Every Word

Image
“Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection.” — Proverbs 30:5 (NLT) The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever. (Isaiah 40:8 NKJV) This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. (Joshua 1:8 NKJV) May we meditate on the Word day and night and observe what it says. Then we will make our way prosperous and then we will have good success. The Word of God is our only offensive weapon against the enemy. It is the sword of the Spirit. (See Ephesians 6:17) In Matthew, Chapter 4, when Yeshua was in the desert, being tempted by the devil, He spoke the Word, and the devil left Him. Speak “ It is written… ”

“ I love you, LORD; you are my strength. The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. ” — Psalms 18:1-2 (NLT) “…in my distress I cried out to the LORD; yes, I prayed to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry to him reached his ears.” (Psalms 18:6 NLT) “He reached down from heaven and rescued me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemies, from those who hated me and were too strong for me. They attacked me at a moment when I was in distress, but the LORD supported me.” (Psalms 18:16-18 NLT) “God’s way is perfect. All the LORD’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. For who is God except the LORD? Who but our God is a solid rock? God arms me with strength, and he makes my way perfect. He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights.” (Psalms 18:30-33 NLT) Let us ...

Great is His Goodness

“How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world.” — Psalms 31:19 (NLT) Good and upright is the LORD; Therefore He teaches sinners in the way. The humble He guides in justice, and the humble He teaches His way. (Psalms 25:8-9 NKJV) He loves righteousness and justice; The earth is full of the goodness of the LORD. (Psalms 33:5 NKJV) Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness. (Psalms 107:8-9 NKJV) The goodness of God endures continually. (See Psalms 52:1) He is ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon Him. (See Psalms 86:5) O love the LORD, all you His godly ones! The LORD preserves the faithful [those with moral and spiritual integrity] and fully repays the [self-righteousness of the] arrogant. — Psalms...

Our Rock and Fortress

Image
He sang: “The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. He is my refuge, my savior, the one who saves me from violence.” — 2 Samuel 22:2-3 (NLT) In my distress I called upon Yahweh, and I called to my God; And out of His temple He heard my voice, and my cry for help came into His ears. (2 Samuel 22:7 LSB) “Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy! I look to you for protection. I will hide beneath the shadow of your wings until the danger passes by. I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me.” (Psalms 57:1-2 NLT) He reached down from heaven and rescued me; he drew me out of deep waters. (2 Samuel 22:17 (NLT) When overwhelmed and in distress, call upon Yahweh. He is faithful to hear and come to the rescue. He will give you His shield of victory; His help will make you great. Armed with Strength

God’s way is perfect. All the LORD’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. For who is God except the LORD? Who but our God is a solid rock? God arms me with strength, and he makes my way perfect. — Psalms 18:30-32 (NLT) In 1 Samuel 30:3-4, David and his men came to the city, and it was burned with fire, and their wives and their sons and daughters had been taken captive. David and the people who were with him lifted their voices and wept until there was no strength in them to weep. But 1 Samuel 30:6 (NLT) says, David found strength in the LORD his God. In Psalms 18:6 (LSB), David said: In my distress I called upon Yahweh, and cried to my God for help; He heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry for help before Him came into His ears. When you are distressed and in the midst of adverse circumstances, call upon Yahweh for help. He arms us with strength to stand strong through the troubles and challenges that come our way. …“I love You, O Yahweh, ...

Are You Aware?

Image
Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the LORD is in this place, and I wasn’t even aware of it!” — Genesis 28:16 (NLT) As Jacob journeyed to his uncle Laban’s place, he reached a certain place and spent the night there because the sun had set. Then he had a dream, and behold, a ladder stood on the earth with its top touching heaven; and behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. And behold, Yahweh stood above it and said, “I am Yahweh, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie, I will give it to you and to your seed.” (See Genesis 28:10-13 LSB) Among the promises Yahweh made to Jacob in Genesis 14-15, He promised to be with Jacob, and to keep him. Today, wherever you are on your journey, know that Yahweh is with you. For the ways of a man are before the eyes of Yahweh, and He watches all his tracks. (Proverbs 5:21 LSB) May you be aware of His Presence and follow His guidance. And He will protect you. The Lord is faith...

