How Great a Love!

Image
See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we would be called children of God; and we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. — 1 John 3:1 (LSB) In John 16:27, Yeshua says: “…the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came forth from the Father.” Our Heavenly Father, the Creator of Heaven and earth, dearly loves you. He is mindful of you and the good plans He has for you. …may you, having been [deeply] rooted and [securely] grounded in love, be fully capable of comprehending with all the saints (God’s people) the width and length and height and depth of His love [fully experiencing that amazing, endless love]; (See Ephesians 3:17-18 AMP).

Follow in His Steps

Image
“For what credit is there if, when you sin and are harshly treated, you endure it with patience? But if when you do what is right and suffer for it you patiently endure it, this finds favor with God. For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps,” — 1 Peter 2:20-21 (NASB1995) May we intentionally follow the example of our Savior, King Yeshua. “He never sinned and he never spoke deceitfully. When he was verbally abused, he did not return with an insult; when he suffered, he would not threaten retaliation. Jesus faithfully entrusted himself into the hands of God, who judges righteously.” (1 Peter 2:22-23 TPT) “For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.” (1 Peter 2:25 NASB1995) Closely follow the good Shepherd Who gives His life for the sheep. (See John 10:11 NKJV)

Called, Chosen & Faithful

Image
“These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful.” — Revelation 17:14 (NASB1995) First Peter 2:9 (NASB1995) says we have been called out of darkness into His marvelous light. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; (1 Peter 1:14-15) We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. (See 1 Peter 2:9 NKJV) Ephesians 1:4 (NASB1995) says, God chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. If we are with Yeshua, the Lamb of God, we are the called and chosen. Let us also be faithful to the King of kings and our heavenly Father. May we persevere through the troubles, trials and temptations, knowing that after we have suffered for a little while, the God o...

“if My people...”

Image
“if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” — 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV) If children of God (those who are called by His name), want Yahweh to heal and restore our land, we need to do our part. First, we are to humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God (See 1 Peter 5:6). Second, we are to persistently pray to our Heavenly Father, instead of complaining, criticizing, or worrying. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. (See James 5:16 NLT)  Third, the Word says to seek His face. This is a posture of the heart.  Psalms 27:8 (NASB1995) says: When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You, “Your face, O LORD, I shall seek.” The affections of our hearts are to be set on Yahweh, more than anything else this world has to offer. And the fourth thing we are instructed to do...

Call and He Will Answer

Image
In my distress I called to Yahweh, and He answered me. — Psalms 120:1 (LSB) In my desperation I prayed, and the LORD listened; he saved me from all my troubles. (Psalms 34:6 NLT) The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. The righteous person faces many troubles, but the LORD comes to the rescue each time. (Psalms 34:17-19 NLT) I will praise the LORD at all times. I will constantly speak his praises. I will boast only in the LORD; let all who are helpless take heart. Come, let us tell of the LORD’s greatness; let us exalt his name together. (Psalms 34:1-3 NLT) I pour out my complaints before him and tell him all my troubles. When I am overwhelmed, you alone know the way I should turn.  — Psalms 142:2-3a (NLT)

We Overcome

Image
These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful.” — Revelation 17:14 (NASB1995) …God highly exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Yeshua every knee should bow, in heaven and on the earth and under the earth, and every tongue profess that Yeshua the Messiah is Lord— to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:9-11 TLV) Little children (believers, dear ones), you are of God and you belong to Him and have [already] overcome them [the agents of the antichrist]; because He who is in you is greater than he (Satan) who is in the world [of sinful mankind]. (1 John 4:4 AMP) We are a chosen people and have been called out of darkness and into His marvelous light (See 1 Peter 2:9) Let us be faithful to our Redeemer.  “Behold, I am coming soon, and My reward is with Me, to pay back each one according to his deeds. ...

He's Calling

Image
“ All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. ” — John 6:37-38 (NASB1995) See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! (See 1 John 3:1 NIV) Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. (Ephesians 1:4-5 NLT) With lovingkindness the heavenly Father draws us. And what a comfort to know that Yeshua accepts all who come to Him. Yeshua continually calls for ALL to come to Him and abide in Him. And like Yeshua, may we be about doing the will of our Heavenly Father Who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Chosen & Called

Image
They will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will triumph over them; for He is Lord of lords and King of kings—and those with Him and on His side are chosen and called [elected] and loyal and faithful followers. — Revelation 17:14 (AMPC) The Lamb of God, and those with Him, will triumph and conquer all. Those with Him are  chosen . Ephesians 1:4-5 (NLT) says: Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; (See 1 Peter 2:9 NKJV) Those with Him are called . We are called to be saints. First Corinthians 1:2 (NKJV) says: To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who...

Called, Chosen & Faithful

Image
They will wage war against the Lamb (Christ), and the Lamb will triumph and conquer them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him and on His side are the called and chosen (elect) and faithful. — Revelation 17:14 (AMP) We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that we may proclaim the praises of Him who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light (See 1 Peter 2:9 NKJV) For at one time we were not God’s people, but now we are. At one time we knew nothing of God’s mercy, because we hadn’t received it yet, but now we are drenched with it! (See 1 Peter 2:10 TPT) Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. (Ephesians 1:4 NLT) Let us be faithful followers of Christ. Our victory is in Him. He has already overcome the world. (See John 16:33)

God is For Us

Image
What then shall we say in view of these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? — Romans 8:31 (TLV) In view of all the things we go through in this life, we can be confident that YAHWEH is with us and He is for us. We are chosen and called. (See 1 Peter 2:9) Revelation 17:14 says, those who are with the Lamb, the Lord of lords and King of kings, are called, chosen, and faithful. And He has overcome all who make war with Him. God who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? (See Romans 8:32, 35 NASB1995) Nothing can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (See Romans 8:38-39) Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and his demonstrated love is our glorious vict...

