Direct Me

Image
“Direct me, Yahweh, throughout my journey so I can experience your plans for my life. Reveal the life-paths that are pleasing to you.” — Psalms 25:4 (TPT) We can tire ourselves out trying to figure out how to handle a difficult situation, or which way to go. This can lead to anxiety, worry and weariness. Instead, focus your attention on Yahweh, our great and awesome God, and yield to His will. He knows every detail of our lives and He already has a solution to every problem, an answer for every question, and a way of escape for every temptation. And with God nothing will be impossible. (See Luke 1:37) Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:20-21 AMP)

Trust Confidently

Image
Trust in and rely confidently on the LORD with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, and He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way]. — Proverbs 3:5-6 (AMP) …know this day, and consider it in your heart, that the LORD Himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other. (See Deuteronomy 4:39) How blessed is the man who has made Yahweh his trust, and has not turned to the proud, nor to those who stray into falsehood. (Psalms 40:4 LSB) Acknowledge that He is your Maker, the Creator of heaven and earth and all they contain. Recognize that it is only in Him that we live, move and exist. Trust in Yahweh forever, for in Yah—Yahweh Himself—we have an everlasting Rock.  (Isaiah 26:4 LSB) Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! — Psalms 34:8 (NKJV)

Open Arms

Image
The LORD says, “I was ready to respond, but no one asked for help. I was ready to be found, but no one was looking for me. I said, ‘Here I am, here I am!’ to a nation that did not call on my name. All day long I opened my arms to a rebellious people. But they follow their own evil paths and their own crooked schemes.” — Isaiah 65:1-2 (NLT) Yahweh is always ready to respond. He never sleeps, nor slumbers. His arms are open wide to welcome the lost into His family and into the glorious Kingdom of God. He draws us to Himself with lovingkindness. When you call on Him, He will answer. When you seek Him with all of your heart, He will be found by you. Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. (See 2 Corinthians 6:2) Ask for His help, today. “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who...

He Teaches Us

Image
This is what the LORD says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow. Oh, that you had listened to my commands! Then you would have had peace flowing like a gentle river and righteousness rolling over you like waves in the sea.” — Isaiah 48:17-18 (NLT) May we turn a deaf ear to the voices of this world and listen to the still small voice of Yahweh. He teaches us what is good for us. For the LORD is God, and he created the heavens and earth and put everything in place. He made the world to be lived in, not to be a place of empty chaos. “I am the LORD,” he says, “and there is no other.” (Isaiah 45:18 NLT) He speaks only what is true and declares only what is right. He will never go back on His word. (See Isaiah 45:19 & 23) “ Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me. Only I can tell you the future before it even happen...

Trust in the LORD

Image
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. — Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) Trying to lean on our own understanding often leads to confusion and doubt. Instead of trying to figure things out on your own, with the limited knowledge that we have, let us trust in Yahweh, Who knows all. He is the source of all wisdom and knowledge. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the LORD and turn away from evil. (Psalm 6:7 NLT) When we know, acknowledge and recognize Yahweh, in all our ways, He will make our paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block our way]. Amen and hallelujah!   (See Proverbs 3:6 AMP)

Acknowledge Him

Image
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. — Proverbs 3:6 (NASB) May we acknowledge God in all we do and say. In the use of our time, talents, gifts, finances, etc., let us recognize and appreciate the Source. By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. (2 Peter 1:3 NLT) God is a very gracious Giver. Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down to us from God our Father. (See James 1:17)  As we continually seek God's will in all we do, He will show us which path to take. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. — Proverbs 3:6 (MSG)

Choose the Narrow Road

Image
“You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.” — Matthew 7:13-14 (NLT) Choose the narrow road that leads to the gateway of life. This is what the LORD says your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow.” (Isaiah 48:17) May we stay on the path the LORD shows us and press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. (Philippians 3:14 NLT)

He Remains Forever

Image
Long ago you laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with your hands. They will perish, but you remain forever; they will wear out like old clothing. You will change them like a garment and discard them. But you are always the same; you will live forever. — Psalm 102:25-27 (NLT) The world around us is in a constant state of change, but we can count on the stability of our God. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He will never leave us nor forsake us. He refreshes and restores my soul (life); He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake (Psalm 23:3 AMP). For this is God, our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even until death. (Psalm 48:14 AMP)

By His Light

Image
When His lamp shone upon my head, and when by His light I walked through darkness; — Job 29:3 (NKJV) How do we walk through the dark times in our lives? By His light. God is the LORD, and He has given us light; (Psalm 118:27). Let us walk in the light of the LORD. For He lights your lamp; the LORD your God illuminates your darkness, so you can see with clarity, the way you are to go. He smooths out the rugged places. He makes your feet like the feet of deer, and sets you on your high places. (Psalm 18:33)                                                                                                       I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light ...

