Manna for Your Morning

Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. — 1 Timothy 6:17 (NLT) As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. (Psalm 18:30 NKJV) No matter what we have or who we are, our trust should be in God. Our circumstances are temporary. Yahweh is eternal. Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah (Psalms 62:8 NKJV) The things of this world will eventually pass away. Yahweh is the Everlasting God. …it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all Your works. (Psalms 73:28 NKJV) Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. — Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)

Because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me—to keep me from exalting myself! — 2 Corinthians 12:7 (NASB1995) Concerning this thorn, Paul says, three different times, he begged the Lord to take it away. And the Lord said, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Paul adds: “So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.” (See 2 Corinthians 12:8-9) What kinds of challenges may God be allowing in our lives to keep us from becoming prideful and arrogant? What prickly situation is calling for patience and perseverance? May we never think more highly of ourselves than we ought to. Everything we have, and all of our talents and abilities, we have received from Elohim, our Creator. And He imparts His grace to empower us and give us strength in the midst of our struggles.

Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah — Psalm 24:9-10 (NKJV) The earth is the LORD’s, and all it contains, the world, and those who dwell in it. For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers. (Psalm 24:1-2 NASB1995) He gives to all people, life and breath and all things. (See Acts 17:25) …for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him. (1 Corinthians 8:6 NASB1995) May we be a generation of those who diligently seek Him, who continually seek His face. Require Him as your greatest need. It is because of the LORD’s lovingkindnesses that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great and beyond measure is Your faithfulness. — Lamentations 3:22-23 (AMP) The loyal love of the LORD never ends! And His favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning. (See Psalm 30:5 NLT/NASB) He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. (Ephesians 1:7 NLT) Trust in His faithfulness and let your heart rejoice in His salvation. (See Psalm 13:5 NASB) “ The LORD is my portion and my inheritance ,” says my soul; “ Therefore I have hope in Him and wait expectantly for Him. ” (Lamentations 3:24 AMP) Certainly goodness and faithfulness will follow me all the days of my life, and my dwelling will be in the house of the LORD forever. (Psalm 23:6 NASB)

Beloved ones, God has called us to live a life of freedom. But don’t view this wonderful freedom as an excuse to set up a base of operations in the natural realm. Constantly love each other and be committed to serve one another. — Galatians 5:13 (TPT) Yet, Christ paid the full price to set us free from the curse of the law. He absorbed the curse completely as he became a curse in our place… (Galatians 3:13a TPT)  God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children. (Galatians 4:5 NLT) It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1 NASB) You must continually bring healing to lepers and to those who are sick, and make it your habit to break off the demonic presence from people, and raise the dead back to life. Freely you have received the power of the kingdom, so freely release it to others. — Matthew 10:8 (TPT)

Give us help against the adversary, for deliverance by man is in vain [a worthless hope]. With God we will do valiantly, for it is He who will trample down our enemies. — Psalm 108:12-13 (AMP) Human help is worthless. With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes. Many put their hope in chariots, others in horses, but we place our trust in the name of the Eternal One, our True God. (Psalm 20:7 VOICE)  Your hope in the LORD will not be disappointed. …with God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26) The LORD is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. This is my God, and I will praise him! (Exodus 15:2a NLT)

“… and we are proclaiming good news to you, that you turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and everything in them. ” — Acts 14:15 (CSB) Let us turn to the living God, at all times and in every situation. Anything we hold more dear in our hearts than our heavenly Father is an idol, a worthless thing. Count it all rubbish! Acts 14:17 (CSB) goes on to say, “ God did what is good by giving you rain from heaven and fruitful seasons and filling you with food and your hearts with joy. ” Our heavenly Father is a good God. He is not a deadbeat dad or an absentee father. He is with us always. Psalm 37:23b (NLT) says, He delights in every detail of our lives. Enjoy your fruitful seasons in His Presence. Open your heart to Him that He may fill it with everlasting joy. Cast all your cares and concerns on Him because He cares about you with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully. (1Peter 5:7)

Meanwhile, Peter followed him at a distance and came to the high priest’s courtyard. He went in and sat with the guards and waited to see how it would all end. — Matthew 26:58 (NLT) When Jesus was arrested, Peter followed Him at a distance. This separation was followed by Peter denying three times that he even knew Jesus, to the point of cursing and swearing (Matthew 26:74). If we follow Jesus at a distance, we allow room for doubt. Distractions will come and cause us to detour off the path of everlasting life. Let us faithfully, follow Jesus closely. Live in the light and enjoy intimate fellowship with Him. Don’t get sidetracked, and all will end well for you. Jesus is the way! Avoid evil and walk straight ahead. Don't go one step off the right way. (Proverbs 4:27 GNT)

