Endless Love

Image
Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences—the great magnitude of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is his love! How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God!  — Ephesians 3:18-19 (TPT) What amazing love the God has lavished on us! His love never fails. God hears every cry, knows every anxious thought and He rescues, delivers and saves. Because of His love, Jesus stretched out His arms on the cross and became the ultimate sacrifice to pay the debt of our sins. …Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite him in. And I ask him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you’ll be able to take in with all followers of Jesus the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the...

Name Above Every Name

Image
Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. — Philippians 2:8-11 (NASB) J.E.S.U.S. What a beautiful name! Jesus is Lord of lords and King of kings (Revelation 17:14). His name is above every other name. His name is greater than anxiety, worry and fear. The name of Jesus is over all sickness and disease. The name of Jesus is greater than the rulers and principalities of darkness. Demons tremble at His name. Call on the name of Jesus, our Savior! His name is full of life, peace, and power. His name contains healing, hope and love. Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, t...

For Such a Time as This

Image
There is a wide-open door for a great work here, although many oppose me.   — 1 Corinthians 16:9 (NLT) We are here for such a time as this. If God woke you up this morning, He has something for you to do today. Each day is one step on the journey toward the wonderful plans He has for you. Let us begin each day by offering ourselves to our heavenly Father, as vessels to be occupied by His Holy Spirit. (Romans 12:1) Every day can be extraordinary, as we follow the leading of the Holy Spirit within us. He will open the doors that need to be opened, and the enemy cannot close them. Appreciate the beauty in each moment and make the most of every opportunity God gives you. I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me. (Psalm 57:2 NLT) “I know that You can do all things, and that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted.” (Job 42:2 NASB)

Seek His Will

Image
If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who “worry their prayers” are like wind-whipped waves. Don’t think you’re going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open. — James 1:5-8 (MSG) Don’t be tossed to and fro with each wave. The enemy wants you to drift. Let your hope and trust in God be an anchor that keeps you close to Him. He will help you stay firm and secure in Him. Instead of wavering away from His will, seek His wisdom and guidance always.

A Good Hard Look

Image
So, my dear Christian friends, companions in following this call to the heights, take a good hard look at Jesus. He’s the centerpiece of everything we believe, faithful in everything God gave him to do. — Hebrews 3:1-2 (MSG) Jesus is the centerpiece of all we believe. When everything in our lives revolve around Him, we will thrive, and maintain a proper balance in every area of our lives: spiritual, mental, physical, and our relationships. We will experience difficulties, but when the mountain appears before us, we have to look beyond the mountain and cast our eyes upon Jesus: wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Prince of Peace. He is bigger than any challenge before us. He calls us higher, above the circumstances of this life. When we look high enough, all we can see is Jesus, in plain sight. Take a good hard look at Him, not just a soft momentary glance, but a long hard stare, until mesmerized by His glory. He will cause you to triumph over all your troubles.

Reach Forward!

Image
Begin Afresh! Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, — Philippians 3:13 (NKJV) Stop beating yourself up over the mistakes of days gone by! Rather than dwelling on the past, use your time and energy focusing on the here and now. God gives us new compassions and brand new mercies every morning, so we can begin afresh. Press on toward the dreams and visions God has placed in your heart! What has God called you to do today?

Walk in His Presence

Image
He has saved me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. And so I walk in the LORD’s presence as I live here on earth! — Psalm 116:8-9 (NLT) Praise our God, beloved children of the Most High! Let the sound of His praise be heard all over the land. He redeemed our lives from the pit of destruction and kept our feet from slipping. If we fall He is there to catch us. The tears we have sown shall bring in a bountiful harvest of joy. Let us walk in the life-giving light of the LORD’s presence, every moment He gives us here on earth.

Stay Alert & Clearheaded

So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded. Night is the time when people sleep and drinkers get drunk. But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation. — 1 Thessalonians 5:6-8 (NLT) We are children of light. We belong to the day. Don't get caught off guard by the deeds of those who walk in the dark. Let us guard our hearts with the breastplate of faith and love, and shield our minds and thoughts with the helmet of our salvation.

Never Give Up!

Since we are surrounded by so many examples of faith, we must get rid of everything that slows us down, especially sin that distracts us. We must run the race that lies ahead of us and never give up.  — Hebrews 12:1 (GW) Let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. May we get rid of everything that slows us up and weighs us down. Focus on Jesus and allow nothing to distract you. Make it your only aim to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus gave you.

The Promise of Perfect Peace

I will listen to what God the LORD says; he promises peace to his people, his faithful servants— but let them not turn to folly. Psalm 85:8 (NIV) Listen to what the LORD says. He will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in Him (Isaiah 26:3). Instead of engaging in thoughtless or reckless behavior, His faithful saints, abide in the LORD, in a place of perfect peace and serenity.

Keep Building!

A wise woman builds her home, but a foolish woman tears it down with her own hands. Proverbs 14:1 (NLT) A wise woman is a builder. She builds her home on the Rock, the strong foundation of Jesus Christ. And her house does not fall when the storms of life beat against it. She doesn't let any unwholesome talk come out of her mouth, but only what is helpful for building others up (Ephesians 4:29). The wise woman builds up her faith and strengthens her family with unconditional love and through fervent prayer. May God bless each one of us with the strength and perseverance to keep building.

God-Pleasers

"I know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity." 1 Chronicles 29:17a (NIV) Since our heavenly Father is pleased with integrity, let's make sure we are men and women of integrity. When we give our word, we are to keep it, even if it is no longer convenient for us. Integrity calls for us to adhere to the moral standards of God's Word, in every area of our lives. Integrity is doing what you know is right: loving God and loving our neighbors, no matter how unloving they may be. When you do this, know that you have put a smile on the face of God.  Love, Jackie
