Rest

Image
Then Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.” He said this because there were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn’t even have time to eat.” — Mark‬ ‭6‬:‭31‬ ‭(NLT‬‬) The demands of this world would have us constantly coming and going. Sometimes we need to unwind and unplug. Let us remember to retreat to a quiet place and rest. For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel: “In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.” But you would not,” (Isaiah‬ ‭30‬:‭15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬) “Quiet your heart in his presence and wait patiently for Yahweh…” (See Psalms‬ ‭37‬:‭7‬ ‭TPT‬‬) “Return to your rest, O my soul, for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you. For You have rescued my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. I shall walk before the LORD In the land of the living.” — Psalms‬ ‭116‬:‭7‬-‭9‬ ‭(NASB1995‬‬)

Bless Yahweh

Image
Bless Yahweh, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless Yahweh, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits; — Psalms 103:1-2 (LSB) The LORD is mindful of us. He pardons all our iniquities. He heals all our diseases. He redeems our lives from the pit and crowns us with lovingkindness and compassion. He satisfies our years with good things, so that our youth is renewed like the eagle. (See Psalms 103:3-5 LSB) Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort. He comforts and encourages us in every trouble… (See 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 AMP) He guides us along the best pathway for our lives. He advises and watches over us. (See Psalm 32:8 NLT) God richly and ceaselessly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. (1 Timothy 6:17 AMP)  The LORD lives, and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of my salvation, (Psalms 18:46 NASB1995). I will bless Yahweh at all times; His pra...

We Overcome

Image
And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death. — Revelation 12:11 (NASB1995) We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. (2 Corinthians 4:8-9 NLT) Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us]. (Romans 8:37 AMP) Always be willing to share your testimony of what the Lord has done for you and do not love your life more than you love our Lord & Savior. Thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ. (See 2 Corinthians 2:14 NASB1995) Amen.

Press On!

Image
Five times I received from the Jews thirty-nine lashes. Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, a night and a day I have spent in the deep. I have been on frequent journeys, in dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my countrymen, dangers from the Gentiles, dangers in the city, dangers in the wilderness, dangers on the sea, dangers among false brethren; I have been in labor and hardship, through many sleepless nights, in hunger and thirst, often without food, in cold and exposure. — 2 Corinthians 11:24-27 (NASB1995) Despite all of the difficulties, the Apostle Paul went through, he made a decision to press on. In Philippians 3:12-13 (NASB1995), he says: Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behi...

He’s Coming!

Image
“I kept looking in the night visions, and behold, on the clouds of heaven One like a Son of Man was coming, and He came up to the Ancient of Days and was presented before Him. “And to Him (the Messiah) was given dominion (supreme authority), glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations, and speakers of every language should serve and worship Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which will not pass away; and His kingdom is one which will not be destroyed.” — Daniel 7:13-14 (AMP) “Expect to witness amazing and perplexing signs with the sun, the moon, and the stars. The raging of the sea will bring desperation and turmoil to many nations. Earthquakes will bring panic and disaster. What men see coming to the earth will cause the fear of doom to grip their hearts, for they will even see the powers of the heavenly realm shaken! And at last, when you see how the Son of Man comes—surrounded with a cloud, with great power and miracles, in the radiance of his splendor, and with gre...

Strength & Peace

Image
The LORD will give strength to His people; The LORD will bless His people with peace. — Psalm 29:11 (NASB)  The LORD is our Source of strength and everlasting peace. No matter what earthly circumstances come, you can remain in peace because our help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth! (See Psalm 121:2 NLT) Jehovah himself will watch over you; he’s always at your side to shelter you safely in his presence. He’s protecting you from all danger both day and night. (Psalm 121:5-6 TPT) The Eternal will keep you safe from all of life’s evils, from your first breath to the last breath you breathe, from this day and forever. (Psalm 121:7-8 VOICE) “ Don’t be afraid, for you are very precious to God. Peace! Be encouraged! Be strong! ” (from Daniel 10:19a)

Heal & Help

Image
Kind words heal and help; cutting words wound and maim. — Proverbs 15:4 (MSG) Choose very carefully the words that come from your mouth. Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit—you choose. (Proverbs 18:21 MSG) Words contain power to build relationships and bring healing to a hurting heart. Encouraging words strengthen and give life, but negative, critical words hurt and wound the spirit. Nothing is more appealing than speaking beautiful, life-giving words. For they release sweetness to our souls and inner healing to our spirits. (Proverbs 16:24 TPT) May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer. — Psalm 19:14 (NLT)

