No Complaining

Image
Soon the people began to complain about their hardship, and the LORD heard everything they said. Then the LORD’s anger blazed against them, and he sent a fire to rage among them, and he destroyed some of the people in the outskirts of the camp. — Numbers 11:1 (NLT) Complaining is unproductive, and it spreads negativity into the atmosphere. Instead of complaining, grumbling and murmuring about momentary afflictions and trials, bless the everlasting God, at all times. Let His praise continually flow from your mouth. (See Psalms 34:1) Hope continually, and praise Him yet more and more. (See Psalms 71:14) May the fruit of our lips, give thanks to His name forevermore. (See Hebrews 13:15) Keep trusting Yahweh to work everything together for good as you patiently endure troubles, hardships and calamities of every kind. Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, ...

Let Your Light Shine

Image
So Moses and Aaron said to all the people of Israel, “By evening you will realize it was the LORD who brought you out of the land of Egypt. In the morning you will see the glory of the LORD, because he has heard your complaints, which are against him, not against us. What have we done that you should complain about us?” — Exodus 16:6-7 (NLT) Whoever or whatever you are murmuring or complaining about, your complaint is against God. He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding. (See Daniel 2:21 NKJV) The LORD has established His throne in the heavens, and His sovereignty rules over all. (Psalms 103:19 NASB1995) Titus 3:2 (NKJV) says to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men. Let us embrace the season we are in, and trust Yahweh to work it all together for good. Philippians 2:14-15 (AMP) instructs us to do everything without murmuring or question...

Praise the LORD!

Image
Praise the LORD! Let all that I am praise the LORD. I will praise the LORD as long as I live. I will sing praises to my God with my dying breath. — Psalm 146:1-2 (NLT) May we continually praise and give thanks to the LORD. He inhabits the praises of His people. When we whine and complain, it kills our joy and peace. When our mouths continually praise and give thanks to God, even in the midst of adverse circumstances, we strengthen our trust and reliance on God. We are able to keep our peace and joy, knowing that our mighty God is working everything together for good. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. — 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NLT)

He will Carry your Load

Image
Pile your troubles on God’s shoulders— he’ll carry your load, he’ll help you out. He’ll never let good people topple into ruin. — Psalm 55:22 (MSG) We have a God who wants to bear our burdens. He tells us to cast all our cares on Him, because He cares for us. (1 Peter 5:7) No need to wear yourself out, being overburdened. No need to whine and complain about them. Don't compare them with the burden of another. Just give them to the LORD. Let go and let God work. Trust Him. Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, the God who is our salvation. Selah. — Psalm 68:19 (NASB)

Praise God for His Provision

Image
Soon the people began to complain about their hardship, and the LORD heard everything they said. Then the LORD’s anger blazed against them… — Numbers 11:1 (NLT) The Israelites said, “ We remember the fish which we ate freely in Egypt, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic; but now our whole being is dried up; there is nothing at all except this manna before our eyes! ” (Numbers 11:5-6 NKJV). They despised the provision of the LORD and glorified what they ate while they were slaves. Sometimes we can get so focused on the small insignificant things, that we miss the big thing God is doing. The big thing is that they were free. May we always remember the good the LORD is doing, and has done in our lives. Instead of complaining about what we don’t have, let us lift our hands to praise God for all that He has provided. May we use the breath of life that He has put in our lungs to thank God that in spite of the hardships we face, He still reigns!

God Lasts!

Image
Why would you ever complain, O Jacob, or, whine, Israel, saying, “God has lost track of me. He doesn’t care what happens to me”? Don’t you know anything? Haven’t you been listening? God doesn’t come and go. God lasts. He’s Creator of all you can see or imagine. He doesn’t get tired out, doesn’t pause to catch his breath. And he knows everything, inside and out. — Isaiah 40:27-28 (MSG) Why would we ever complain or whine, as if God has forgotten about us? God Lasts! He is there, watching over us every second of every day. He doesn’t take a vacation and He never needs a break. He continually pours out His goodness and compassion on us. Know that God knows and He cares. And He is working everything together for good in your life.

What's Growing in Your Garden?

Image
Do all things without complaining and disputing, — Philippians 2:14 (NKJV) Your words are seeds that germinate in the soil of your heart. They will either produce life or death. Proverbs 18:21 says, death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. When you criticize, complain, bicker, and engage in faultfinding, your words produce poisonous weeds that will choke the life out of the hearer. May we speak positive, uplifting praiseworthy words of encouragement over our lives and into the lives of others. Then the garden of our hearts will thrive and produce a harvest full of life, strength and beauty.

Grateful Recognition

But if one loves God truly [with affectionate reverence, prompt obedience, and grateful recognition of His blessing], he is known by God [recognized as worthy of His intimacy and love, and he is owned by Him]. — 1 Corinthians 8:3 (AMP) Gratefulness goes beyond perfection. We are to have a grateful heart even when circumstances are not perfect. Gratitude is an attitude of the heart that is able to recognize the good in every situation. Even though you didn’t get the promotion, you can be grateful to still have a job. Being grateful is simply a choice we make to either complain about what we don’t have or be grateful for what we do have.
