (Psalm 63:1) Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips will praise You. So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. (Psalm 63:3-4 NASB) You satisfy me more than the richest feast. I will praise you with songs of joy. (Psalm 63:5 NLT) I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken. — Psalm 62:1-2 (NLT)

Build on the Rock!

Image
When the whirlwind passes by, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation. — Proverbs 10:25 (NKJV) In Jesus we have a sure foundation. We don’t have to fear when the storms come because the godly have an everlasting foundation. Jesus is our firm foundation, and we will not be moved. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 3:11) In Luke 6:47-48 (NKJV), Jesus said: “ Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. ” Build on the Rock!

God Enters

Image
We’re free of it! All of us! Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of his face. And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him. — 2 Corinthians 3:17-18 (MSG) Let there be nothing between you and God. Only our Creator knows us better than we know ourselves. He formed us in our mother's womb (Psalm 139:13) Open the door of your heart and let God enter those rooms that you have padlocked shut. Let His glory bring light to the dark areas. We become more and more like Him as we allow Him to enter the crevices of our hearts and perform His restoration project. He takes lives that have been seemingly reduced to rubble and transforms them into lives full of His beauty and glory, as we allow Him to work in us, and through us.

Do Something Beautiful

Image
Since prayer is at the bottom of all this, what I want mostly is for men to pray—not shaking angry fists at enemies but raising holy hands to God. And I want women to get in there with the men in humility before God, not primping before a mirror or chasing the latest fashions but doing something beautiful for God and becoming beautiful doing it. — 1 Timothy 2:8-10 (MSG) As we pray, we let go of the worries of this world and embrace the power of God that is able to move mountains and destroy yokes. Prayer and praise release the power of God to change circumstances. It ushers in His Presence and opens our hearts to Him, so the Holy Spirit can work in us and through us. Psalm 33:1 (NKJV) says, praise from the upright is beautiful. As we pray and praise our heavenly Father, we let the light and love of God shine through us, and we illuminate the world around us with the beauty of the LORD. Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant, and praise is ...

This Hope

Image
We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, — Hebrews 6:19 (NIV) We have this living hope in Almighty God and all that He has made available to us through Christ (not only abundant life here on earth but eternal life in His Presence). This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls (Hebrews 6:19 NLT). It gives us weight to remain stable in God and not be tossed to and fro by the undercurrents of life. When adverse winds arise, this anchor will keep us from drifting away. This hope goes behind the veil, and enters God’s inner sanctuary, right to the very presence of God where Jesus, running on ahead of us, has taken up his permanent post as high priest for us. (Hebrews 6:20 MSG)

Gratefully Recognize His Benefits

Image
…as the Scripture says, What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed]. — 1 Corinthians 2:9 (AMP) Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits (Psalm 103:2). We have so much to thank God for. He redeems our lives from destruction. He heals all our diseases and forgives all our iniquities. (Psalm 103:3-4). He woke us up this morning and sustains us with His breath of life. Today and everyday, we can also gratefully recognize our Moms. Thank God for the woman who gave birth to you, and for all the women who served as “Mother” in your life. Happy Mother's Day to all the women who have loved, supported and encouraged others.

A Strong Tower

Image
For You have been a shelter for me, a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Selah — Psalm 61:3-4 (NKJV) When the storms of life hit, our mighty God is a safe refuge. He is a strong tower to shelter us from the storm. We have been given free access and a standing invitation, let us dwell in Him at all times. Draw near unto the LORD and trust Him. Trust in His power to protect you from the adversary. In Him we are safe. The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe (Proverbs 18:10).

A Thirst for the Living God!

As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?  — Psalm 42:1-2 (NIV) When you thirst for water nothing else will satisfy, not a cold glass of milk or a cup of hot tea. When our soul longs for the presence of God, nothing else will satisfy. Some try to fill the emptiness with alcohol or drugs, but nothing will satisfy and quench our thirst like the Presence of Almighty God. Our God is ALIVE! and He is ABLE to take care of everything that concerns you. What are you waiting for? Thirst no more. He is ready to meet with YOU now!

Every Perfect Gift

My dear brothers and sisters, don’t be fooled. Every good present and every perfect gift comes from above, from the Father who made the sun, moon, and stars. The Father doesn’t change like the shifting shadows produced by the sun and the moon. — James 1:16-17 (GW) Our heavenly Father is good all the time. The plans He has for us are plans for good and not for disaster, to give us a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Everything He does is motivated by the great love he has for us, His children. God is love and He does not change. He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just (Deuteronomy 32:4). Praise the Lord!

Abundant in Mercy

For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You. Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer; And attend to the voice of my supplications. Psalm 86:5-6 (NKJ) God is so good. He is always ready to forgive our transgressions. When we confess our sins, He is faithful to forgive them and separates them from us, as far as the east is from the west. God is abundant in mercy and lovingkindness to everyone who calls upon Him. His ear is open to your prayers and He hears your urgent cry. Approach God's throne today and receive His marvelous mercy.

In His Presence

Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope. For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:9-11 (NKJ) Let your heart be glad and rest in hope for the LORD will not abandon you to the grave. He will show you the path that leads to a full and eternal life. In His Presence we are filled with joy and experience the pleasures of living with the LORD forever.

He Comforts His People

As a mother comforts her child so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem. Isaiah 66:13 (NIV) Just like a mother so lovingly comforts her child, our heavenly Father comforts us in all our troubles. May you receive all the comfort you need from the unfailing love of God. Love, Jackie
