Something New

“ Do not call to mind the former things, or consider things of the past. Behold, I am going to do something new, now it will spring up; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert. ”  — Isaiah 43:18-19 (NASB) In Isaiah 42:9 (NKJV), God the LORD says: “Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare; Before they spring forth I tell you of them.” If we stay focused on our past, we might miss the new things Yahweh is doing in our midst. Not that I have already grasped it all or have already become perfect, but I press on if I may also take hold of that for which I was even taken hold of by Christ Jesus. Brothers and sisters, I do not regard myself as having taken hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:12-14 NASB) Stop holding on to the past and embra...

He will Make a Way

“ Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. ” — Isaiah 43:18-19 (NKJV) When there seems to be no way out of a challenging situation, you can be certain the LORD will make a way. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His ways higher than our ways, and His thoughts than our thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9) God is my strength and power, and He makes my way perfect. (Samuel 22:33 NKJV) Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. — Psalm 25:4-5 (NLT)

He's doing something New!

“Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them.” — Isaiah 42:9 (NKJV) Look forward to the new things the Lord will do in your life today. Dwelling on former things is a futile effort. What you choose to do today will affect your tomorrow, but there is nothing you can do today that will change the past. As long as the enemy can keep you looking back, he is paralyzing your future. Be aware, the Lord is doing something new. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it?  (Isaiah 43:19 NKJV)

Something New

“Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.” — Isaiah 43:19 (NASB) “Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past.” (Isaiah 43:18 NASB) It is hard to press on to what God has for you if you keep looking back at the disappointments, hurts and regrets of the past. Just as His mercies begin afresh each morning (Lamentations 3:23 NLT), the LORD is always doing something new. The Message Bible says: “Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new.”

A New Thing

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you n ot perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” — Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV) Don’t waste time pondering past events. Today is the day the LORD has made. His mercies begin afresh each morning (Lamentations 3:23 NLT). Be fully present in the here and now. Watch expectantly to see what new thing the LORD has in store for you today. “ I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols. See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you. ” (Isaiah 42:8-9 NIV)

He’s Making a Way!

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” — Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV) Many of us seek security in doing things the way we have always done them, but God is doing a new thing. Instead of trying to keep Him in the box of what He did yesterday, let God be the Lord of our lives and expect Him to do a new thing, something we have never seen before. We don't need to figure everything out on our own, we just need to walk in the way the LORD directs us to. Even though you don’t see the whole journey mapped out before you, be confident that God is making a way to get you from where you are today to the land He promised you.

A New Thing!

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” — Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV) God is doing a NEW thing! Do not dwell on the past. Instead of complaining about the door that closed, look for the new door of opportunity, that God is opening. Whether we are wandering in the wilderness or in the wasteland, our heavenly Father is making a way for us, where there seems to be no way. Hallelujah!
