Peace at ALL Times

Image
Now may the Lord of peace Himself grant you His peace at all times and in every way [that peace and spiritual well-being tha t comes to those who walk with Him, regardless of life’s circumstances]. The Lord be with you all. — 2 Thessalonians 3:16 (AMP) In spite of the tribulation going on in the world, children of God can have perfect peace. Yahweh will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Him, because he trusts in Him. (See Isaiah 26:3 NKJV) Walk closely with Yahweh. “Trust [confidently] in the LORD forever [He is your fortress, your shield, your banner], for the LORD God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].” (Isaiah 26:4 AMP) Yahweh will give strength to His people; Yahweh will bless His people with peace. (Psalms 29:11 LSB)

More Than Conquerors

Image
We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. — 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NLT) Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us]. (Romans 8:37 AMP) Little children (believers, dear ones), you are of God and you belong to Him and have [already] overcome them [the agents of the antichrist]; because He who is in you is greater than he (Satan) who is in the world [of sinful mankind]. (1 John 4:4 AMP) “… we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and his demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything! ” — Romans 8:37 (TPT)

The God of All Comfort

Image
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. — 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NASB1995) Instead of looking for comfort in the culture of this world, look for comfort in the arms of our heavenly Father and in His Kingdom. Anything of this world that gives us comfort is temporary. It eventually leaves us empty and dry. In the LORD, we have everlasting joy and peace, and a love that never fails. He is faithful and forgiving and full of grace and mercy. Romans 15:5 says, He is the God of patience and comfort. Second Corinthians 7:6 (AMP) says, God comforts and encourages the depressed and the disquieted. No matter what you are going through, may you find comfort in His Presence. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, the Father of compassion and God of all...

Life & Light

Image
How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings. They drink their fill of the abundance of Your house; and You give them to drink of the river of Your delights. For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light. — Psalm 36:7-9 (NASB1995) Yahweh is the true and living God. He is our light and our salvation. (See Psalm 27:1) He is a God of “more than enough.” Yeshua came that we may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. (See John 10:10b AMP) From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another. (John 1:16 NLT) In John 8:12 (NASB1995), Jesus said, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” Walk with Yeshua, in the light that gives life and have no part in the deeds of darkness. As we abide in His light, He opens our eyes to see even more light.  O True God… You have the fountai...

He Rescues

Image
For troubles surround me— too many to count! My sins pile up so high I can’t see my way out. They outnumber the hairs on my head. I have lost all courage. — Psalm 40:12 (NLT) Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you (1 Peter 4:12 NLT). In John 16:33 (NLT), Jesus said: “ Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. ” We can take courage because in Jesus, we too shall overcome. Many hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous, but the LORD rescues him from them all. (Psalm 34:19 AMP) The LORD rescues the godly; he is their fortress in times of trouble. (Psalm 37:39 NLT) As for sin, if we confess our sins to Him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. (See 1 John 1:9) When temptation comes, God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tem...

The Chief Cornerstone

Image
Therefore this is what the Lord God says: “Behold, I am laying a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed. The one who believes in it will not be disturbed. — Isaiah 28:16 (NASB) A stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This came about from the LORD; It is marvelous in our eyes. (Psalm 118:22-23 NASB) Jesus the Christ, is the very stone that holds together the entire foundation. Keep your trust, hope and confidence in Him and you will not be disturbed when the storms come. Build your life on Him because He is fully tested and proven to be faithful and secure. You are rising like the perfectly fitted stones of the temple; and your lives have been built up together upon the foundation laid by the apostles and prophets, and best of all, you are connected to the Head Cornerstone of the building, the Anointed One, Jesus Christ himself! — Ephesians 2:20 (TPT)

Peace in Every Circumstance

Image
Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]  — John 14:27 (AMP) While the world may be insecure and unstable, as citizens in the Kingdom of God, we have a firm foundation that is not moved by the constantly changing circumstances of this world. When chaos and calamities confront the world, Believers are calm and undisturbed. Men and women of God do not panic, but remain in perfect peace, which transcends human understanding. Those in the world may be fearful, but children of God trust our heavenly Father and live by faith. Believers triumph over the troubles of this world, because we are in Christ, and Jesus has already overcome the world. Amen.

Draw from the Fountain of Life

Image
Fear of the LORD is a life-giving fountain; it offers escape from the snares of death. — Proverbs 14:27 (NLT) Isaiah 12:3 (NASB) says we will joyously draw water from the springs of salvation. Draw from the fountain of life and drink deeply, for your cup overflows. May we give honor and respect to our great God. In the fear of the LORD there is strong confidence. (Proverbs 14:26a NASB) And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. (Hebrews 10:19)  Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. — Hebrews 4:16 (NASB)

Precious Gifts

Image
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” — John 14:27 (NLT) How would you feel if you gave a loved one a very special gift and they never opened it? Let’s say they never even bothered to acknowledge it. They just left it sitting on the table, collecting dust. Sometimes, we bypass God's gift of peace and take on the burden of anxiety and worry. I imagine it hurts the heart of God when we don’t acknowledge the valuable gifts He has given. Our heavenly Father knows the benefit of the good gifts He has given to us; if only we would accept them and consistently use them. In Luke 10:19 (NLT), Jesus told His disciples, “Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy…” We have been given His peace and power and authority over our enemy. May we wisely benefit from the good gifts we have been given. Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God o...

