Victory is Ours

Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture:  — Romans 8:35-36  (MSG) Despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. (Romans 8:37 NLT) None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us. (Romans 8:37-39 MSG)

No Wedge

Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins… — Romans 8:35 (MSG) No matter how hard times get, remember: God loves you and He is with you. So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? (Romans 8:31MSG). None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us (Romans 8:38-39 MSG). May we also embrace others with His magnificent, amazing love.

His Mercies Never Cease!

The thought of my suffering and homelessness is bitter beyond words. I will never forget this awful time, as I grieve over my loss. Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease.  — Lamentations 3:19-22 (NLT) God does not withhold His tender mercies from us. Great is His mercy toward us! The LORD crowns us with lovingkindness and tender mercies (Psalm 103:4). Every morning we receive fresh, new mercies and compassions. He is the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3).  The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy (Psalm 145:8). Go boldly to the throne of grace, so you can obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

More Than Conquerors!

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. — Romans 8:37-39 (NKJV) Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ's love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins (Romans 8:35, The Message). Despite the difficulties and challenges we experience in this life, we have overwhelming victory in Christ Jesus, because God loves us. Amen!
