Joy Comes

Image
“Sing to the LORD, all you godly ones! Praise his holy name. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.” — Psalms 30:4-5 (NLT) “O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water.” (Psalms 63:1 NKJV) …In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (See Psalms 16:11 NKJV) “You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever!” (Psalms 30:11-12 NLT) “Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you! I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer. You satisfy me more than the richest feast. I will praise you with songs of joy.” (Psalms 63:3-5 NLT)

Our Turnaround God

Image
Sing praise to Yahweh, you His holy ones, and give thanks for the remembrance of His holy name. For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning. — Psalms 30:4-5 (LSB) Let us praise YAH! For He is the LORD Most High over all the earth; He is exalted far above all (little “g”) gods. (See Psalms 97:9) Nothing is too difficult for our mighty God. Whatever set of circumstances are before you, He is able to turn them around. Hallelujah!  He can change bitter waters to sweet. (See Exodus 15:23-25) He restores the sick to health. Psalms 30:2 (LSB) says: “O Yahweh my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me.” He is able to make darkness light before His people, and make crooked places straight. (See Isaiah 42:16) Micah 7:8 (AMP) says: Though I sit in the darkness [of distress], the LORD is a light for me. He will turn your mourning into joyful dancing. He will take away clothes of mourning and cl...

Every Moment Matters

Image
You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. — Psalm 139:16 (NLT) Every moment of our lives matter because God took the time to record each day and lay our lives out moment by moment. He intentionally made all the delicate, inner parts of our bodies and knit us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). He did this with purpose and His plan for our lives is good. Though our journey will take us through all kinds of seasons, we have a glorious destiny awaiting us. May we seek His will, as we plan our days and our lives. The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of His heart from generation to generation.  (Psalm 33:11 NASB) Let us submit to the authority of God’s Word and be led by His Holy Spirit, in word and action, because every moment of life He gives us matter.

Live the Dream

Image
“LORD, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered—  how fleeting my life is. You have made my life no longer than the width of my hand. My entire lifetime is just a moment to you; at best, each of us is but a breath.” Interlude  — Psalm 39:4-5 (NLT) The Spirit of God made us, and the breath of the Almighty gives us life. (Job 33:4). It’s His breath in our lungs. Thank God for giving you today. James 4:14 (NASB) says we are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. May we make the most of each moment He has given us. Be true to the desires God placed in your heart: sing the song, dance the dance, play the music, etc. That is when our dreams become reality and we truly live the more abundant life. Jesus came that we may have life, and that we may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10) LORD, teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom. (Psalm 90:12 NLT)

Be Quite Content

Image
Actually, I don’t have a sense of needing anything personally. I’ve learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances. I’m just as happy with little as with much, with much as with little. I’ve found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty. Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am. — Philippians 4:11-13 (MSG) This is the day the LORD has made. Let us learn to be content and embrace the moment God has for us right now. May we enjoy the good God has made available to us and stop worrying about what we don't have. Face the challenges with the confidence that you can make it through anything and everything, as long as you stay in God.

More of HIM!

Image
He must increase, but I must decrease.  — John 3:30 (NKJV) Need more of God in your life? What about in your heart? This is the assigned moment for him to move into the center, while we slip off to the sidelines (John 3:30 MSG). Today is the day, now is the time, give God complete access to all of you: your heart, your thoughts, your mouth, etc. May we be led by His Spirit, in all that we do and say, then we can experience His fullness in our lives. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:9 NKJV).

Favor for Life!

Image
For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. — Psalm 30:5 (NKJV) Surely, the LORD, blesses the righteous and surrounds them with His favor as with a shield (Psalm 5:12). His shield protects us from the fiery darts of the enemy. Diligently seek what is good and you will bask in the glow of God’s wonderful favor. (Proverbs 11:27)

Joy in the Morning!

Image
Sing praise to the LORD, you saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. — Psalm 30:4-5 (NKJV) Let us praise the LORD all of our days. Even in our darkest hour, we know that He is with us and His favor lasts a lifetime! He turns our mourning into dancing; He removes our clothes of mourning and clothes us with gladness (Psalm 30:11). Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes in the morning. Hallelujah!

Joy Comes in the Morning!

Sing praise to the LORD, you saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.  — Psalm 30:4-5 (NKJV) Even though we go through times of darkness, we can rejoice because morning always comes. God's mercies never cease. They begin afresh each morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). His favor lasts a lifetime! When is anxiety is great within us, the consolation of the LORD brings us joy (Psalm 94:19). His very Presence makes our joy complete (Psalm :16:11). Sing praise to the LORD all you saints!