Be Still

Image
“Be still and know (recognize, understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth.” — Psalm 46:10 (NKJV) Quiet yourself before the LORD. Let the thoughts racing through your head come to a halt. Know that He is the great, “I AM.” God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 NIV). Recognize that the LORD is glorious and strong (Psalm 96:7 NLT). Nothing is too difficult for Him. Understand that He is always present. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 28:20, “…and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, and He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way]. (Proverbs 3:6 AMP)

On the Lookout

Image
“God is always on the alert, constantly on the lookout for people who are totally committed to him…” — 2 Chronicles 16:9a (MSG) Trust in and rely confidently on the LORD with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, and He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way]. (Proverbs 3:5-6 AMP). May we stay totally committed to the LORD, to His way and to His will. As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. (Psalm 18:30 NKJV).

The Best Pathway

Image
The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” — Psalm 32:8 (NLT) Our paths differ so let us not compare or judge one another’s journey. Know that God is guiding you along the best pathway for your life, to fulfill His purpose in you, and bring about the good plans He has just for you. Stay on the path, ignore the distractions and don’t take any detours. Never stop praying (1 Thessalonians 5:17, NLT). Never stop believing. Never stop standing on God’s Word and His wonderful promises. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:18, NLT)

In All Your Ways…

Image
Trust in and rely confidently on the LORD with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, and He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way]. — Proverbs 3:5-6 (AMP) Do you want the obstacles in your life removed? Seek to know the LORD, first and foremost, above all else. In all your ways, know Him, not just your going to church way, but in your everyday life way. In all your ways, be loving, forgiving, kind and compassionate. We acknowledge Him when we accept His way as the best way and put it into action. What little insight we think we have cannot begin to compare to God’s infinite wisdom. Recognize that He is greater than anything that attempts to block your path and rely confidently on the LORD. He is the only Way!

He Refreshes & Restores

Image
He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him—not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake. — Psalm 23:3 (AMP) The LORD says, “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten,
the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust,” (Joel 2:25 NKJV). He will restore all that the enemy has stolen. In Matthew 11:28 (AMP), Jesus says, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]” Come to Jesus and be refreshed!

Lean & Trust

Image
Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn [entirely] away from evil. — Proverbs 3:5-7 (AMP) Trying to figure things out on your own and handle everything in your own power and strength, will wear you out. Instead, learn to lean on and trust in the Lord, in the midst of every situation. Always look to Him for wisdom and direction. And be confident! Don’t let the enemy get you to question and doubt our God, His ability or His Word. Our God is able and His Word stands forever. Nothing is too difficult for Him. Amen!

The Good Shepherd

But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. — Matthew 9:36 (NKJV) While observing some sheep on Friday, I gained a visual understanding of why the Word says we are like sheep. Without the shepherd, the sheep wander around aimlessly. The only time they made any progress is when the shepherd gave them direction. Just like the sheep, we need our Shepherd. Jesus is the good shepherd, who gives His life for the sheep (John 10:11). Jesus is moved with compassion to guide and protect us. He refreshes and restores our souls and leads us on the right paths. Instead of wandering through life aimlessly, always follow the Good Shepherd, no matter where He may lead.

2013 Crowned with His Goodness!

You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance. — Psalm 65:11 (NKJV) God has wrapped His goodness around this year. The LORD abounds in goodness and truth, mercy and grace. And His goodness endures continually (Psalm 52:1). Believe that you will see the goodness of the LORD, in the land of the living. The LORD says, “My people shall be satisfied with My goodness,” (Jeremiah 31:14). For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with great goodness (Psalm 107:9). Surely His blessings of goodness and mercy shall fall upon you in abundance, as you follow the steps of the LORD, on the path of life. Let us proclaim 2013 as the year of God’s bounty. The year of abundant goodness and grace. A year that we are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of His house (Psalm 36:8). That we may have an abundance for every good work God has given us to do (2 Corinthians 9:8). Amen!

Rebel Not!

“There are those who rebel against the light; They do not know its ways nor abide in its paths.”  — Job 24:13 (NKJV) Don't be one of those who fight against God. Who do you think is going to win that battle? Jesus came as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Him should not abide in darkness (John 12:46). We were once darkness, but now we are light in the Lord. Let us walk as children of light and He will lead us along on the path of life. For this light we have within us produces everything that is good, that has God’s approval, and that is true (Ephesians 5:8-9). Abide in the light!

Our Paths: Planned and Prepared

For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]. — Ephesians 2:10 (AMP) When we stay on the path God shows us, we can remain in peace knowing that He has planned and prepared the way for us. No matter how many obstacles you encounter, be confident that our heavenly Father has already navigated a way over or through each one. As long as we abide in Christ, we are living the good life, which God prearranged and made ready for us to live. Glory Hallelujah!

Crowned with Goodness

You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance.  — Psalm 65:11 (NKJV) This year is crowned with the goodness of the LORD. He has not brought you this far, to leave you now. People may ride over your head; you may go through fire and water, but God brings us to a place of abundance (Psalm 66:12). Abundant peace, grace, joy, etc. Our heavenly Father amply supplies all of our needs, according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
