Be A Partaker

Image
His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and virtue. Through these things He has given us His precious and magnificent promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, since you have escaped the corruption that evil desires have brought into the world. — 2 Peter 1:3-4 (TLV) We can all be partakers of the wonderful grace of God (See Philippians 1:7), and share in His precious promises. God our Savior desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (See 1 Timothy 2:3-4) As holy brethren, we are partakers of a heavenly calling. (See Hebrews 3:1) Our generous and good God has given us everything we need to escape the corruption of worldly desires and share in the divine nature. Yeshua came that we have life, and have it more abundantly, here on earth and in the age to come, eternal life. (See John 10:10 & Mark 10:29-30) Let us encourage one a...

Come to Know Him

Image
May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. — 2 Peter 1:2-3 (NLT) Yahweh has graciously and freely given to us everything that pertains to life and godliness. The Scripture says, we receive all of this by coming to know Him, the one true and living God. He calls us to Himself. Come, to know Him. And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable us to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires. (See 2 Peter 1:4) May we grow [spiritually mature] in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory (honor, majesty, splendor), both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. (See 2 Peter 3:...

Our Cup of Blessing

Image
LORD, you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. You guard all that is mine. — Psalm 16:5 (NLT) My cup overflows with blessings. — Psalm 23:5 (NLT) When we choose God first and only and realize He is all we need, our cups overflow with blessings. Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. (1 Timothy 6:6-7 NKJV) Companions as we are in this work with you, we beg you, please don’t squander one bit of this marvelous life God has given us. (2 Corinthians 6:1 MSG) But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. (1 Timothy 6:11 NKJV) Let us count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus our Lord... and count them but rubbish so that we may gain Christ (Philippians 3:8)

Still in Pursuit

Image
“When Gideon came to the Jordan, he and the three hundred men who were with him crossed over, exhausted but still in pursuit.” — Judges 8:4 (NKJV) Let us press on and continually pursue the things that our heavenly Father has called us to, and we will fulfill our purpose. We will reach our desired destination. First Timothy 6:11, tells us to pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness. Romans 14:19 says to pursue the things which make for peace. Hosea 6:3 instructs us to pursue the knowledge of the Lord. When we come to end of ourselves, let us draw strength from the LORD, our Source. And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” (Exodus 33:14  NKJV)

Great is the LORD

Image
For I know that the LORD is great, and our Lord is above all gods. — Psalm 135:5 (NKJV) The LORD is Elohim, the all—powerful God and Creator of the universe and all it contains. He intricately knits each and every person together in the the womb of their mother. And He writes all of our days in His Book, before we take our first breath. Almighty God is our provider. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above (James 1:17). He is El Shaddai: the all-sufficient One. Whatever we need, He is our source. He has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). He is Adonai or Lord, full of majesty  and glory, worthy to be praised. We are children of the Most High God. He is greater than any challenge you encounter. Let us worship Him in spirt and in truth. He must increase, but we must decrease. (John 3:30)

Enjoy Life

Image
Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. — 1 Timothy 6:17 (NIV) Put your hope and trust in God. A relationship with the LORD is not about laws and regulations. It’s about an everlasting love and a more abundant life. He has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness. (2 Peter 1:3) He richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. (1 Timothy 6:17 NLT) God is not a hard taskmaster. He is a loving Father. His instructions are not to deprive us, but to protect us and keep us on the best pathway for our lives, one full of love, joy and peace. Hallelujah! I give thanks to God with everything I’ve got— Wherever good people gather, and in the congregation. God’s works are so great, worth A lifetime of study—endless enjoyment! Splendor and beauty mark his craft; His generosity never gives out. His miracles a...

Pray for All People

Image
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. — 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (NIV) Let us pray for all people; that we may influence the world for good and not evil. Pray for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:10) Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14 NLT) This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him. (1 John 5:14-15 NASB)

Hope in God

Image
Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. — 1 Timothy 6:17 (NIV) His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, (2 Peter 1:3 NKJV). Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, (2 Corinthians 3:5). It is His mighty power at work in us and through us to bring about His perfect will on the earth. In Christ, we have everything we need. It has all been made available to us. Fullness of joy, complete peace, infinite wisdom, unconditional love, an abundant life, etc. Keep your hope in our heavenly Father.