Our Calling

Image
God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. — 1 Corinthians 1:9 (NASB1995) We are called to live a close and intimate relationship with the King of kings and the Lord of lords, to abide in Him, at all times. We are called to follow Him, wherever He leads us. We are called into the comfort of His love and His perfect peace. Let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. (See Colossians 3:15 NLT) ...you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. (Galatians 5:13 NLT) We are called to conform into His image. For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, he called them to come to him… (...

Do You Love God?

Image
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. — Romans 8:28 (NASB1995) We know Yahweh is able to make all things work together for good in our lives. The question is, do we love God? For the [true] love of God is this: that we habitually keep His commandments and remain focused on His precepts. And His commandments and His precepts are not difficult [to obey]. (1 John 5:3 NASB1995 AMP) And what is the great and foremost commandment? It says: “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.” The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ (See Matthew 22:37-39 NASB1995) No matter what difficulties come into our lives, may we love God, love our neighbor as ourself [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for others] (See Matthew 2239 AMP), and be guided continually by His precepts and purpose. Then we can be certai...

The Called & Chosen

Image
“These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful.” — Revelation 17:14 (NASB1995) In his kindness, the God of all grace, called us to His eternal glory in Christ. (See 1 Peter 5:10) He called us out of darkness and into His marvelous light. We are a chosen generation. (See 1 Peter 2:9) Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. (Ephesians 1:4 NLT) Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance. (Psalm 33:12 NKJV)  We are the called and chosen, may we be faithful to Yahweh and obey His Word. Let us be faithful followers of Christ, all of our days. Ensure that He is always your first love. In Revelation 2:10 (NASB1995), Jesus said: “Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.” Now thanks be to God who always leads us in ...

Chosen & Called

Image
For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory. — Romans 29-30 (NLT) We have been chosen by Yahweh, and called to come to Him. We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that we may proclaim the praises of Him who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light; (See 1 Peter 2:9) He chose us to become like His Son, Yeshua. He has risen from death to life. Let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and walk in His light and the more abundant life Yeshua came to give us. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Ephesians 2:10 NLT) Amen.

Chosen & Called

Image
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.  — 1 Peter 2:9 (NASB) “The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned.” (Matthew 4:16 NKJV) We have been chosen by God, and called out of the darkness and into His marvelous light. We are the generation God chose to be here for such a time as this. We have been called to lay aside the deeds of those dwelling in darkness and proclaim the praises of our Heavenly Father. We are to be holy, set apart from worldly ways. We are chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of th...

Made in His Image

Image
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness...” — Genesis 1:26 (NASB) God is love (see 1 John 4:16) He is a God of peace. (see 1 Thessalonians 5:23) We are made in His image. Let us bear the character and nature of our Creator. We are called and chosen by God. And the One Who called us is faithful. Choose for yourselves today whom you will serve. (see Joshua 2:14-15)

Called to Active Duty

Image
For every soldier called to active duty must divorce himself from the distractions of this world so that he may fully satisfy the one who chose him. — 2 Timothy 2:4 (TPT) Let us divorce ourselves from the distractions of this world. We do not belong to the world. (John 17:14) We have been called out of darkness into His wonderful light, so we can show others the goodness of God (1 Peter 2:9 NLT). Let us proclaim the excellencies of the Most High God. We were called to active duty, not to passively sit by the wayside and be a spectator. We are a chosen people, chosen to actively and passionately serve the LORD. May we fully satisfy the One Who called us. I am saying this for your benefit, not to place restrictions on you. I want you to do whatever will help you serve the Lord best, with as few distractions as possible. — 1 Corinthians 7:35 (NLT)

Know Whose You Are

Image
But you are God’s chosen treasure—priests who are kings, a spiritual “nation” set apart as God’s devoted ones. He called you out of darkness to experience his marvelous light, and now he claims you as his very own. He did this so that you would broadcast his glorious wonders throughout the world. — 1 Peter 2:9 (TPT) Let us be devoted to the One who called us out of darkness and made us members of His royal family. This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike “What’s next, Papa?” God’s Spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really are. We know who he is, and we know who we are: Father and children.  (Romans 8:15-16 MSG) No matter “ what ” happens, know “ who ” you are: a child of God. And remember our heavenly Father is with you and He always takes care of His children.

Walk by Faith

Image
for we walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises] — 2 Corinthians 5:7 (AMP) Let’s live our lives by faith, with confidence in the power and goodness of our great God. Because we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28 NASB) And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.” But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved. — Hebrews 10:38-39 (NLT)

CALLED!

Image
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; — 1 Peter 2:9 (NASB) Not only have we been called out of darkness. We have been called into His marvelous light, into holiness and purity. We have been called into His everlasting peace and inexplicable joy. We have been called into His amazing grace and mercy. We have been called into God’s family and we have received a glorious inheritance. We have been called into His purpose and good plan for our lives. May we proclaim the wondrous acts of the One who called us. Amen.
