Keep Building

Image
The fifth time, Sanballat’s servant came with an open letter in his hand, and this is what it said: “There is a rumor among the surrounding nations, and Geshem tells me it is true, that you and the Jews are planning to rebel and that is why you are building the wall. According to his reports, you plan to be their king.”“They were just trying to intimidate us, imagining that they could discourage us and stop the work. So I continued the work with even greater determination.” — Nehemiah 6:5-6, 6:9 (NLT) The enemy will always try to hinder or stop the work of Yahweh. It is a good work Yahweh is doing in you and through you. As we yield to the Holy Spirit, He will equip us to fulfill the good plan and purpose God has for us. Despite the hardships and challenges you face, don’t let the enemy discourage you or distract you and cause you to drift away from what Yahweh has for you, nor from what He has called you to accomplish. I am sure of this very thing—that He who began a good work in you...

Arise!

Image
…“Arise, bless the LORD your God forever and ever! O may Your glorious name be blessed and exalted above all blessing and praise! You alone are the LORD. You have made the heavens, the heaven of heavens with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to all of them and the heavenly host bows down before You. — Nehemiah 9:5-6 (NASB1995) “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of Yahweh has risen upon you. (Isaiah 60:1) Yahweh does justice for the oppressed; He gives food to the hungry. Yahweh sets the prisoners free. Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind; Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down; Yahweh loves the righteous; (See Psalms 146:7-8 LSB) Because His lovingkindness is better than life, may our lips praise Him. (See Psalm 63:3) Come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before Yahweh our Maker. — Psalms 95:6 (LSB)

Submit & Resist

Image
Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. — James 4:7-8 (NASB1995) May we live submitted to the authority of Yahweh and His Word. Instead of entertaining the temptation and lies of the enemy and this world, resist them. Our loyalty cannot be divided between God and the world. You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. (James 4:4) As we wholeheartedly come close to God, He will draw near to us.

Set Free

Image
Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” — John 8:31-32 (NLT) Being set free begins with remaining faithful to the teachings of Jesus. Then we will know the truth and it will set us free. Jesus is the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. (See John 1:9 NASB1995)  For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. (John 1:17 NASB1995)  The truth sets us free from worry and anxiety, because we know that nothing will be impossible with God (see Luke 1:37) We know that His plans for us our good. (See Jeremiah 29:11) The truth sets us free from the lies of the enemy. It sets us free from any bondage or addiction, because we are longer controlled by the desires of the flesh but by the Spirit of God. (See Romans 8:14) You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He wh...

Be Wise

Image
“ Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts on them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. ” — Matthew 7:24-25 (NASB) No matter what you build your house on, the winds of adversity are going to blow and beat on your house. The flood waters of trouble are going to come whether you build on sand or the rock. It is not wise to build your life on the shifting sands of what the current culture says is right. The one who builds their life on the Word of God, with Jesus as the Chief Cornerstone is wise. Whoever trusts in this stone as a foundation will never have cause to regret it. (See 1 Peter 2:7 MSG) “ And everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed agai...
