Obey God

Then they brought the apostles before the high council, where the high priest confronted them. “We gave you strict orders never again to teach in this man’s name!” he said. “Instead, you have filled all Jerusalem with your teaching about him, and you want to make us responsible for his death!” But Peter and the apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than any human authority.” — Acts 5:27-29 (NLT) In Acts 4:18, the apostles were commanded to never again speak or teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John replied, “Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than him? We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard.” (Acts 4:19-20 NLT) As the Apostle Peter said: “We must obey God rather than men.” In Luke 12:5 (TPT), Jesus said: “The one you must fear is God, for he has both the power to take your life and the authority to cast your soul into hell. Yes, the only one you need to fear is God.” The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in and puts his confi...

Many hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous, but the LORD rescues him from them all.  — Psalms 34:19 (AMP)  Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through... (See Peter 4:12 NLT) In John 16:33 (NLT), Yeshua told his disciples: “Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows.” Let us not be overwhelmed when troubles come our way. Yeshua instructed us to take courage. In Him, we may have peace. He has overcome the world.  This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, and rescues them. (Psalms 34:6-7 NASB1995) The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from ALL their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.  (Psalms 34:17-18 NLT) He is the living God, and His dominion shall endure to the end. Gideon said to Him, “O my lord, if the LORD is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about…?” — Judges 6:13 (NKJV) In the midst of difficult and adverse situations, you may not understand “why?” but you do know WHO. The LORD is the One who will bring you through. Many hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous, but the LORD rescues him from them all (Psalm 34:19 AMP). He is the One working on your behalf to give you a future and a hope. WHAT is the Victory! Oh, sing to the LORD a new song! For He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory (Psalm 98:1NKJV). Thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ!

Many hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous, but the LORD rescues him from them all. — Psalm 34:19 (AMP) In this world, you will have trouble. (John 16:33). There will be circumstances that we just don't understand. However, our consolation is knowing that the LORD will deliver us out of them all. With God on our side, no one can stand against us. Nothing is too difficult for our mighty God. Troubles will come and troubles will go, but through it all let us continue to seek the LORD. When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, LORD, I will seek.” Psalm 27:8 (NKJV)