Upon You have I relied and been sustained from my birth; You are He who took me from my mother’s womb and You have been my benefactor from that day. My praise is continually of You.  My mouth is filled with Your praise and with Your glory all day long. — Psalm 71:6, 8 (AMP) God chose you and loved you before the foundation of the world. He knit you together in your mother’s womb. He has sustained you since you drew your first breath. Each day we live the more we have to be thankful for. Praise Him and bring glory to His name all day, every day!  But as for me, I will wait and hope continually, and will praise You yet more and more. (Psalm 71:14 AMP)

The keeper of the prison did not look into anything that was under Joseph’s authority, because the LORD was with him; and whatever he did, the LORD made it prosper. — Genesis 39:23 (NKJV) While Joseph served as a slave, the LORD was with him, and made him successful in everything he did. (Genesis 39:2). Instead of feeling abandoned by God when he was sold into slavery, Joseph knew God was with him. Even in that adverse situation, Joseph maintained his integrity and refused to sin against God. He did not give in to the daily temptations of Potiphar’s wife. After being falsely accused and thrown into prison, God was still with Joseph and made him prosper. Genesis 39:21a (NLT) says, the LORD was with Joseph in the prison and showed him his faithful love. As we maintain a right relationship with the LORD, our circumstances cannot stop our faithful and gracious God from pouring out His love and blessings. You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. — Galatians 5:13 (NIV) Once we have been set free, it is our responsibility to make wise choices, to ensure that we live free. Every day we make decisions that lead to life or death. The LORD set before us life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live (Deuteronomy 30:19 NIV). Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD (Joshua 24:15 NKJV). Choose to love, laugh, and forgive. Choose to be kind and walk in the light of the LORD! Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you.  — Galatians 5:1 (MSG)

“The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed;” — Luke 4:18 (NKJV) Our Heavenly Father sent Jesus to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed [who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by calamity] (Luke 4:18 AMP). Today as we celebrate America’s Independence, declare your independence as a disciple of Christ. Announce your fredom from the schemes of the enemy. He no longer has the power to oppress you, unless you give it to him. Celebrate the freedom and victory we have in Christ. Hallelujah!

Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things you have seen and heard: that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.” — Luke 7:22-23 (NKJV) John sent two of his disciples to Jesus, saying, “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?” (Luke 7:10). Let there be NO doubt, Jesus is the One! He is the only One who shed His blood and gave His life, to set us free from sin, death and hell. This Jesus was sent to heal the brokenhearted, and to proclaim liberty to the captives (Isaiah 61:1-2). Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed (John 8:36)! Hallelujah!

...and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, — Revelation 1:5 (NIV) Today as we celebrate our Nation’s independence and remember those who have sacrificed, shed their blood and given their lives for our freedom as a country, let us celebrate Jesus, the most important freedom-fighter of all. He was the ultimate sacrifice. By His precious blood He set us free from sin and death and gave us the wonderful gift of eternal life. Exercise your freedom by serving God, not by breaking the rules. Treat everyone you meet with dignity. Love your spiritual family. Revere God. Respect the government. 1 Peter 2:16-17 (The Message) Jesus Christ was sent to heal the brokenhearted, and proclaim liberty to the captives (Isaiah 61:1). Let us live as free people, free from bondage, sin and death. Free to pursue the dreams and desires of our hearts. Enjoy the benefits of freedom: peace, prosperity and happiness. In America, we have the power of choice. Use it wisely. In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. Ephesians 3:12 (NIV) -- In Christ Jesus our Lord and through faith in Him, we are free to approach our heavenly Father with our concerns and we can be confident that He will hear our pleas and answer. If we, God's people, humble ourselves, repent and cry out to God on behalf of our nation, He will forgive our sins and heal our land. However, we have to be the light of hope that brightly shines in the midst of the darkness before the hearts of the American people return to the God in whom the foundations of America began. The amazing love of Jesus radiating from us, will draw women, men and children, young and old unto Him. Have a blessed Independence Day!

Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs - he wants to please his commanding officer. 2 Timothy 2:3-4 (NIV) We are to be in this world but not of this world (John 17:16). Do not become entangled with the concerns of this life. We are to put God first and keep our eyes on the Lord, then all these other things will be added unto us. Don't get distracted.
