Every Gift

Image
“Every gift God freely gives us is good and perfect, streaming down from the Father of lights, who shines from the heavens with no hidden shadow or darkness and is never subject to change.” — James (Jacob) 1:17 (TPT) Every good and perfect gift has been freely given to us by our heavenly Father. By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. (2 Peter 1:3 NLT) God has lavished on us extraordinary grace. Praise God for his astonishing gift, which is far too great for words! (See 2 Corinthians 9:14-15 TPT) God’s gracious gift is eternal life in Messiah Yeshua our Lord. (See Romans 6:23 TLV) For by grace we have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. (Ephesians 2:8 NKJV) May we receive all the Father has for us with an open and humble heart.  Oh, that men would give thanks to t...

Seek God

Image
nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things; and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; — Acts 17:25-27 (NASB1995) God determined our appointed times and the boundaries of our habitation. We are here on earth, dwelling where we live for such a time as this. Every day of your life was recorded in His book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. (See Psalms 139:16 NLT) He knows the plans He has for you. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. (See Jeremiah 29:11 NLT) Let us live, move, and have our being in Him. For we also are His children. (See Acts 17:28) And He cares about you with deepest affection, and...

Follow His Counsel

Image
The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect. The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations. — Psalm 33:10-11 (NKJV) In Jeremiah 18:12 (NLT), the people rejected the Word of the LORD given through Jeremiah. They replied, “Don’t waste your breath. We will continue to live as we want to, stubbornly following our own evil desires.” Each and every moment of the day, that the good LORD gives us breath, we can choose to follow Him, or follow our own desires. Know that eventually, each person will bear the consequences of their choices, so choose wisely. Stay on the path that leads to life and peace. “Woe to the rebellious children,” declares the LORD, “who execute a plan, but not Mine, and make an alliance, but not of My Spirit, in order to add sin to sin; (Isaiah 30:1 NASB1995) You adulteresses [disloyal sinners—flirting with the world and breaking your vow to God]! Do you not know that being the wo...

Peace be with You

Image
So when it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.” — John 20:19 (NASB1995) Peace is a blessing from the LORD. Psalm 29:11 (NLT) says: The LORD gives his people strength. The LORD blesses them with peace. Never let the enemy steal your peace. Our peace is to be perfect and constant. External, temporary circumstances should not disrupt our peace. In John 16:33, Yeshua said:  “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” Let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (See Philippians 4:7) God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God.  — Matthew 5:9 (NLT)

Stay Focused

Image
We look away from the natural realm and we focus our attention and expectation onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God! — Hebrews 12:2 (TPT) Look away from the natural realm and all of its distractions. Let us focus our attention on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. He leads us forward, to the glorious destination the Father has for us. And He empowers us to fulfill the Father’s purpose and plan for our lives. Stay focused on Jesus, as your first love, and wholeheartedly follow Him, at all times. What or who, we choose to give our attention to, greatly impacts our lives. In Luke 11:34 (AMP), Jesus said: “ The eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye is clear [spiritually perceptive, focused on God], your ...

Let Your Light Shine

Image
This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.  — 1 John 1:5 (NLT) The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it. — John 1:4-5 (NLT) No matter how dark this world gets, it can never extinguish the Light of God. In Matthew 5:14-15 (NASB1995), Jesus said, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.” “So don’t hide your light! Let it shine brightly before others, so that your commendable works will shine as light upon them, and then they will give their praise to your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16 TPT) In John 9:5 (TPT), Jesus said, “As long as I am with you my life is the light that pierces the world’s darkness.” Amen and amen!

He Knows

Image
For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the LORD, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’ — Jeremiah 29:11 (AMP) In the Message Bible, the LORD says: “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out —plans to take care of you, not abandon you…” (Jeremiah 29:11) Trust Almighty God, Who sees the whole picture. He has all your days written in His book and His plans for you are for peace and well-being. But [continue to] live in the [reverent, worshipful] fear of the LORD day by day. Surely there is a future [and a reward], and your hope and expectation will not be cut off. — Proverbs 23:17b-18 (AMP)

He Chose You

Image
You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you. — John 15:16 (NASB) Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes. (Ephesians 1:4) Don't wander through life aimlessly, being distracted and taking detours. We have been chosen and appointed for a higher purpose. God has us on earth for such a time as this, to fulfill the plans He has for these times we are living right now. Stay focused. We are called according to His purpose. Don't let distractions carry you away from the great work our heavenly Father has for you. He chose you, and put you in the world to bear fruit, fruit that won’t spoil, fruit that will last through the fire of adversity and remain forever. Be a fruit bearer.