A Shield About Me

Image
But You, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the One who lifts my head. I was crying to the LORD with my voice, and He answered me from His holy mountain. Selah. — Psalms 3:3-4 (NASB1995) Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection. (Proverbs 30:5 NLT) Just as soldiers have to keep a tight hold on their shield for it to be effective, we have to hold onto Yahweh, and hide in Him to be kept safe from the flaming arrows of the evil one. Blessed be the LORD, because He has heard the voice of my supplication. The LORD is my strength and my [impenetrable] shield; My heart trusts [with unwavering confidence] in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I shall thank Him and praise Him. (Psalms 28:6-7 AMP) Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken. (Psalms 55:22 NASB1995) …I have trusted in Your lovingkindness; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation....

Our Refuge

Image
Hear my cry, O God; Give heed to my prayer. From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For You have been a refuge for me, a tower of strength against the enemy. — Psalm 61:1-3 (NASB1995) Yahweh is our protection from the fiery darts of the wicked one. He alone is our refuge, our place of safety; He is an impenetrable fortress from our enemies. I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!” For it is He who delivers us from the snare of the trapper and from the deadly pestilence. (See Psalm 91:1-3 NASB1995) Make the LORD, your refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place. The LORD says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. (See Psalm 91:9,14) You’ve always given me breathing room, a place to get away from it all,
a lifetime pass to your safe-house, an open invitation as your guest. You’ve always taken me seriously, God, made me welcome among those wh...

More Than Enough

Image
You have been my constant helper; therefore, I sing for joy under the protection of Your wings. My soul clings to You; Your right hand reaches down and holds me up. — Psalm 63:7-8 (VOICE) El Shaddai is all-sufficient, more than enough. He is all we need. Why is everyone hungry for more? “More, more,” they say. “More, more.” I have God’s more-than-enough, more joy in one ordinary day than they get in all their shopping sprees. (Psalm 4:6-7 MSG) For a day in His courts is better than a thousand anywhere else. (See Psalm 84:10 AMP) In peace [and with a tranquil heart] I will both lie down and sleep, for You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety and confident trust. (Psalm 4:8 AMP) but He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]...” — 2 Corinthians 12:9 (AMP)

Surrounded

Image
As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people from this time forth and forever. — Psalm 125:2 (NASB) People may desert you, but the Lord will stand with you and give you strength. In His Presence, there is wonder-working power. We are empowered to complete the assignment He has given to each one of us. In His Presence, we have peace, protection and fullness of joy. For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” (Zephaniah 3:17 NLT) Faithfully stand with the Lord, as He stands with you.

FAITHFUL FATHER

Image
And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba, Father.” — Galatians 4:6 (NLT) May we set our affections on our heavenly Father, as His affections are upon us. His faithful love endures forever (1 Chronicles 16:34 NLT). He did not create us and leave us to our own devices. Instead, He is with us, as our constant Companion, to lead us and guide us along on the path that leads to abundant life. He is continually attentive to every detail of our lives, right down to the number of hairs on your head. Our mighty God is our protection and our Provider. He watches over us, and is always ready to rescue. He delivers us from all our troubles. At each and every sunrise we will be thanking you for your kindness and your love. As the sun sets and all through the night, we will keep proclaiming, “ You are so faithful! ” (Psalm 92:2 TPT) …I’ll keep coming closer and closer to you, Lord Yahweh, for your name is good to me. ...

Great is His Goodness

Image
How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world. You hide them in the shelter of your presence, safe from those who conspire against them. You shelter them in your presence, far from accusing tongues. — Psalm 31:19-20 (NLT) Trust in the LORD. Be glad and rejoice in His unfailing love, for He has seen your troubles, and He cares about the anguish of your soul. He has not handed you over to your enemies but has set you in a safe place. (Psalm 31:6-8) He is our rock and our fortress; for His name’s sake He will lead us and guide us. (Psalm 31:3) Follow Him.

Ready Access

Image
Now that we know what we have—Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God—let’s not let it slip through our fingers. We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. — Hebrews 4:14-15 (MSG) Once we have opened the door of our heart to Jesus, we gain 24-hour access to enter His Presence. We can humbly approach the throne room of God and meet with our Savior, the King of kings and the Lord of lords. What an honor! May we cling tenaciously to our absolute trust in Him as Savior (Hebrews 4:14 AMP) Worship and adore Him. In His presence, we are enveloped in His peace, and we obtain His protection and provision. Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming j...

