Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD,  and in His law he meditates day and night. — Psalm 1:1-2 (NKJV) When we meditate on the Word of God, our thoughts are elevated from our ways to His way and we can see things from His, much higher perspective. Let His Word permeate your mind and hide it in your heart, and you will be blessed and have good success, when you follow it. Joshua 1:8 says: This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. (NKJV) How well God must like you— you don’t hang out at Sin Saloon, you don’t slink along Dead-End Road, you don’t go to Smart-Mouth College. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. — Colossians 3:2 (NKJV) Let us elevate our thoughts. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so God’s thoughts are higher than our thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9) So if you’re serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective. Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest. — Hebrews 3:1 (NIV) If we want to rise up to another level of living and being, we have to elevate our thoughts. There is no other name higher than the name of Jesus. Let us fix our thoughts on Him. The New Living Translation says to think carefully about this Jesus. The Amplified Bible instructs us to thoughtfully and attentively consider Him. As we fix our thoughts on Jesus, we will be more likely to follow Him. As we give attention to Him, we will become more like Him. So, my dear Christian friends, companions in following this call to the heights, take a good hard look at Jesus. He’s the centerpiece of everything we believe, faithful in everything God gave him to do. (Hebrews 3:1-2 MSG)

When we give more time, energy and thought to the challenges we face, fear and doubt appear. Instead, we can focus on the Lord and doing whatever He has called us to do. When we stay centered on God and His mighty Presence at work in our lives, we rise above the circumstances of this life and remain in His peace. Then we are able to stand strong and walk in faith toward all that He has for us. When we elevate our thought life to the God realm, all things are possible!
