The Lord Stands With You

Image
“The first time I was brought before the judge, no one came with me. Everyone abandoned me. May it not be counted against them. But the Lord stood with me and gave me strength so that I might preach the Good News in its entirety for all the Gentiles to hear. And he rescued me from certain death.” — 2 Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭16‬-‭17 (NLT) The LORD will give strength to His people; The LORD will bless His people with peace. (Psalms 29:11 NKJV) Know that when all others abandon you, Yahweh stands with you.  “Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face evermore!” (Psalms‬ ‭105‬:‭4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

He Rescues

Image
The next day as we were being violently storm-tossed, they began to jettison the cargo; and on the third day they threw the ship’s tackle overboard with their own hands. Since neither sun nor stars appeared for many days, and no small storm was assailing us, from then on all hope of our being saved was gradually abandoned.   — Acts 27:18-20 (NASB1995) When the storms of life seem to go on and on, do not lose hope. The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. (Psalms 34:17 NLT) In Isaiah 43:2 (NLT), the LORD says: “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” You may experience some loss in the midst of the storm. There may be some things you need to get rid of to lighten your load, but the LORD will rescue you. (See Psalms 34:19)

“To Whom Shall We Go?”

Image
As a result of this many of His disciples abandoned Him, and no longer walked with Him. So Jesus said to the twelve [disciples], “You do not want to leave too, do you?” Simon Peter answered, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You [alone] have the words of eternal life [you are our only hope]. We have believed and confidently trusted, and [even more] we have come to know [by personal observation and experience] that You are the Holy One of God [the Christ, the Son of the living God].” — John 6:66-69 (AMP) In John 6:51, Yeshua said: “I am the Living Bread that came down out of heaven. If anyone eats of this Bread [believes in Me, accepts Me as Savior], he will live forever. And the Bread that I will give for the life of the world is My flesh (body).” Instead of being among those who desert the Savior of the world, be among those who dwell with Him and in Him. May we come to know Him personally and experience an intimate relationship with Him. To whom do you consistently go? You may run to someo...

“The heavens are shocked at such a thing and shrink back in horror and dismay,” says the LORD. “For my people have done two evil things: They have abandoned me— the fountain of living water. And they have dug for themselves cracked cisterns that can hold no water at all!” — Jeremiah 2:12-13 (NLT) In Jeremiah 2:11 (NLT) Yahweh says: “… my people have exchanged their glorious God for worthless idols!” In Jeremiah 2:32, He says, “for years on end my people have forgotten me.” “But the LORD is the only true God. He is the living God and the everlasting King! The whole earth trembles at his anger. The nations cannot stand up to his wrath. Say this to those who worship other gods: “Your so-called gods, who did not make the heavens and earth, will vanish from the earth and from under the heavens.” But the LORD made the earth by his power, and he preserves it by his wisdom. With his own understanding he stretched out the heavens.” (Jeremiah 10:10-12 NLT) May we never be like the children of I...

“WHY?”

Image
Then Gideon said to him, “O my lord, if Yahweh is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His wondrous deeds which our fathers recounted to us, saying, ‘Did not Yahweh bring us up from Egypt?’ But now Yahweh has abandoned us and given us into the hand of Midian.” — Judges 6:13 (LSB) We may sometimes wonder “ why? ” certain things are happening to us, but the more important thing is “ WHO ” is with us in the midst of all the trials and tribulations. As Yahweh told Gideon in Judges 6:16 (AMP), He will certainly be with you. And if God is for us, who can be [successful] against us? (See Romans 8:31 AMP) When you go through deep waters, He will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. (See Isaiah 43:2 NLT) And thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ… (See 2 Corinthians 2:14 NASB1995) And Yahweh did not abando...

