Attitude is Everything

Image
Now it happened as the ark of the covenant of Yahweh came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David leaping and celebrating; and she despised him in her heart. — 1 Chronicles 15:29 (LSB) After the ark of Yahweh was placed inside the tent, David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before Yahweh. Then he blessed the people. (See 2 Samuel 6:17-18 LSB) Second Samuel 6:20 (NLT) says: When David returned home to bless his own family, Michal, the daughter of Saul, came out to meet him. She said in disgust, “How distinguished the king of Israel looked today, shamelessly exposing himself to the servant girls like any vulgar person might do!” Our words truly reveal what is in our hearts. Matthew 12:34 says: …out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Due to her negative attitude, Michal missed out on the blessing from her husband and also the blessing of bearing a child. She remained childless her entire life. (See 2 Samu...

Fear the LORD

Image
But the LORD watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his unfailing love. He rescues them from death and keeps them alive in times of famine. — Psalms 33:18-19 (NLT) The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. (See Proverbs 9:10 & 3:7) “For the eyes of the Lord Yahweh rest upon the godly, and his heart responds to their prayers. But he turns his back on those who practice evil.” ‭‭(1 Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭12‬ ‭TPT‬‬) Let all the earth fear Yahweh; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. (Psalms 33:8 LSB) Great is the LORD! He is most worthy of praise! He is to be feared above all gods. (Psalms 96:4 NLT) Honor Yahweh with a humble heart and awe-inspired reverence.  Not only are the eyes of the LORD on those who fear Him, Psalms 34:7 (NASB1995) says: The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, and rescues them. O [reverently]...

The Valley of Decision

Image
Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. — Joel 3:14 (NKJV) In 2 Corinthians 6:2 (NASB1995), God says: “At the acceptable time I listened to you, and on the day of salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is “the acceptable time,” behold, now is “the day of salvation” We bear the consequences for the decisions we make. Decide wisely today. Yahweh has set before us life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live. (See Deuteronomy 30:19) Choose righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (See Romans 14:17) Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6) Open the door of your heart to Him today. For “Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.” (Romans 10:13 NLT)

Here to Help

Image
“ Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. …And I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.’ ” — Isaiah 41:10,13 (NLT) Whatever  comes your way today, know that the great “ I AM ” is here to help you. And Immanuel, “God with Us,” has already obtained the victory for us, so don’t give up and don’t give in. Keep standing on the Word of God, our strong foundation, and you will not be shaken. With our great God, all things are possible. “Yes, this is our God, our great God forever. He will lead us onward until the end, through all time, beyond death, and into eternity!” (Psalms 48:14 TPT)

Our Strength

Image
The LORD is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving. — Psalm 28:7 (NLT) See, God has come to save me. I will trust in him and not be afraid. The LORD God is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. (Isaiah 12:2 NLT) Why try to do anything in mere human ability, with our limited perspective? Rely on the LORD and His strength and power that resides within you, through the Holy Spirit. God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. (Psalm 46:1 NLT) “ Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, ” says the LORD of hosts. (See Zechariah 4:6 NKJV)
