Manna for Your Morning

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. — Psalm 23:1-4 (NASB) No matter how dark the valley you may walk through, remember the Shepherd is with you. The Amplified Bible says: The LORD is my Shepherd to feed, to guide and to shield me… (Psalm 23:1a). I will say to the LORD, “ My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust! ” For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper and from the deadly pestilence. (Psalm 91:2-3 NASB)

With the loving mercy of our God, a new day from heaven will dawn upon us. It will shine on those who live in darkness, in the shadow of death. It will guide us into the path of peace.” — Luke 1:78-79 (NCV) Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous (Psalm 112:4 NKJV). Jesus is the light of the world (John 8:12). His marvelous light shines on those who live in darkness, and offers hope, peace, and freedom. As the Prince of Peace, He guides our feet into the way of everlasting peace and abundant life. Let us arise, and shine! For our light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.

God’s Sunrise will break in upon us, shining on those in the darkness, those sitting in the shadow of death, then showing us the way, one foot at a time, down the path of peace. — Luke 1:79  (MSG) In spite of the tense times we live in, as believers, we can experience everlasting peace. In the midst of the turmoil, we have the Prince of Peace, the One who has overcome the world. In the severe storms of life, we have the strong tower as a refuge. Stay tuned in to His Presence, and be led by His Holy Spirit. He will guide us along the right paths, one step at a time. He shows us the way of life and fills us with joy in His Presence. (Acts 2:28) The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned.” — Matthew 4:16 (NKJV) Just reflecting this morning on how grateful I am that God brought me out of the darkness and into His marvelous light. For He has rescued us and has drawn us to Himself from the dominion of darkness, and has transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, (Colossians 1:13 AMP) What a privilege for us that God took us out of the domain of darkness, brought us into His Kingdom and adopted us into His family, to enjoy fellowship with Him and our wonderful Savior, Jesus. You groped your way through that murk once, but no longer. You’re out in the open now. The bright light of Christ makes your way plain. So no more stumbling around. “I have seen your salvation, which you have prepared for all people. He is a light to reveal God to the nations, and he is the glory of your people Israel!” — Luke 2:30-32 (NLT) The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined (Isaiah 9:2). Jesus is the light of the world. Those who follow Him shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life. (John 8:12). In His light, there is salvation and revelation. In the light of the Lord, there is everlasting peace, inexpressible joy, and unconditional love. As we live in the light, His strength and power are made available to us and we can walk in victory over the dark forces. Arise, and shine! For your light has come and the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.  (Isaiah 60:1) Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16 NKJV)

Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me. — Psalm 23:4 (AMP) No matter what dark valley you go through, no one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For He will be with you as He was with Moses. He will not fail you or abandon you (Joshua 1:5 NLT). This is His command—“be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9 NLT). The LORD is our loving shepherd; He is our protection and our guide. And best of all, He is with you!

Because of and through the heart of tender mercy and loving-kindness of our God, a Light from on high will dawn upon us and visit [us] To shine upon and give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to direct and guide our feet in a straight line into the way of peace. — Luke 1:78-79 (AMP) We no longer have to sit in darkness, loneliness or depression. The light of Jesus shines upon us. Let us be guided by His Light, along the path of abundant life and everlasting peace. And we shall be continually filled with the loving-kindness and tender mercies of our great God. Jesus, the giver of light, visits us every moment of every day. If you open the door of your heart, He will come right in and dine with you, and you with Him. Oh what sweet, sweet fellowship He desires to have with you!

We have no need to fear because our heavenly Father is with us. He protects us and guides us along on the path of life. The LORD will keep us in perfect peace as our minds are stayed upon Him (Isaiah 26:3). Rejoice that the Presence of the LORD is with you!
