He Delights in Our Prosperity

Image
Let them shout for joy and rejoice, who favor my vindication; And let them say continually, “The LORD be magnified, Who delights in the prosperity of His servant.” — Psalms 35:27 (NASB1995) Prosperity is a state of flourishing and thriving (experiencing good success) in all areas of life. Yahweh has pleasure in the prosperity of His people. Proverbs 13:21 (NASB1995) says: Adversity pursues sinners, but the righteous will be rewarded with prosperity. Psalms 37:11 says, the humble will inherit the land and will delight themselves in abundant prosperity. Deuteronomy 30:15 (NLT) says: “Now listen! Today I am giving you a choice between life and death, between prosperity and disaster.” Every day we get to make a decision to trust in and follow Yahweh. When we don’t choose Him, we are headed for disaster, destruction and death. Choose life in order that you may live! Who is the man who fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way he should choose. His soul will abide in prosperity, and h...

An Open Door

Image
“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: He who is holy, who is true, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, and who shuts and no one opens, says this: ‘I know your deeds. Behold, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and have kept My word, and have not denied My name. — Revelation 3:7-8 (NASB1995) Like the faithful church in Philadelphia, keep the Word of God and never deny His name. And know that no one can shut the door the Lord opens for you. However, not every open door of opportunity is of the Lord. Let us ask for wisdom and discernment to go through the open door God has for us, and to proceed at the proper time. Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened. (M...

So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God. … let us not criticize one another anymore, but rather determine this—not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block or a source of temptation in another believer’s way. — Romans 14:12-13 (AMP) ...for the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking [what one likes], but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (Romans 14:17 AMP) So then, let us pursue [with enthusiasm] the things which make for peace and the building up of one another [things which lead to spiritual growth]. (Romans 14:19 AMP) So encourage each other and build each other up... (See 1 Thessalonians 5:11 NLT) Do not let unwholesome [foul, profane, worthless, vulgar] words ever come out of your mouth, but only such speech as is good for building up others, according to the need and the occasion, so that it will be a blessing to those who hear [you speak]. (Ephesians 4:29 AMP) Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just...

Rely on God

Image
…We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it. In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead. — 2 Corinthians 1:8-9 (NLT) Whenever we face challenges, may we always remember to rely on God and not ourselves. Not only does He go before us and make a way, He also goes with us and empowers us to do what He has called us to do. Even when the situation appears hopeless, the Word of God is true, and Romans 8:28 (AMP) says, that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. Let us love God with all our heart, soul and strength. And be about fulfilling His plan and purpose for our lives.

God of Restoration

Image
Don’t be afraid, O land. Be glad now and rejoice, for the LORD has done great things. The LORD says, “I will give you back what you lost to the swarming locusts, the hopping locusts, the stripping locusts, and the cutting locusts. It was I who sent this great destroying army against you. — Joel 2:21, 25 (NLT) The LORD is a God of restoration. He will turn your mourning into dancing. Psalm 71:20-21 (NLT) says, You have allowed me to suffer much hardship, but you will restore me to life again and lift me up from the depths of the earth. You will restore me to even greater honor and comfort me once again. We give great honor to those who endure under suffering. For instance, you know about Job, a man of great endurance. You can see how the Lord was kind to him at the end, for the Lord is full of tenderness and mercy. (James 5:11) When Job prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes. In fact, the LORD gave him twice as much as before! (Job 42:10) Restore us, O LORD, and bring u...

Never Shaken

Image
When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation . — Proverbs 10:25 (NASB) The storms of life may come, but the righteous will never be shaken. (See Proverbs 10:30) The LORD will be the security and stability of our times. (See Isaiah 33:6 AMP) After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. (1 Peter 5:10 NASB) So, brothers and sisters, be strong in the Lord. Draw your strength and might from God. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.  — Ephesians 6:11 (NASB)

Seek Him Continually

Image
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. — Matthew 6:33 (NLT) Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face continually. (1 Chronicles 16:11 NASB) May we seek God's will in all we do. Put Him first in how you spend your time, use your finances and in how you utilize the talents and gifts He has bestowed upon you. Psalm 115:12 says, the LORD has been mindful of us. Let your mind be occupied with thoughts about His greatness and goodness more than anything else. Give Him your whole heart and full adoration.  Worthy is the LORD, our God, to receive all praise, glory and honor! You have been my constant helper; therefore, I sing for joy under the protection of Your wings. My soul clings to You; Your right hand reaches down and holds me up. — Psalm 63:7-8 (VOICE)

More in Store

Image
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. — Hebrews 12:1 (NLT) Don’t let the worries of this world weigh you down and trip you up, because we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28) So run your race with passion and persistence. Actively pursue His purpose for you. We serve a great God and we are made in His image. Therefore, our Creator placed greatness inside of you. Never doubt the precious promises of God, which leads to the sin of unbelief. Instead, expect the extraordinary and don’t settle for less than God’s best. No matter where you are in your race, God has more in store for you! … we’d better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spi...

