Travel the Right Path

Image
“Jeremiah, say to the people, ‘This is what the LORD says: “‘When people fall down, don’t they get up again? When they discover they’re on the wrong road, don’t they turn back? Then why do these people stay on their self-destructive path? Why do the people of Jerusalem refuse to turn back? They cling tightly to their lies and will not turn around. I listen to their conversations and don’t hear a word of truth. Is anyone sorry for doing wrong? Does anyone say, “What a terrible thing I have done”? No! All are running down the path of sin as swiftly as a horse galloping into battle!” — Jeremiah 8:4-6 (NLT) This is what the LORD says: “Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it. Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls. But you reply, ‘No, that’s not the road we want!’” (Jeremiah 6:16 NLT) Yahweh will make known to you the path of life. (See Psalms 16:11a) May we have the wisdom to walk on it.  The path of life leads up...

Live in the Light

Image
Now this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you—that God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with Him and keep walking in the darkness, we are lying and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of His Son Yeshua purifies us from all sin. — 1 John 1:5-7 (TLV) “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, they put it on a lampstand so it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men so they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16 TLV) Let us live in the light of the Lord and bring glory to the Kingdom of God. In Him, we have the light of life, the light of love, and the light of hope.

Boast Only in the LORD

Image
Thus says the LORD, “Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things,” declares the LORD. — Jeremiah 9:23-24 (NASB1995) Psalm 94:4 (NKJV) says: All the workers of iniquity boast in themselves. Who or what do you boast about? The wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. The Lord knows the reasonings of the wise, that they are useless. So then let no one boast in men. (See 1 Corinthians 3:19-21 NASB1995) Rather, boast in Yahweh. For He is not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, nor shall evil dwell with Him. The boastful shall not stand in His sight… (See Psalm 5:4-5 NKJV) He delights in lovingkindness, justice and righteousness. May our greatest pursuit be to understand and know Yahweh, to become more like Him and...

God is Good!

Image
Taste and see that the LORD is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! Fear the LORD, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need. Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the LORD will lack no good thing. — Psalm 34:8-10 (NLT) In the midst of difficulties and hardships, never doubt the goodness of God. For the LORD is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation. (Psalm 100:5 NLT) The LORD is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. (Psalm 25:8 NLT) The righteous person faces many troubles, but the LORD comes to the rescue each time. (Psalm 34:19 NLT) I will praise the LORD at all times. I will constantly speak his praises. (Psalm 34:1 NLT) The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. (Psalm 34:17-18 ...

He’s Working

Image
For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. — Philippians 2:13 (NLT) In Luke 6:37 (NLT), Jesus said, “Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn others, or it will all come back against you. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven.” Forgiveness is so important that Jesus said, in Mark 11:25 (NLT), “…when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.” He also said, “…if you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering.” (Matthew 5:23-24 NASB)  The Holy Spirit Who dwells in believers, empowers us to do what pleases our heavenly Father, so let us always forgive and seek reconciliation. Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separa...