Live in Faith

Image
for we walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises] — 2 Corinthians 5:7 (AMP) When Mary Magdalene told the disciples that Jesus was alive and she had seen him, they didn’t believe her. (Mark 16:11) Don’t be a doubting disciple. In John 20:29, Jesus said, “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” In John 14:1, Jesus said, “ Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. ” May we confidently believe that Jesus is alive, willing and more than able to handle whatever concerns us. He is our mighty Savior and everlasting King. He rules and reigns in power and glory. He has overcome the world. Let us live in faith (a confident belief), that in Jesus, we have the victory.

Come, because He Cares

Image
God is all strength for his people, ample refuge for his chosen leader; Save your people and bless your heritage. Care for them; carry them like a good shepherd. — Psalm 28:8-9 MSG My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “LORD, I am coming.” (Psalm 27:8 NLT) God tells us to come to Him, casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]. (1 Peter 5:7 AMP)

Father of Compassion & Comfort

Image
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.  — 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NIV) Our heavenly Father is full of compassion and the source of all comfort. We can know that we know, our God is faithful. He is no respecter of persons and He does not change. What He does for one, He will do for all. If we fall, our merciful Father is there to catch us in His arms. In all of our troubles He is there to comfort us. He is the excellent role model for us. As He is compassionate and comforts us, likewise we can be there for others when they are troubled, and going through hard times.

Live a Happy Life!

Image
Honor his holy name with Hallelujahs, you who seek God. Live a happy life! Keep your eyes open for God, watch for his works; be alert for signs of his presence. Remember the world of wonders he has made, his miracles, and the verdicts he’s rendered — Psalm 105:3-5 (MSG) How do we live a happy life? Stay in continual fellowship with our Creator. He is our constant Companion on this journey of life. And He has a never-ending supply of ALL that we need: love, peace, wisdom, joy, comfort, direction, clarity, etc. Always be alert for signs of His powerful Presence.

Don’t be Surprised!

Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world. — 1 Peter 4:12-13 (NLT) The NAS version says, the fiery ordeals come upon us for our testing. How will we ever know if we believe what we say we believe, if our faith is never tested? The fiery ordeals serve to burn away the impurities and strengthen our resolve. May we endure the hardships, knowing that after we have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, will restore, support, and strengthen us, and place us on a firm foundation (1 Peter 5:10). Glory hallelujah!

What the LORD has Done!

For You have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.  — Psalm 116:8-9 (NKJV) The LORD has delivered our souls from the pit of hell. He saved our eyes from tears. We shall reap a harvest of joy for the tears that have been sowed (Psalm 126:5). And our attentive heavenly Father, also keeps our feet from stumbling and falling, as we follow Him. Walk in the LORD’s Presence every moment of every day, as you fulfill God's purpose for your life here on earth!

Keep Calling

The ropes of death became tangled around me. The horrors of the grave took hold of me. I experienced pain and agony. But I kept calling on the name of the LORD: “Please, Lord, rescue me!” Psalm 116:3-4 (GW) Whatever troubles you may be experiencing, remember to call on the name of the LORD. And keep calling, don't give up. Here is what God says about the person who loves Him, “ Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation, ” (Psalm 91:14-15 ). Call on the LORD as long as you live!

Trust in the Name

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm. Psalm 20:7-8 (NIV) Instead of trusting in your possessions, put your trust in the powerful name of the LORD. There is wonder-working power in the name that stands above all names. Lean on the LORD and He will give you the strength to rise up and stand firm.

Be Like Him

You are God's children whom he loves, so try to be like him. Live a life of love just as Christ loved us and gave himself for us as a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifice to God. Ephesians 5:1-2 (NCV) As those who are dearly loved by God, let us live a life of love. Instead of keeping a record of the wrongs done to us, may we forgive and let go of all offenses. Let us love not only with words but with our actions, doing whatever we can to bless others. Then we will be more like our heavenly Father. Amen. Love, Jackie

"Lord, help me!"

The woman came and knelt before him. "Lord, help me!" she said. Matthew 15:25 (NIV) The Canaanite woman humbled herself before the Lord and pleaded for help. As a result, her daughter was healed. When you need help (which is always), kneel down before the Lord and ask Him. James 4:2 says you do not have because you do not ask God. Love, Jackie
