Surely righteous people are praising your name; the godly will live in your presence. — Psalm 140:13 (NLT) In Genesis 3:8, Adam and Eve heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden, and they hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. And Jonah tried to flee from the presence of the LORD (Jonah 1:3). The biggest mistake and most futile effort we could ever make is to try to hide or flee from the Presence of our great God. Without God’s help we are destined for failure. As children of God, we can praise His name because we have the most amazing opportunity and privilege to live in His precious Presence. In the shelter of the Most High there is protection and provision, and He lavishes His love upon us. In His Presence, His mighty power enables us to overcome the forces of evil and live in freedom and victory. In His Presence, we have a peace that cannot be moved by earthly circumstances. ...for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ — Acts 17:28 (NKJV) When we try to “do” life without God, it leads to frustration and failure. In Him, we are able to live the abundant life. In Him, there is fullness of joy. The Lord is the only One who can complete us. We were created to live and move and exist in Him. Don't let the enemy draw you away from the very source or your life, your purpose and your extraordinary destiny.

Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. — Proverbs 16:3 (NIV) There is a way that seems right in man's eyes, but it leads to failure, destruction and even death. When we take our eyes off of Jesus in an attempt to do what He has called us to do, our own way, we can easily deceive ourselves or fall prey to a myriad of distractions and pitfalls. As we closely follow the LORD and walk in His ways, He will direct our steps and establish our plans.

I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency]. — Philippians 4:13 (AMP) We can do all things through Christ (NKJV). The key word here is “ through ” or “ in. ” If we rely on our own power and strength to accomplish anything, our confidence is in the flesh, and not in the Spirit of God. This almost always guarantees failure. In order to have the ability to do ALL things, we must operate through Christ and let His power work in us and through us. In order to experience good success and walk in victory, we are to be filled and led by the Spirit of God within us. Any type of vehicle has only one driver’s seat. If you want to get somewhere in life, leave the steering wheel in God’s hands!

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. — Proverbs 29:18 (KJV) In order to thrive, we must have a vision for our future. With no plan failure is inevitable. As we make our plans, the LORD will direct our steps (Proverbs 16:9). “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, it will not tarry,” (Habakkuk 2:2-3). Get a vision and run with it!