He is Mightier

Image
The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, than the mighty waves of the sea. — Psalm 93:4 (NKJV)  The enemy may be making lots of noise regarding your spouse, your children, your finances or your job/business, but remember that the LORD our God is mightier than the noise of the enemy. Drown out the noise of the enemy with praises to Almighty God. Lift up your voice and call upon our awesome God. The minute I said, “I’m slipping, I’m falling,” your love, God, took hold and held me fast (Psalm 94:18 MSG). Unless the LORD had helped me, I would soon have settled in the silence of the grave (Psalm 94:17 NLT).

No Doubt

Image
“…Stop doubting and believe.” — John 20:27 (NIV) In Exodus 15:1-21, the Israelites were dancing and singing praises to God because He led them through the sea on dry ground and drowned their enemies. In Exodus 15:24, just three days into the wilderness they were complaining, then in Exodus 17:7 (NKJV) the children of Israel were saying, “ Is the LORD among us or not? ” Wow! How quickly can we see God do a mighty work in one situation and then when faced with another difficulty retreat back to a place of little faith? May we never doubt. It is a tool of the enemy. Doubt is deadly. It is a slow leak in the balloon of hope. With doubt, dreams die and hope fades away. Doubt paralyzes faith. James 1:6 (NIV) says, the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. If you are constantly blown and tossed by the wind, it will be difficult to reach your desired destination. Know that God is with you and He is for you. He intentionally knit you together in your mot...

Delight in Every Detail

Image
The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. — Psalm 37:23 (NLT) As long as you are following the LORD, you can take every step in faith, knowing that He is with you and His plans for you are good, to give you a future and a hope. He delights to be involved in every detail of our lives. When it comes to us, He leaves nothing to chance. Though we may fall, we shall not be utterly cast down, for the Lord grasps our hand in support and upholds us. (Psalm 37:24 AMP). Let us be grateful that He cares enough to be concerned.

Grow Stronger!

Image
The war between the house of Saul and the house of David lasted a long time. David grew stronger and stronger, while the house of Saul grew weaker and weaker.  — 2 Samuel 3:1 (NIV) In 1 Samuel 16:13, David is anointed as king and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward, but he had to endure many trials before the Word of the LORD was fulfilled and he became king. In the meantime, the wars he fought made him grow stronger, instead of weakening him. The battles we fight may last a long time, but God is faithful. His word that goes out from His mouth will not return to Him empty, but will accomplish what He desires and achieve the purpose for which He sent it (Isaiah 55:11). Amen! May we grow stronger and stronger as we fight the good fight of faith!

He Speaks Peace

I will hear what God the LORD will speak, for He will speak peace to His people and to His saints; But let them not turn back to folly.  — Psalm 85:8 (NKJV) Listen with expectancy for the voice of the LORD and what He will speak to you regarding your situation. Do not let the enemy steal your peace with his lies. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. The LORD will keep those whose mind is stayed on Him, in perfect peace, because he trusts in God (Isaiah 26:3).

An Ever-Present Help

God is our refuge and strength,  an ever-present help in times of trouble.  That is why we are not afraid  even when the earth quakes  or the mountains topple into the depths of the sea.  — Psalm 46:1-2 (GW) God is a very present help. He is always there! When disaster strikes, He is there. In sickness and in health, He is standing by your side. Even death does not separate us from our heavenly Father. Just look to Him to be all that you need Him to be in your situation.

God is on Our Side!

With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn't hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn't gladly and freely do for us? Romans 8:31-32 (The Message) Our heavenly Father loves us so much, He did not spare his own Son, but gave Him up for us all. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us (Romans 8:34). How can we lose with God on our side? Absolutely nothing can get between us and God's love. Despite all the difficulties we face in life, we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us. God gives us an overwhelming victory!

Renew Your Strength

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:30-31 (NKJ) Those who wait on the LORD, find new strength. If we charge ahead of God we are likely to find ourselves tired and weary and falling by the wayside. Wait on direction from the LORD and for wisdom from His Holy Spirit within, and you shall mount up with wings like eagles and soar toward your God-given destiny.

Your Rear Guard

The LORD will go before you, the God of Israel will be your rear guard. Isaiah 52:12 (NIV) The LORD goes before you and makes the rocky places smooth. He goes behind you with His umbrella of protection. If you fall He is there to catch you. If you grow weary and faint, He carries you. Praise the God of Israel. Love, Jackie