He is Mindful of Us

Image
But one has [solemnly] testified somewhere [in Scripture], saying, “What is man, that You are mindful of him, or the son of man, that You graciously care for him? — Hebrews 2:6 (AMP) Never listen to the lies of the enemy. Yahweh has not forgotten about you. He has not abandoned you. For He Himself has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless]…” (See Hebrews 13:5 AMP) Yahweh is so attentive to you, He knows how many hairs you have on your head. Take comfort in His Presence and be strengthened. He is with you and His light will guide you in the way you are to go. “Every single moment you are thinking of me! How precious and wonderful to consider that you cherish me constantly in your every thought! O God, your desires toward me are more than the grains of sand on every shore! When I awake each morning, you’re still with me.” — Psalms 139:17-18 (TPT)

He Stands With You

The first time I was brought before the judge, no one came with me. Everyone abandoned me. May it not be counted against them. But the Lord stood with me and gave me strength so that I might preach the Good News in its entirety for all the Gentiles to hear. And he rescued me from certain death. — 2 Timothy 4:16-17 (NLT) Everyone may desert you, but always remember, the Lord stands with you. He will strengthen and empower you to do all that He has called you to do. Yeshua, the righteous Messiah is our Advocate and support. And if God is for us, who can be successful against us? (See Romans 8:31 AMP) “All things are possible for the one who believes and trusts in Yeshua!” (Mark 9:23 AMP) You can do all things [which He has called you to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers you [to fulfill His purpose... (See Philippians 4:13 AMP)

Our First Love

Image
Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. — 1 John 2:15-16 (NLT) Don’t dilute your love for the Father, by setting the affections of your heart on this world. Listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. “ I know you are patiently enduring and holding firm on behalf of My name. You have not become faint. However, I have this against you: you have abandoned your first love. ” (Revelation 2:3-4 VOICE) If you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, setting your desires and affections on the heavenly things, not on earthly things, which have only temporal value. Just as the Father has lavished His love upon us, may Jesus be our first love. May His Presence be the passionate l...

First Priority

Image
“ However, I have this against you: you have abandoned your first love. ” — Revelation 2:4 (VOICE) Never abandon your first love. May your love grow deeper and deeper for the One who will never leave us nor forsake us. Keep Jesus as the first priority in your life, for He cares about you and watches over you very carefully. Let us continually draw near to Him and we will receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Fix your eyes on Jesus, and do not allow the things of this world to distract you and draw your affections away from our Savior, the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end (Revelation 1:8). He is King of kings and Lord of lords!

Deeply at Peace

Image
Jesus answered them, “Do you finally believe? In fact, you’re about to make a run for it—saving your own skins and abandoning me. But I’m not abandoned. The Father is with me. I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.” — John 16:31-33 (MSG) When others abandon you, remember the Presence of God is with you. In His Presence, you have the power, peace and grace to do all He has called you to do. Even in the midst of difficulties and challenges, you will be unshakable and deeply at peace as you trust in Jesus.

Never Thirst Again

Image
Jacob’s well was there; and Jesus, tired from the long walk, sat wearily beside the well about noontime. Soon a Samaritan woman came to draw water, and Jesus said to her, “Please give me a drink.” — John 4:6-7 (NLT) In Jeremiah 2:13, the LORD says: “ For my people have done two evil things: They have abandoned me— the fountain of living water. And they have dug for themselves cracked cisterns that can hold no water at all! ” Which wells do you draw from as your source? The well of your career or business? Do you go to the well of people-pleasing, trying to get your fill on the approval of others? Do you rely on the well of money or the well of sensual pleasures? These wells will never satisfy our thirst. Jesus is the only source that can satisfy. Just like the woman at the well, He knows everything you ever did and He still loves you. In John 4:10 (NLT), Jesus replied, “If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you ...

Not Abandoned

Image
“But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have told you.” — John 14:26 (CSB)  “I’m leaving you well and whole. That’s my parting gift to you. Peace. I don’t leave you the way you’re used to being left—feeling abandoned, bereft. So don’t be upset. Don’t be distraught.” — John 14:27 MSG In John 14:18 (NKJV) Jesus told His disciples, “ I will not leave you orphans …” He said, “ I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; ” (John 14:16 NASB) We have the Holy Spirit, our Helper and Counselor. He is always with us. Seek His help and counsel. He is the Spirit of truth (John 14:17) Rely on His wisdom. He is at work in every Believer to bring about the perfect will of God. Whatever we accomplish for the glory of God is not by might nor by power, but by His Spirit. (Zechariah 4:6)

His Parting Gift

Image
I’m leaving you well and whole. That’s my parting gift to you. Peace. I don’t leave you the way you’re used to being left—feeling abandoned, bereft. So don’t be upset. Don’t be distraught. — John 14:27 (MSG) When we get caught up in fear and worry, we are allowing the enemy to steal our peace. We can experience peace in the midst of chaos because in Christ, we have a constant companion, His Presence, dwelling inside of us. We have the Spirit of a conquering King. Keep your eyes on Jesus, be led by the Holy Spirit and you can be confident that He will see you through. Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all. — 2 Thessalonians 3:16 (NLT)

Drink Living Water!