Still in Pursuit

Image
When Gideon came to the Jordan, he and the three hundred men who were with him crossed over, exhausted but still in pursuit. — Judges 8:4 (NKJV) Are you still in hot pursuit of all that God has called you to? In spite of our energy level, may we continually pursue all God has for us, to the very end. First Timothy 6:11 tells us to pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Hebrews 12:14  says to pursue peace with all people. Sometimes the pursuit of peace with all people can be emotionally exhausting, however God has an abundant supply of love, peace, patience, etc. Let us draw from His vast supply and we will have all that we need to continue on.

For The Light

Image
“And you shall command the children of Israel that they bring you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to cause the lamp to burn continually.” — Exodus 27:20 (NKJV) Olive oil is made by a strenuous and tedious process of pressing olives. The Israelites needed olive oil for the morning and evening offerings, so it was an ongoing requirement that took diligence and dedication. In a similar fashion, as difficulties and troubles press us, let us commit to continually make the right choices and allow the impurities to be squeezed out of us. When we choose life and godliness, we allow God’s light to shine brighter and brighter through us. Be a vessel of His light. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; (2 Corinthians 4:8 NIV)

His Exceeding Generosity

Image
You can be sure that God will take care of everything you need, his generosity exceeding even yours in the glory that pours from Jesus. — Philippians 4:19 (MSG) May you abide in His perfect peace, knowing that our generous God is your provider. He will take care of all that concerns you. His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3 NKJV). Therefore I tell you, stop being perpetually uneasy (anxious and worried) about your life…(Matthew 6:25a AMP).

This Is the Day!

Image
This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. — Psalm 118:24 (NKJV) The LORD has brought about this very day for a reason and a purpose. Why rejoice? He sustained you through the night and woke you up this morning, with His breath of life flowing through your body. Be filled with joy because He bestowed upon us, fresh, new compassions and mercies, at the start of this glorious day (Lamentations 3:22-23). We can delight ourselves with the fact that our great God is faithful (1 Corinthians 1:9). He who has begun a good work in you will complete it (Philippians 1:6). Be glad that by His divine power God has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, (2 Peter 1:3). The Lord richly blesses all who call on him, (Romans 10:12 NIV). That should thrill you to no end. And most of all, our hearts should be merry because, Jesus is with us ALWAYS, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). Glory to God! His Presence with us, is to be our deepest source ...

ALL Things!

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, — 2 Peter 1:2-3 (NKJV) As we grow in our knowledge of God and of Jesus, our Lord & Savior, grace and peace will be multiplied unto us. Our great God has given us everything we need to live a godly life. He has given us ALL things that pertain (relate to) to life. Our physical healing pertains to life, the well-being of our children pertains to life, healthy, joyful relationships with our spouses, family and friends pertain to life. As we grow in our knowledge of God, and Jesus who is the truth (John 14:6), the less likely we are to believe the lies of the enemy. May we always endeavor to share an intimate, personal relationship with God the Father and Christ, His Son!

Access to All Good Things

May grace (God’s favor) and peace (which is perfect well-being, all necessary good, all spiritual prosperity, and freedom from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts) be multiplied to you in [the full, personal, precise, and correct] knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. — 2 Peter 1:2 (Amp) According to Psalm 34:10, those who seek the LORD lack no good thing. God has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). And we gain access to these good things by getting to know Him, personally and intimately. The best way to get to know someone is to spend time with them. As we spend time with our heavenly Father, our nature becomes more like His divine nature and we take on more of His characteristics. Amen.

Everything We Need!

His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, — 2 Peter 1:3 (NKJV) God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. If it pertains to life AND it's godly, it has already been given to us. We receive these things, by getting to know, on a personal and intimate basis, the One who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Amen!

Exercise Daily

Exercise daily in God—no spiritual flabbiness, please! Workouts in the gymnasium are useful, but a disciplined life in God is far more so, making you fit both today and forever. You can count on this. Take it to heart. This is why we've thrown ourselves into this venture so totally. We're banking on the living God, Savior of all men and women, especially believers. 1 Timothy 4:7-10 (The Message) Let us exercise ourselves toward godliness everyday, performing workouts in love and kindness. Physical training is good, but godliness is profitable for all things. Living a disciplined, godly life promises benefits in this life and in the life to come. In addition to ensuring we are physically fit, may we make certain that we are spiritually fit also. Totally throw yourself into living for God, the Savior of all.

Pursue Righteousness

But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:11-12 (NIV) As men and women of God, let us heed the words the Apostle Paul shared with Timothy. He warned him to stay away from the love of money and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love endurance and gentleness. As we do these things we will win the good fight of faith and gain the prize of an abundant life here on earth and eternal life in heaven. Love, Jackie