His Love Remains

Image
“For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken,” says the LORD, who has mercy on you. — Isaiah 54:10 (NLT) Know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments; (Deuteronomy 7:9 NKJV) God does not change. (Malachi 3:6) While the world around us is constantly changing, His love is sure and steadfast. His covenant of love is sealed with the blood of Jesus. May we be deeply rooted and securely grounded in His love. (Ephesians 3:17)

His Power, Our Peace

Image
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” — John 14:26-27 (NKJV) Jesus, the Prince of Peace, says do not let your heart be troubled, nor afraid. We can stay in perfect peace because we have the greater One living in us. His great power working in us and through us, empowers us to overcome life’s obstacles and triumph over tragedy. His mighty power enables us to rise up when opposition threatens to take us down. Let His perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge. (John 14:27b AMP) We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not fro...

Jesus is Alive!

Image
The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? — Luke 24:5 (NLT) When the women went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus, in the tomb, they were greatly perplexed (Luke 24:3-4). Don’t be puzzled, and have no doubt, Jesus is no longer on the cross and His tomb has been empty. Jesus is Alive! He is our Advocate, who pleads our case before the Father. He is the One who is truly righteous. He conquered sin, death, and the grave. For over 2,000 years He has been actively engaged in the lives of His people, to bring about the Father’s will on the earth. Jesus overcame His enemies, for He is LORD of lords and KING of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.” (Revelation 17:14). Do you stand with Him today?

He Hears & Sees

Image
“Go and tell Hezekiah, ‘Thus says the LORD, the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will add to your days fifteen years. — Isaiah 38:5 (NKJV) When Hezekiah was sick and near death, he received word from Isaiah the prophet, to set his house in order, because he was going to die and not live. Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the LORD (Isaiah 38:1-2). When you receive a bad report where do you turn? Hezekiah sought the LORD and instead of dying God added fifteen years to his life. Let us always seek God first and foremost when confronted with adverse situations. Be confident that, He not only hears your prayers and sees your tears, He will also answer and bring deliverance. Live with a sense of expectancy. We serve an mighty God and He is doing great things in our midst!

Make it Good!

Image
“God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” — Numbers 23:19 (NKJV) The word of the LORD endures forever (1 Peter 1:25). You can confidently stand on God’s Word. Whatever God has spoken to you, He will make it good. “For as the rain and snow come down from the heavens, and return not there again, but water the earth and make it bring forth and sprout, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (Isaiah 55:10-11, AMP).

God of Victories!

Thus says the LORD to you: “Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” — 2 Chronicles 20:15 (NKJV) Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens (Psalm 68:19, NIV). Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you (1 Peter 5:7, NLT). With God on our side, who can stand against us? Our heavenly Father is the God of victories. Thank God who always leads us in triumph in Christ (2 Corinthians 2:14)!

Never Far Away!

From one man he has made every nation of humanity to live all over the earth. He has given them the seasons of the year and the boundaries within which to live. He has done this so that they would look for God, somehow reach for him, and find him. In fact, he is never far from any one of us. Certainly, we live, move, and exist because of him. As some of your poets have said, ‘We are God’s children.’  — Acts 17:26-28 (GW) Since the time He formed us in our mother's wombs, God has been intricately involved with the details of our lives. He is never far away. He wrote each one of our days in His book before one of them came to be and then He stands by our side to help us walk each one out. For in Him we live and move and have our being. Praise God that He is near!

Delight Yourself in the LORD

Trust the Lord, and do good things. Live in the land, and practice being faithful. Be happy with the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:3-4 (GW) Lean on the LORD and decide to do good. Make being faithful to God and being faithful to do His Word a lifestyle, a daily practice. Delight yourself in the LORD and you will become more like Him, wanting the same things God wants. Then your efforts are crowned with success and you will have those things you desired.

Find True Peace

Those who love your teachings will find true peace, and nothing will defeat them. Psalm 119:165 (NCV) Follow the Lord's teachings and find true peace in mind, body and soul. His deep, abiding peace will rule in your heart. As we submit to His instruction, we will no longer stagger around in confusion and darkness. His Word is a light on our path to show us the way to go. May your soul be at peace, knowing that God is leading you to a triumphant victory in Christ, the Living Word (2 Corinthians 2:14). Love, Jackie

Find Rest

Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light." Matthew 11:28-30 (NLT) Are you carrying a heavy burden? Come to Jesus and lay it before Him. He gives you rest. He leads you beside quiet waters and restores your soul. Find rest in the presence of the LORD for He has been good to you (Psalm 116:7). Be still and know that the LORD, in His infinite wisdom, will work out everything that concerns you. Praise the LORD. Love, Jackie