Image
“For my people have done two evil things: They have abandoned me— the fountain of living water. And they have dug for themselves cracked cisterns that can hold no water at all!” — Jeremiah 2:13 (NLT)   O LORD, the hope of Israel, all who turn away from you will be disgraced. They will be buried in the dust of the earth, for they have abandoned the LORD, the fountain of living water. — Jeremiah 17:13 (NLT) “Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters;” (Isaiah 55:1 NKJV) Drinking from the wells of this world, will leave you empty and thirsty. When we drink of the Living Water, we are richly satisfied, and experience the abundant life. In John 4:13-14 (NKJV), Jesus said, “ Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life. ” And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Begin...

Never Shaken

Image
When the whirlwind passes by, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation. — Proverbs 10:25 (NKJV) We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. (2 Corinthians 4:8-9 NLT) In Jesus, we have an everlasting foundation. Storms may come and go, but we have a firm foundation that lasts forever. Therefore, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: “Look! I am placing a foundation stone in Jerusalem, a firm and tested stone. It is a precious cornerstone that is safe to build on. Whoever believes need never be shaken.  — Isaiah 28:16 (NLT)

Well & Whole

Image
“I’m leaving you well and whole. That’s my parting gift to you. Peace. I don’t leave you the way you’re used to being left—feeling abandoned, bereft. So don’t be upset. Don’t be distraught.” — John 14:27 (MSG) As we live our lives in relationship with Jesus, He makes us well & whole. He gives sight to the blind and makes the lame walk again. The woman that had the issue of blood for 12 years, spent all she had on physicians and could not be healed by any. But one contact with Jesus and she was healed immediately. (Luke 8:43,47) No matter how many years, you have been dealing with your issue, Jesus can make you well and whole too. Abide in the peace Jesus gives. He will never abandon you. “I call to God; GOD will help me. At dusk, dawn, and noon I sigh deep sighs—he hears, he rescues. My life is well and whole, secure in the middle of danger Even while thousands are lined up against me. God hears it all, and from his judge’s bench puts them in their place…”  (Psalm 55:16-1...

Living Water

Image
“For My people have committed two evils: They have abandoned (rejected) Me, the fountain of living water, and they have carved out their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water.” — Jeremiah 2:13  (AMP) When we try to do things our own way, apart from God, we are utilizing a broken cistern that cannot hold water. The result will be futile and empty. Let us receive the Living Water from our heavenly Father. Water brings life to things and causes them to grow. It washes and it cleanses. Open your heart and receive the living water of God. Jesus said, “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” (John 7:38 NKJV) “ If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water. ” (John 4:10  NKJV)

Persevere & Overcome

Image
We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. — 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NLT) May we magnify the good that God is doing in our lives. Be the bearer of good news, and not the voice of doom and gloom. Let us talk more about what is going right, than what is wrong with the world. Whatever you go through today, remember God is always with you and He is for you. Our heavenly Father will never abandon you. When you are in the middle of a difficult situation, know that God has already made a way out, and He will reveal it to you, step by step. He will also give you the strength to persevere and overcome. The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again … (Proverbs 24:16a NLT)

He Stands with You

But the Lord stood with me and gave me strength so that I might preach the Good News in its entirety for all the Gentiles to hear. And he rescued me from certain death. — 2 Timothy 4:16-17 (NLT) Just as the Lord was with the Apostle Paul, He is with you. All others may abandon you, but the Lord stands with you and gives you strength. He empowers you to do all that He has called you to do. The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. (Psalm 34:17 NLT) Amen.

Never Abandoned

Image
We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. — 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NLT) When troubles are pressing in on you from all sides, don't become discouraged, disappointed, or fearful. We may get knocked down, but we will get up again. Regardless of the external circumstances, God is with us and He has a plan. So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. (Galatians 6:9 NLT) For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. (2 Corinthians 4:17 NIV)
