Come & Worship

Image
Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the LORD our maker, for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. If only you would listen to his voice today!  — Psalm 95:6-7 (NLT) Know and fully recognize with gratitude that the LORD Himself is God; It is He who has made us, not we ourselves [and we are His]. We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. (Psalm 100:3 AMP) The LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, to guide and to shield me], I shall not want. He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still and quiet waters. He refreshes and restores my soul (life); He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. (Psalm 23:1-3 AMP) Surely goodness and mercy and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, a nd I shall dwell forever [throughout all my days] in the house and in the presence of the LORD. — Psalm 23:6 (AMP)

The Chief Cornerstone

Image
The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This was the LORD’s doing; It is marvelous in our eyes. — Psalm 118:22-23 (NKJV) For this is contained in Scripture: “Behold, I lay in Zion a choice stone, a precious corner stone, and he who believes in Him will not be disappointed.” — 1 Peter 2:6 (NASB) Therefore, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: “Look! I am placing a foundation stone in Jerusalem, a firm and tested stone. It is a precious cornerstone that is safe to build on. Whoever believes need never be shaken. (Isaiah 28:16 NLT) May we believe and build our lives on Jesus. Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 2:4-5 NKJV) So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy p...

Wait to See

Image
I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guardpost. There I will wait to see what the LORD says and how he will answer my complaint. — Habakkuk 2:1 (NLT) Instead of getting anxious and fearful in response to a bad report from the enemy, look with eyes of faith to our heavenly Father. We can fully enjoy His Presence and remain in His peace, as we fully rely on the LORD. He will keep in perfect peace, all whose mind is stayed upon Him. So now, take your stand and see the great things which the LORD will do before your eyes. Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice. My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand upholds me. (Psalm 63:7-8 NKJV) We can rejoice knowing that with God on our side, nothing can stand against us.

Worship at All Times

Image
Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped. — Job 1:20 (NKJV) After being told that all his livestock were gone, his servants killed, and his ten children were dead Job fell to the ground and worshiped God. Job 1:22 says, in all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong. After being struck with painful boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head (Job 2:7), Job’s wife told him to curse God and die. But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips. (Job 2:10) When faced with trials and adversity may we continue to draw near to God and worship Him. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. (Psalm 95:6) Never let the schemes of the enemy draw you away from our heavenly Father. He is our strength and refuge in time of trouble. May we worship Almighty G...

Come Thirsty

Image
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 (NLT) Jesus calls all people to come to Him, let us come thirsty. Rainwater that falls on hard ground rolls on without seeping in, but when the ground is thirsty, it absorbs the water and is changed. When we come to Jesus but resist submitting to His ways, our hearts are hard and we are not open to receive what He has for us. However, when we come to Jesus thirsty, wanting more of Him, His living water is able to penetrate our hearts and we are changed. He refreshes, revives and satisfies our souls. O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you… (Psalm 63:1, NLT)

Activate Peace

Image
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. — Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT) And which of you by being overly anxious and troubled with cares can add a cubit to his stature or a moment [unit] of time to his age [the length of his life]? (Luke 12:25 NLT). Instead of worrying, activate God's formula for peace: pray about everything + continually give thanks to God = experience peace. Amen!

A Beautiful Life!

Image
Sunrise breaks through the darkness for good people— God’s grace and mercy and justice! The good person is generous and lends lavishly; No shuffling or stumbling around for this one, but a sterling and solid and lasting reputation. Unfazed by rumor and gossip, heart ready, trusting in God, Spirit firm, unperturbed, ever blessed, relaxed among enemies, they lavish gifts on the poor— a generosity that goes on, and on, and on. An honored life! A beautiful life! — Psalm 112:4-9 (MSG) In your darkest hour, light will arise! Walk in the light of His love. Extend your arm with compassion and give handfuls of grace to all who come your way.

Saved from All Troubles!

This poor man cried out, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them. Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! — Psalm 34:6-8 (NKJV) Call upon the LORD, in every situation and circumstance, and He will hear you and deliver you out of all your troubles. Because you have made the LORD your refuge, He has given His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways (Psalm 91:9,11). Surely, He will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease (Psalm 91:3). Amen!

Filled with Light!

Once you lived in the dark, but now the Lord has filled you with light. Live as children who have light. — Ephesians 5:8 (GW) No more stumbling around in darkness and confusion. We have the light of the Lord shining on us and dwelling in us. Light produces everything that is good, that has God’s approval, and that is true (Ephesians 5:9). Light exposes the true character of everything because light makes everything easy to see (Ephesians 5:13-14a). Live in the life-giving light of the Lord!

Strength and Power!

God, the God of Israel, is awe-inspiring in his holy place. He gives strength and power to his people. Thanks be to God! Psalm 68:35 (GW) The beauty and majesty of our great God causes us to stand in awe. Oh, what a joy to live in the splendor of His love and light! He is worthy of all praise and adoration. God gives us strength and power to worship and serve Him with all of our hearts, minds and souls. In His power, we can overcome obstacles, move mountains and triumph through the trials. With the strength God gives, we can pursue the dreams he has given us with passion and perseverance. Thank God for giving you the strength and power to overcome and live a victorious life!

Everything is All Right

When he saw her in the distance, the man of God said to his servant Gehazi, "Look! There's the Shunammite! Run to meet her and ask her, 'Are you all right? Is your husband all right? Is your child all right?' " "Everything is all right," she said. 2 Kings 4:25-26 (NIV) When the Shunammite women spoke these words, her son was lying in her house dead. Instead of looking at the circumstances, she was believing in the power of God. Instead of speaking negative, she spoke words of faith. She sought Elisha, the man of God and her son was brought back to life. Death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). Instead of broadcasting all the bad news, speak words of faith. 2 Corinthians 4:18, NLT says, don’t look at the troubles we can see now. We are to fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. Everything is all right, as we follow God's direc...

The Prayer of Jabez

Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain." And God granted his request. 1 Chronicles 4:10 (NIV) The Word of God continues to amaze me. How can one little Scripture contain so much power and truth that it can change your life forever? Jabez prayed a simple prayer and God granted his request. His life was transformed by the power of God.  This is Mark 11:24 in action: ask, believe and receive. Today, I ask God to bless you, to keep His hand on you and guide you along on the path He has for you. May he enlarge your area of influence, so others can experience the love of God through you. I ask God to protect you and keep you in perfect health. I pray your life would be transformed by the wonder working power of God and His Living Word. Amen. Love, Jackie