Great is His Goodness

Image
How great is your goodness that you have stored up for those who fear you and accomplished in the sight of everyone for those who take refuge in you. You hide them in the protection of your presence; you conceal them in a shelter from human schemes, from quarrelsome tongues.  — Psalm 31:19-20 (CSB) Whatever you go through today, remember, the LORD is with you, as your constant Companion. And He always causes us to triumph in Christ. What a stack of blessing you have piled up for those who worship you, ready and waiting for all who run to you to escape an unkind world. You hide them safely away from the opposition. (Psalm 31:19 MSG) We do not have to be weighed down with worries and full of anxious thoughts. He is our burden bearer. Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden (Psalm 68:19 NASB) I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunt...

Need Wisdom?

Image
It is the LORD who gives wisdom; from him come knowledge and understanding. He provides help and protection for those who are righteous and honest. He protects those who treat others fairly, and guards those who are devoted to him. — Proverbs 2:6-8 (GNT) If any of you needs wisdom to know what you should do, you should ask God, and he will give it to you. God is generous to everyone and doesn’t find fault with them. (James 1:5 GW) He watches over the way of His saints. He will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; He will guide you with His eye. (Psalm 32:8 NKJV) Listen to the still small voice of His Holy Spirit within you and He will show you the best way to go.

Run under His Wings

Image
How exquisite your love, O God! How eager we are to run under your wings, to eat our fill at the banquet you spread as you fill our tankards with Eden spring water. You’re a fountain of cascading light, and you open our eyes to light. — Psalm 36:7-9 (MSG) Run, don't walk. Be eager to take refuge in the shadow of His wings. Our heavenly Father feeds us from the abundance of His house. In the shadow of His wings, we have His protection and His provision. As we abide with Him, He opens our eyes to see the light of His magnificent love. He reveals the light of truth. Abba Father keeps us in His perfect peace, in the midst of the storms, and we find strength to persevere. Run under His Wings.

A Rich Resource

Image
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” — Matthew 6:19-21 (NASB) Our security is not found in our possessions, but in His Presence. The richest resource we have is the presence of Almighty God dwelling in us. For in Him we live and move and have our being… (Acts 17:28 NKJV). In His Presence, we have fullness of joy, everlasting peace and a wealth of wisdom. Treasure His Presence above all else. In His Presence is protection and provision of all that we need. Any investment into His kingdom is one that will pay back full dividends.

Stay with God!

Image
The one thing I ask of the LORD— the thing I seek most— is to live in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, delighting in the LORD’s perfections and meditating in his Temple. For he will conceal me there when troubles come; he will hide me in his sanctuary. He will place me out of reach on a high rock. — Psalm 27:4-5 (NLT) Our heavenly Father is not a dead beat dad. He is alive. He is willing and He is able to handle all of your concerns. He is the ultimate source of all we need, want and desire. While others may cast you aside, the LORD adopts you as His child. Psalm 27:10 (MSG) says, “ My father and mother walked out and left me, but God took me in. ” Don’t despair when people mistreat you. Abide in peace, because we have God’s protection, His provision and most important of all, His Presence. Circumstances may not always be perfect, but our heavenly Father is, and He has a good plan for your life, to give you a future and a hope. I’m sure now I’ll see God’s goodness ...

Why Pray?

Image
And He *said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer’; but you are making it a robbers’ den.” — Matthew 21:13 (NASB) Why pray? It takes our attention off of the problem and puts it on the One who can solve it. Prayer draws us deeper into the Presence of Almighty God. In His Presence is our peace, and our protection. Proverbs 18:10 (NASB), says: The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous runs into it and is safe . When we pray, we enlist the help of our heavenly Father, and it opens the door for the power of His Holy Spirt to work in us and through us. Our prayers help us to persevere and receive the promises of His Word. In Matthew 21:21-22 (NASB), Jesus said, “ Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it will happen. And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive. ” Our prayers can chan...

He is There

Image
I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me. — Psalm 139:7-10 (NLT) His Presence is always with us. No need to hide or run away from His Presence. He goes with us for good and not evil. His Presence is our protection, and our peace. His Presence is our source of strength and power. He is a mighty fortress, and a refuge in times of trouble. May we continually delight ourselves in His Presence.
