For the Lord is always good and ready to receive you. He’s so loving that it will amaze you— so kind that it will astound you! And he is famous for his faithfulness toward all. Everyone knows our God can be trusted, for he keeps his promises to every generation! — Psalm 100:5 (TPT) The LORD is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation. (Psalm 145:9 NLT) The arms of the Lord are open and He says: "COME!" He is always ready to receive you. Make this your one purpose: to revere Him and serve Him faithfully with complete devotion because He has done great things for you. (1 Samuel 12:24 VOICE)

Know therefore that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments; — Deuteronomy 7:9 (NASB) Know without a doubt that our God is a faithful Father. While people may disappoint you and let you down, our heavenly Father is forever faithful. He is faithful to fulfill every promise He has spoken. Trust and rely on His lovingkindness and faithfulness; Rejoice and delight in His salvation. (Psalm 13:5) Like a bird protecting its young, God will cover you with His feathers, will protect you under His great wings; His faithfulness will form a shield around you, a rock-solid wall to protect you. (Psalm 91:4 VOICE) Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. — 1 Chronicles 16:34 (NLT)

And He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter replied, “The Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed) of God!” — Luke 9:20 (AMP) Who do you say Jesus is? In John 6:67, Jesus asked the twelve disciples, “Are you also going to leave?” Simon Peter answered, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You [alone] have the words of eternal life [you are our only hope]. We have believed and confidently trusted, and [even more] we have come to know [by personal observation and experience] that You are the Holy One of God [the Christ, the Son of the living God].” (John 6:68-69 AMP) Believe and confidently trust in Jesus. Let us earnestly and diligently seek the Lord. He is our only hope.

Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. — Hebrews 10:23 (NLT) Always hold onto hope. The woman who had been suffering with an issue of blood for twelve years, could have given up, but instead she pressed through the crowd, touched the fringe of Jesus’ cloak and received her healing. (Matthew 9:20-22) The man who had an infirmity thirty-eight years, continued to lay by the pool of Bethesda waiting for the moving of the water, day after day. (John 5:2-3) He held onto hope and was in the right place at the right time. One encounter with Jesus and immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. (John 5:5-9) So then, my soul, why would you be depressed? Why would you sink into despair? Just keep hoping and waiting on God, your Savior. One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.” So they got into a boat and started out. As they sailed across, Jesus settled down for a nap. But soon a fierce storm came down on the lake. The boat was filling with water, and they were in real danger. The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” — Luke 8:22-24a (NLT) I believe Jesus was able to sleep in the middle of the storm because He trusted the Father, and He knew He had power and authority over the storm. When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and the raging waves. Suddenly the storm stopped and all was calm. Then he asked them, “Where is your faith?”  (Luke 8:24b-25a) Let your faith be in Jesus, Immanuel (God with us). (Isaiah 7:14) Trust God and you too will have peace and calm in the middle of the storms. Be confident that you will sail through the storms and get to the destination God has promised to you.

Jesus’ disciples went with him as he left in a boat. Suddenly, a severe storm came across the sea. The waves were covering the boat. Yet, Jesus was sleeping. — Matthew 8:23-24 (GW) The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. (Matthew 8:25-26 NIV) The disciples were fearful because they were focusing on the conditions of the storm. Jesus was sleeping because He trusted the Father. If we are in the boat with Jesus, we too can have perfect peace when severe storms come our way, by trusting God. His Presence is our protection. Instead of looking at the winds and the waves (circumstances), keep your eyes on Jesus, the Champion who initiates and perfects our faith. (Hebrews 12:2 NLT)

He trusted in the LORD God of Israel, so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor who were before him. For he held fast to the LORD; he did not depart from following Him, but kept His commandments... — 2 Kings 18:5-6 (NKJV) King Hezekiah put his trust in God. The LORD was with him; he prospered wherever he went (2 Kings 18:7). He remained faithful to the LORD in everything , so the LORD was with him, and Hezekiah was successful in everything he did (2 Kings 18:6,7 NLT). The secret to his success: He held fast to God—never loosened his grip—and obeyed to the letter everything God had commanded Moses (2 Kings 18:6 MSG). What are you holding onto? Fears, worries, anxieties? Hold fast to the LORD. Cling to Him and never depart from following His ways and success in all you do will surely follow.

Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.” — 1 Samuel 17:45 (NKJV) Goliath, the Philistine giant, challenged the armies of Israel for forty days. While the rest of the Israelites were dismayed and greatly afraid, David took a stand against his enemy. Instead of being fearful and intimidated, he activated his faith. He did not concern himself with the size of Goliath. David saw the situation from a higher viewpoint. He kept his eyes on God and trusted Him to deliver him from Goliath, just as God had delivered him in the past (1 Samuel 17:37). Our inner selves wait [earnestly] for the Lord; He is our Help and our Shield. For in Him does our heart rejoice, because we have trusted (relied on and been confident) in His holy name. Let Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, be upon us, in proportion to our waiting and hoping for You.  — Psalm 33:20-22 (AMP) May your heart and soul rejoice in the Lord, our Help and our Shield! Abiding in His Presence will make your joy complete. He is everything we need!

So the LORD was with him, and Hezekiah was successful in everything he did. — 2 Kings 18:7 (NLT) There are 3 things which Hezekiah did that led to His success. He did what was right in the sight of the LORD (2 Kings 18:3, NKJV). He trusted in the LORD God of Israel, and he held fast to Him. Hezekiah did not depart from following the LORD, but kept His commandments (2 Kings 18:5-6, NKJV). When we do what is pleasing in the LORD’s sight, completely trust in God and hold fast to Him, we can be certain that our heavenly Father will guide us along on the pathway to sweet and lasting success. Amen.

Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in Him, Because we have trusted in His holy name. Let Your mercy, O LORD, be upon us, Just as we hope in You. — Psalm 33:20-22 (NKJV) Earnestly wait in expectation for Almighty God to show Himself mighty in your life. Our help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. God Most High is a shield around us. Take refuge in Him. Let your hope be in Him alone. When God is on our side, no one can stand against us.

But I trusted in, relied on, and was confident in You, O Lord; I said, You are my God. My times are in Your hands; deliver me from the hands of my foes and those who pursue me and persecute me.  — Psalm 31:14-15 (AMP) Don't put your confidence in the things of this world. They are temporary, here today, gone tomorrow. Trust in and rely on the Lord. He never changes. You can depend on God to be there when you need Him most. Your future is in His hands and His plan is for good, not harm. Look forward to what God desires to do in your life with great expectation!

So the king gave the order, and Daniel was brought to him and thrown into the lions’ den.  Daniel 6:16 (GW) Ever feel like you are in the lion's den, surrounded by the enemy? Daniel was thrown into the lions' den for praying and praising God. However, when he was taken out of the den, Daniel was completely unharmed because he trusted God (Daniel 6:23). Today, the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. But remember, He who is in you is GREATER than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). And no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). TRUST GOD!