Complete in Him

Image
For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. — Colossians 2:9-10 (NKJV) Most people spend many years trying to fill the emptiness in us with things or people of this world. This is a fruitless effort. However, when we open our hearts to Jesus, we experience fullness of joy and complete peace. In Christ, we can have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. (John 10:10b AMP) You don’t need a telescope, a microscope, or a horoscope to realize the fullness of Christ, and the emptiness of the universe without him. When you come to him, that fullness comes together for you, too. His power extends over everything. (Colossians 2:9-10 MSG) May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Ephesians 3:19 (NLT)

A Clean Slate

Image
That makes it quite clear that none of you can get by with blowing your own horn before God. Everything that we have—right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start—comes from God by way of Jesus Christ. That’s why we have the saying, “If you’re going to blow a horn, blow a trumpet for God.” — 1 Corinthians 1:29-31 (MSG) In Christ, we have a clean slate and a fresh start from God. We could not have earned righteousness on our own. Therefore, if you want to boast, boast only about the LORD, who demonstrates lovingkindness, and exercises justice and righteousness. He is rich in grace, mercy, and compassion. The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning (Lamentations 3:22-23, NLT).

Walk in His Paths

Image
This morning, as I read my Bible, this portion of Scripture  spoke to my heart. “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.”  — Isaiah 2:3 (NKJV) My prayer: “Thank You, LORD, for Your wonderful Word. I pray that You would help us to be teachable. May our hearts be tender before You, that we may submit to You, to Your will and Your ways, in all that we do. Let us totally surrender —give up trying to do things our way and follow You. May we walk on the path that You set before us and not take any detours. For Your path leads to everlasting life, peace and joy. Let us not fall for any sideshow distractions of the enemy. Help us to remember: we MUST be about our Father’s business (Luke 2:49). In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.”

Well Able to Overcome!

Image
Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.” — Numbers 13:30 (NKJV) Caleb was ready to go up and take possession of the land God promised the Israelites, but the men who went up with him gave a bad report and said, they were not able to go up against the giants of the land. Are you like the 10 men who magnified the negative and gave a bad report or do you have the spirit of Caleb and Joshua that says, we are well able to overcome? Go up at once and take possession of your land of promise! You are well able to overcome!

Hold On to Good!

Love from the center of who you are; don’t fake it. Run for dear life from evil; hold on for dear life to good. — Romans 12:9 (The Message) Let us hold on for dear life to what is good. God is good and God is love! He is full of grace and mercy. May we imitate our heavenly Father and love others deeply, from the center of our hearts. Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them! God's love for us never runs out, it is constant. May our love for others never fail!

No Doubting Thomas'

Then Jesus said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Take your hand, and put it into my side. Stop doubting, and believe.”   Thomas responded to Jesus, “My Lord and my God!”  — John 20:27-28 (GW)  Thomas had to see the risen Lord before he believed, but Jesus said, “Blessed are those who haven’t seen me but believe” (John 20:29). John 20:31 says, the miracles recorded in the Bible have been written so that we will believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and so that we will have life by believing in Him. Stop doubting, and believe! We serve a miracle-working God. Our Lord is alive and there is nothing too difficult for Him!

The LORD, Our Strength

For You are my rock and my fortress; Therefore, for Your name’s sake, Lead me and guide me. Pull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me, For You are my strength. Psalm 31:3-4 (NKJ) The LORD is our strength. If you grow weary and faint, draw strength from the source of all power and strength, the LORD, our God. He pulls us out of the enemy's traps, and leads us and guides us to our destination. We can soar high on wings like eagles, when our strength is renewed by the LORD.

Do Not Hide Your Face

Hear my prayer, O LORD, And let my cry come to You. Do not hide Your face from me in the day of my trouble; Incline Your ear to me; In the day that I call, answer me speedily. Psalm 102:1-2 (NKJ) In the day of trouble, it may seem like the LORD is hiding His face. Truth be told: He never leaves us and His ear is always open to hear our cry. If we are overwhelmed and anxious, it may feel like the LORD is delaying His answer. However, when we peacefully and prayerfully wait on the LORD, His answer comes at the perfect time. May you rest in His arms and your heart be at peace as you wait for your answers. Love, Jackie

Why Worry?

Worry weighs us down; a cheerful word picks us up. Proverbs 12:25 (The Message) Worry is a heavy burden that weighs us down and gets us no where. It only leads t0 frustration and exhaustion. Instead of worrying, delve into the good news of God's Word. It will pick you up. A cheerful word from Psalm 68:19 (NIV) says God daily bears our burdens. If He is going to carry our burdens, why not let them go? Cast all your cares on the Lord and embrace the perfect peace of God. Love, Jackie
